Although I have been to many CVS throughout the US, this is one of only two CVS I have reviewed at this point, and like the other one in Washington DC, I’m praising this particular one because of its outstanding service. When I was staying in Ames Boston Hotel for vacation, I walked into this CVS store to pick up some water at early morning. I was immediately greeted by the cheerful store manager who also helped me find my water. From the moment I walked in to the moment I finished checking out, I had a pleasant conversation with the friendly staff and enjoyed my visit. Totally did not expect this great experience from a simple water run! The store selection is definitely bigger than your normal CVS, but I have chip a star off because it isn’t open 24-hour like usual. Nonetheless, this is a great, reliable stop for various goods with awesome staff if you are living or staying nearby.

Nice, clean store with friendly staff! I really like the self checkouts as they are pretty fast and easy. I was able to find everything I needed and a few wants that were on sale at great prices. They also have the biggest selection that I’ve ever noticed in CVSs on celebration stuff like cards, bags, and balloons.

This review is specifically for the pharmacy. The technicians who work at this location are phenomenal, especially Michael. I have encountered plenty of disgruntled techs at other pharmacies in the past who don’t seem too concerned about the customer, but here, they go above and beyond to provide an exceptional level of service. Michael has gone out of his way to call my insurance company and resolve issues that his job definitely doesn’t require him to do. He even calls me to let me know if an issue comes up, rather than waiting until I visit to tell me. The techs here have saved me a lot of time and effort and I would go out of my way to visit this pharmacy even if I didn’t work next door.

This CVS had cold drinks at reasonable prices along with a decent selection of snacks. Did not use the pharmacy, so I’m not sure how everything else is.

Decent CVS. Very close to the hotel that I was staying at for a conference making the purchase of incidentals very easy.

If this CVS weren’t so convenient and cheap it would be less stars. However I will walk out of my building where there is a store so I can shop more cheaply with more choices here. A summary of the experience here in one word — BARBARA. Jesus Christ. I always end up in her line(because of course the self check out is longer and broken as noted). She will ask if you have a CVS card until you present yours. DOYOUHAVEACVSCARD? Me: Yes. DOYOUHAVEACVSCARD? YES!!! Even after you fling it at her she keeps bab bab babbling away. The lines are always 10 sighing people deep, there are crazies ENMASS and they«lost» 75% of my pictures from Mexico, one time I witnessed a home less man steal a bag of chips near the door and then proceed to be beaten with the bag by a tiny middle eastern woman… But I keep going back…
