After driving by this place for as long as it has been around, i finally stopped in for a bite.
I was a bit skeptical at first but the food is AWESOME. I had the mofongo which is huge and really good. the fried pork it comes with is also really really good. there’s no way you’ll be able to finish the large plate.
Having no real experience with latin food i was very pleasantly surprised. Stop in a check it out — the people who run the place are really nice and helpful.

Excellent food. Went here the other night for the first time, and I was very impressed. The mofongo was delicious. Large plates (of everything) are $ 8 and small plates are $ 5. A large plate will likely feed two people.
A word of warning: I was asked what kind of meat I wanted with my mofongo, and chose the beef in the trays on display. I thought that it came with the meal, but apparently pork comes with the mofongo and the beef was $ 2.50 extra. The beef was insanely scrumptious though and was a large side, and I dipped the mofongo in the sauce it came with. Perfect.
Also, their arepa corn cake dessert is HUGE and only $ 1. Amazing. Best Latin food in Charlestown.
