I came to order a food at 9:34pm and the dude who is working there told me that they are closed. Though on a door it says that they are open until 10pm every day. I was really upset because I was really hungry after the long day at work! So one star. I would never go there again, and would not recommend this place to any of my friend.

Dropped in on a random Saturday morning before watching college football for a burrito at home. I understand that it can be slow in the morning but when i came in, there looked to be only two people working and I was a bit disappointed since service was a bit slow and lacking. Can’t really blame the employees but they need some more people here working! I usually get a steak burrito but the one I had here was pretty small and sad. :( Not sure if I’ll come back to this location again but this was definitely a sad Chipotle.

I wish this place didnt exist, it ruined my whole chipotle exlerience for life. I have been doing chipotle for 6 years, about once a week. I got raw chiken, multiple peices. Almost threw up. Never again.

I have been to quite a number of Chipotle locations. I love the food here. Always fresh and always delicious. Though I can’t stop eating the food, I have to say this is the worst location ever(reasoning behind the low rating). It is right in downtown Boston so just imagine what it is like during lunch time. So many businesses in the area and everybody eating lunch around the same time is a recipe for disaster as well as the fact the place is so small is just a recipe for disaster. The line can circle all the tables, go down the small flight of stairs, and out the door. Now, the line does move but prepare to wait 15 – 25 min to get your food. Save yourself some time and go to a different location or take an off-peak lunch.

Great staff working here in the evenings. Always friendly. Always fast. Always making the meals very well. Whoever the manager or owner of this restaurant is, they should know they are getting their money’s worth with the folks working for them.

One dude on the line working as slow as possible with a line halfway out the door. Watching this guy make a burrito is like watching paint dry. And this is at the beginning of the Saturday lunch rush. Then ordering a burrito, guy puts tortilla in the heater and asks about rice, beans and meat. Look straight at him and say, «white rice, black beans, half chicken, half steak.» Between hearing that and taking the tortilla out of the warmer, dude completely forgets everything. «You said brown rice?» No, dude white rice. «What kind of beans» black… «You said chicken?» -.- no man, half chicken, half steak. Add veggies too. Then I politely ask the guy to drain my pico. Dude sits there with the spoon over the pico for almost a minute just staring off into space, remembers what he was doing and puts it on my burrito. Then after the final few details(guy put the perfect amount of hot salsa, I must say) dude can’t even roll the burrito well.

I just got a quesadilla from this place that was literally just the tortilla, meat and cheese(no other ingredient) put on aluminum foil and heated for 30 seconds. This was then thrown in a paper bag and given to me as «ready to go». Unfortunately, I did not check the bag before leaving the place, so I found myself looking for paper plates and some sauces to accompany it when in the office. With all the places to go to for lunch in the Financial District, this place just dropped off my list.

SLOWSERVICE. Service at this location has gone extremely downhill and is so slow it is almost comical. It now takes a solid 30 minutes to get through the line during the lunch rush(previously only took about 15 – 20). So when you see that the line has already extended out the door, know you’ve got some time to kill before you get your lunch — let’s hope you’re not really hungry. Oh and don’t think you’re going to bypass the line and get the online/pickup orders. There were about 6 people all waiting a long time to get their pre-ordered meals. At this location, there’s no special treatment — everyone waits! There’s no urgency with the employees(or at least the ones running the line). I also agree with the previous reviews that the toppings seem to have gotten less and less. I asked for lettuce and got about 6 tiny, lonely, pieces of shredded lettuce. I’d like to have SOME green leafies on my burrito bowl to help(mentally) offset the ridiculous amount of calories and sodium I’m about to consume. Also, this wasn’t a particularly off-day. I’ve been noticing the decline in service and the increase in wait times over my last few visits. I’m not sure why management hasn’t noticed or done anything about this. This is lunch hour in the FiDi, not 3PM on a Sunday in the ‘burbs. Make it speedy, or I’m getting my lunch from one of the other 15 places within a 3 block radius of my office. This is seriously making me reconsider going to Chipotle for lunch(at least at this location). I can easily make this meal for a few dollars at home rather than shelling out $ 10+ at Chipotle. I can also get the authentic Chipotle experience by being hungry but then waiting a full 30 minutes to eat my meal!

One dude hadda mess it all up with his«we are closing soon» nasty response to my inquiry about the empty barbacoa bowl he was picking my SCRAPS from. Dude had the stinkiest attitude. Just mad at the world because people want to eat at 9:28p & you close at 10:05p??? Really???

Please note: This review has nothing to do with the food and everything to do with the ordering service. I have eaten here before and it’s your run-of-the-mill Chipotle so you know what you’re getting food wise. I’m writing this because I placed an online order at 11:20am hoping to pickup at noon. The earliest they could prepare my single salad was 1:30pm. I called to ask if this was correct– that it would take two hours to get this together. The woman on the phone insisted they had too many orders and it wasn’t possible. I’m sorry, but you work on an assembly line. I would understand an hour… but two?!

The workers at this Chipotle seem to have an odd habit of going REALLY light on toppings. I often have to keep saying, «A little more. A little more.» It’s very frustrating. It’s like they’ve been instructed to give as little as possible. There’s a Chipotle at the Downtown Crossing stop. I may just start going to that one.

If I could eat here everyday, I would! I love getting my food fast, and having all the tabasco sauce I could possibly need.

Every Chipotle encounter is a blessing. Truly. Just like middle school dances. Lets take a walk together. We don’t have to hold hands, unless you want to. We’re getting lunch at Chipotle! Yahoo! On this magical walk there is no line for the lunch rush. Thanks, magic! Normally the line is to/out the door. The line staff are always super friendly and accommodating. Meats and veggies are super fresh. Like you just before middle school dances after mom helped you with your tie or dress and let you borrow some water that smelled crazy. We hope had the time of your life… adding salsa, sour cream, cheese, and guac(which is the cruel boutonnière you had to buy because without it your outfit was incomplete.) At the end of the dance we’re all satisfied. Probably had some soothing fire in our mouths but it was worth it. Whether McD’s owned Chipotle is environmentally conscious is for you to decide — just like whether to write back to the note passed to you just before 4th period.

Best chipotle in Boston. They actually give you a mountain of food like when chipotle first opened. And they gave me a sample of the sofritas when it first came out. Friendly and quick service

This Chipotle needs to get organized. There’s almost no point of ordering online because majority of the time the line is long and slow for the pick up. Expect to wait at least 10 – 15 minutes for your order if you are picking up during lunch.

Chipotle is so good but honestly this one location would make you really think twice about going again. They are so unbelievably stingy with the food. I’m not a pig or anything but for $ 8.25 for a bowl you could like a little more than half a scoop or rice and half a scoop or beans. The bottom of my bowl wasn’t even fully covered with food. They also move you along like they are serving you slop in prison. I felt like I was inconveniencing them. I also find the manager to be the worst culprit of this. I told her the food is getting lighter and lighter lately and she just looks at me and smirks. Then says«next». She doesn’t give a damn about the customers. I’ll be giving this location a break for a while and hope that some of these workers move on down the road. This is unfortunate because I really like their food overall.

I’m done. I fell in love with Chipotle at their Dedham Mall location, but Summer Street is awful! The last time I was there, there were a bunch of employees congregating in the back, food prep room. I heard a loud sneeze and then a lot of also loud laughing, and it really put me off my meal. Tonight I went in and waited as 3 employees behind the counter ignored me. Finally I asked for the bathroom code and debated whether or not to give it another shot on my way out. I went and stood at the counter again as the 2 employees on the other side seemed to be too busy to take my order. It was 9pm. I get the impression that service quality declines as it gets closer to closing time, but that’s still no excuse. Forget it.

This chipotle had a 30 minute wait during lunch on a Wednesday just to get to the counter. No chain Mexican food is worth that kind of wait. I will say though, that once I finally got to the counter, the employees were very efficient. I got a salad and liked the variety of choices for toppings. It was good overall, but there was nothing special about the meal to make up for the long wait.

I had a Buy One Get One coupon from who knows where, and there were two Chipotle locations within walking distance. The one on the corner of School St and Washington St is known in the Unilocaliverse as small, poorly wrapped burritos, and undercooked ingredients. So we went here instead. Head in, up the stairs, and wham, we hit the back of the line. There was a line the entire lunch hour we were there. It moved though. And you get to follow your order along the assembly line, so if you want something, you ask for it. You want a little more of one ingredient or another, just let them know. Just a smidgen of sour cream on the side? They can handle that too. Rice — brown or white, both cilantro-lime; Beans — pinto(cooked with bacon; they told me so) or vegetarian black beans; Meat — braised carnitas or barbacoa, adobo-marinated and grilled chicken or steak, or fajita vegetables; Salsa — traditional tomato or corn Yes, there are choices to be made. This site also has a kid’s menu, should you have a little one, or perhaps you are a little one(at heart?). The $ 4.68 kids taco kit looked interesting. Once filled, my bowl was pretty big($ 7.25 for the steak or carnita options, barbacoa too; $ 6.78 for chicken or vegetarian) — I ate till I was full and still had perhaps a third left over. There was something a bit spicy in there, but I’m not sure which ingredient was at fault for that. The carnitas were tender. Did you know that barbacoa is shredded beef? I didn’t, but I asked. Their grilled steak was cubed, rare in the center — perfect for my meat eater DC. I liked their chips — just thick enough to not break at the drop of a hat, but crispy and well salted. The guacamole here is fine, but there is a $ 2.11 surcharge to add it to your bowl/burrito. There are a few long tables that you can sit at in order to eat in house, and a few seats at the counter as well. Mostly take-out though. PS — As I was going back to work, a stranger spotted my bag of Chipotle leftovers and commented that they were his favorite!
