Grilled cheese and tomato soup are definitely one of my favorite comfort foods and Cheeseboy delivered! We stopped in before our meeting for a quick bite and I really enjoyed the simple grilled cheese with tomato. Quick, friendly and quite tasty too — not a bad combo!

It’s ok for a quick lunch. Visited during work week, no one in line; order seemed to be fulfilled fast. Small portion, even on their large order. Taste ok, good for quick lunch(no one in line at 12 noon !) Served in card board box(no liner in box) Hope box was clean Typical Boston costs! Save the box, reduce your cost down and wrap it in paper and place in bag!

This is solid. But I can’t say it is healthy. The service was good. Definitely would go there again!

One word comes to mind: MEH I visited this location 2 days ago, and ordered the Mac n’ Melt(little) and the Goat Cheese Greens side salad. After spending the day with a friend, walking around Boston in the blistering January cold, I was on the lookout for some yummy food to warm me up. If you are looking for one of the cheapest dinner options in the Prudential Center, get this. If you are hoping to indulge in a delicious grilled cheese, you can probably make something better at home. Just butter on some bread, slap on some instant Mac n’ Cheese and bacon, and you’ve got it.

Tried Nutella cheese dessert! Loved the idea. My sandwich was a bit on dark side. Not burnt but darker than I would have preferred. Decent grilled cheese sandwich. It’s the spot. They were out of tomato soup which was a bummer too. Got 10% off with free prudential card! Can’t really beat it. Love the 100 percent recycled boxes!

Really delicious hot sandwiches. Not too pricey. I got the harvest turkey original. I’d highly recommend it. service was fast and easy. People were friendly and professional. Will def be coming back in the future.

I have always been a fan of Cheeseboy and now that they have some delicious Mac and Cheese, it gets even better. This location sits in the Prudential Center Shops Food court and is a small location but still has great selections. I ordered the Mac and Cheese and turkey/cheese sandwich with onions and tomatoes and both were delicious. Plus the price is similar to buying a burger and fries and this just tastes healthier. Very friendly staff and the cook even brought the sandwich to my table. Great service! Highly recommend!

Went here for Lunch with my wife. This was my first Mac & Cheese sandwich with bacon. It was good. I dipped my sandwich in the tomato soup. The soup was just okay. The place seemed busy for lunch time. We had to stand for a while before we found a place to sit down.

I needed more cheese. That’s sad. It’s name is ‘cheeseboy’ and I’m asking for more cheese? It hardly held together! That being said, it wasn’t too oily and still tasted good. I don’t care if it’s not busy, I don’t want to hear conversations about your night out while you’re touching my food. I’m hearing where other body parts were, and don’t want to think about where your hands were. Also, it shouldn’t take 5 minutes when I’m the only one in line.

Maybe it’s because I’m new to it, but in my opinion Cheeseboy is pretty awesome. For $ 7.448 we got The Gobbler. Gooey muenster, with turkey, spinach, stuffing, and sweet cranberries all tucked within toasted multigrain bread. And that is how you find heaven in the Prudential Center Food Court.

We needed a quick bite while shopping in the Prudential Center. For my boyfriend and me, Cheeseboy was convenient and inexpensive. Each of our sandwiches were perfectly cooked(nice and melty) and quite tasty. Moreover, this food-court is super clean and patrolled by law-enforcement(so there are no worries for you or your family). An excellent experience!

This place cannot handle the lunch rush. Even with a digital system with which to handle orders, a full team working the sandwich line, and a manager observing the team, Cheeseboy can’t handle the heat. I first noticed something odd when, even with a long line of customers, one of the two cashiers shut down her register and moved to restocking the beverage inventory. I saw the crowd of waiting customers at the«pick up» area and figured that they went to one register to slow down the flood of orders. It wasn’t enough. My order number was in the low 40s. Everyone waited patiently for their lunch orders, but by the time they were calling out orders in the early 60s, I knew something was wrong. I guessed that I had missed the call for my order, but when I checked, it was nowhere to be found. Somewhere in the 10 feet between the register and the pick up, my order was lost. My lunch break was over by this time, so on top of being hungry and frustrated, I didn’t have time to wait for the staff to fix their error or to argue for getting a refund.

I agree with the general tone of the other reviews, the concept is cool but the food is «Meh». Also the wait is looooong for a grilled cheese, and the price is about $ 4 too hight(I bought a simple sandwich and small soup for $ 8). I recommend you keep looking if you want good grilled cheese.

Buttering the bread does make it rich… but it does NOT make it a good cheese sandwich. NOTE: I went there last year, and never again, so, hopefully, they’ve expanded their menu. STAFF: Smiling, inviting with the promise of cheesy goodness and the happiness only true «comfort food,» like a grilled cheese, can bring. Even the boxes popped with enthusiasm, but… FOOD: The sandwich itself was disappointing. They offered only a few, generic types of bread, filled with a few, of the most bland types of cheese. Very few options and no frills at all… huh? I could make a boring cheese sandwich at home! THEDEAL: Boston Chowda, in the same Food Court, offers a better cheese sandwich in a cheap meal deal.

(score 1 – 100) — 45. It’s buttery but not cheesy. Yep. every combination of a grilled cheese sandwich is served here. It is mostly a bread butter taste than the cheese.yes. you;re going to make me say it… MOCHEESE… MOCHEESE… MOCHEESE! Although the cheese had no flavor and it just is too bland in combination with the bread. The service and the guys who work here are 5 stars all the way. Cool boxes and presentation! TIP: Just across the Food Court is Boston Chowda and amazingly they have a better cheese sandy!

I have been searching for the perfect grilled cheese sandwhich… and I am still searching. Hey, I would settle for a decent grilled cheese sandwhich. This place like so many others in that it does not put enough cheese on the sandwhich. That’s alright for most places, but if you are only going to serve grilled cheese sandwhiches, you better do it right. For a meal here, you will spend 6 to 7 dollars. The mac and cheese was substandard, and the cheese on the sandwhich was only slightly better. I got the Tomato Basil Classic and it totally lacked flavor. At least they didn’t burn my sandwhich. Does the Prudential Food Court really need a place like this? I know that it is only a food court, but the Pru can do better than Cheeseboy. Shouldn’t a business like this be a food truck instead? If I was you, I would pass.

This cheeseboy was a BIT better than the South Station one. The sandwich(classic italian and american) was a tad bland and a little plasticy, at least it was cooked perfectly golden(not brown and overdone like south station.) I still could easily make any sandwich here from stuff I could get at 7 – 11. The cheddar-brocolli soup was very mild, but not unpleasant. I also had a «come back and get a free classic with a soda» deal, which they conveniently forgot until i reminded them, then instead of just the upcharge for the soda and soup($ 3), i paid more like $ 3.79 — the individual prices of each item… seems a little shady to me.

It’s grilled cheese and it’s good. But like other reviewers have mentioned, it’s no better than you would make at home. If I’m going to spend $ 7 on a grilled cheese lunch, then I am definitely hunting down the Roxy’s Grilled Cheese truck. But if you are in the Pru, and your options are limited, I highly recommend this fast, comforting meal.

Would I pay $ 4 for a grilled cheese sandwich? No. If the grilled cheese sandwich is free, will I wait in line for one? Yes. And that’s exactly what I did on Cheeseboy’s second annual free grilled cheese day. The classic grilled cheese sandwich — white American cheese melted between 2 slices of browned Italian bread — was delicious! Yeah I don’t have a panini press, but I’ll settle with making my own gc on a skillet. 4 stars because it was good and free.

Just went here today after a long wait! It was totally worth it! The grilled cheese can be made to order with different meats and veggie toppings. They also serve soup and mac n cheese. All I can say is this place is awesome if you want a grilled cheese but don’t have a way to make one at work. DOOOITTTTT.
