I have been seeing DR Bley and Kathy for about 7yrs now and they are both wonderful!!!

Man, what a great dentist. So friendly, and he really cares about the health of your teeth. The whole staff is wonderful; my teeth always look amazing when I come out of here. My grandmother and I both love Dr. B!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars! Dr. Bley and his entire staff are excellent. They are professional and warm. You always feel like the remember you and are there to make the whole process, painless and stress free. I have never had a dentist so engaged and helpful. Hands down he is THE BEST dentist I have ever had.
I would recommend to anyone needing a dentist to RUN not walk to Dr. Bley!

I’ve been seeing Dr Bley for about 3 years — since moving to Boston. In summary he and his staff have consistently performed with the utmost professionalism, consistently meeting my expectations and always doing so with a ‘bedside’ manner that makes everything from cleanings to implants easy and pain free. Thanks Dr Bley!

I thought I liked Dr. Bley, and I don’t know of any reason not to. Except ever since seeing him for dental work, I’ve choked on food four times requiring some form of Heimlich maneuver to dislodge the food. When I got a cavity filled I thought he gave me an injection around the back of my throat. He asked me which side of the mouth I chew food on, and I never thought much about it. But since that appointment I’ll be darned if I haven’t consistently choked on food. I’d never before choked on food. It’s probably just a coincidence and technically not related at all, but I just can’t get it out of my head. The teeth cleaning there is super strong, which I liked because I had lots of build up. But simply the response of I’ve gotten since having that filling gives me reason to withhold a five star rating.

More focused on making money than performing quality dental work. Extensive dental work is pushed at every visit (filling repairs, onlays, root canals, oral surgery & veneers) that is not necessary. Dental work is performed without verifying insurance and patient ends up carrying the full cost of the dental work. If you want to spend lots of money on unnecessary dental work, make an appointment with Dr Bley!

tl;dr Salesy, just after $ and does a poor job on fillings.
I honestly started out really liking Dr. Bley and his staff. They’re super friendly, nice and knowledgeable. I was somewhat suspicious of the number of fillings he said I needed after my first few appointments, but I went along with it and had them done. He seemed to be very motivated by my great dental insurance and I was concerned he was doing things that weren’t necessary. It got to the point where I was scheduling only early morning cleanings in the hope that I didn’t see Dr. Bley. I was worried he’d say I needed more fillings, but the final straw was him telling me I needed veneers because I have a small gap in my front teeth. I’m not convinced I need fake teeth to cover up perfectly healthy ones for a purely cosmetic reason.
This was going to be the bulk of my review — he’s salesy and pushes people towards things they don’t actually need. However, today I finally saw a new dentist. He showed me pictures of my teeth and the jagged-​edged fillings that Dr. Bley did. Because the fillings weren’t done well, they are causing new small cavities to form and need to be fixed. These fillings are just a few years old — good fillings should last about 10 years.
I wish I’d gotten a new dentist sooner. If I could give 0 stars, I would.

Dr. Bley’s office is very clean and he has very convenient office hours (who else sees patients at 730? I’m never late for work after seeing him!). I had a dental emergency a few months back and his associate, Dr. King, was kind enough to see me during her lunch break. The entire staff, from the front desk on up, is professional, courteous, and kind.

My wife and I have been going to Dr. Bley (formerly Dr. Levine office) for 35 years. We have had outstanding attention and state of the art care from him and his associates. They are always careful about comfort and pain management which we appreciate. We also have had great help dealing with insurance issues from his friendly and efficient front desk personnel.

I chose this dentist because they were one of the only ones who accepted my insurance AND had outstanding reviews online. I was not let down at all!!! The staff was extremely thorough and attentive during the entire process. I felt valued as a patient and am actually looking forward to my next appointment! Crazy, huh?!

I’ve been going to see Dr Bley and his staff for probably about 8 years now and can’t recommend him highly enough. I’ve referred probably 10 people over the years as I’ve been so impressed.
Over a year ago Dr Bley and his team found an usual air pocket on my gum line and referred me to an oral surgeon. Turns out I needed a dental implant which meant that I needed to have my front tooth pulled. Very traumatic but Dr Bley was so great through the whole process. I couldn’t have dealt with it with anyone else, he was just fantastic. I got my final tooth today and it looks just like the original, if not better.
I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Dr Bley is simply the best: brilliant, professional, gentle, innovative, concerned, fair, calming and best bedside manner ever. His hygienists and front desk staff are aces also. I send all my loved ones to him and everyone agrees he is the best dentist we have ever had. Period.

Although Dr. Bley and his hygienist are very friendly, this office is out to make a dollar first. It’s incredibly hard to find a good dentist and I hate to say this is not one. If all you need is a cleaning this office will get the job done but beware the man is quick to drill!
To fix a bad filling that had been done no more than a year earlier he wanted to give me a porcelain onlay, telling me their «could» be decay. Before following through they sent a claim to my insurance company to see if the procedure would be covered. The claim was denied twice because my insurance company said the procedure was not neccisary. While I waited for my insurance company to get back to me I went out of my way to get two more opinions. Both dentists said a new filling would fix the issue. It would have been a $ 1300 out of pocket expense for something that could have just been refilled.

Dr. Bley and his staff have stuck with me thru thick and thin. Not only is he an excellent dentist but he gives out his cell phone number os if you need to call him at 11pm on Sunday night you can.
The office is well-​run, the hygienists the best in town, and Dr. Bley has always, always made it easy for me to pay for things that were not covered by insurance.
As to the person who wrote the bad review, I can only say that Dr. Bley is human and he made a mistake.
I bet if you went back to him with the second opinion, he would have either had more input to support his opinion or would have apologized like crazy for slipping up.
Dr. Bley and his practice are in it for the love of the craft, the trade of dentistry, and the ability to help people.
He’s the man and I trust him with my life — literally.

It really saddens me to write this review because I thought so highly of Dr. Bley and his staff. They’re personable, friendly, thoughtful, etc. Anyway, after a routine replacement of an old filling on a lower molar, the molar directly above it started aching. He and his specialist both told me this upper molar needed to be replaced with an implant. I took my boss’ advice and drove all the way to Connecticut for a second opinion from his dentist, Dr. Feldsman, who came in on his day off, to see me as a favor to his old buddy, my boss. Turns out, I didn’t need all this work — it was simply that Dr. Bley left the new filling on my lower molar «high», resulting in the irritation of nerves of the upper molar. Dr. Feldsman fixed it by simply re-​adjusting my bite. It took 2 minutes and the pain immediately disappeared. He also looked at the x-​ray, did a couple of other checks and said there was no obvious crack and no reason to replace this tooth with an implant. Dr. Feldsman has no ulterior motive for this dramatically different diagnosis: he’s semi-​retired, didn’t charge me for anything and isn’t looking for new patients… he was simply horrified by Dr. Bley.
Before going in for extensive, expensive oral surgery, always get a second opinion. My doing so saved me from unnecessary oral surgery, 6 months of recovery and AT LEAST $ 8,000.
Do yourself a favor and run.
