I needed cold cuts to make lunch for the week and didn’t have the energy to trek through Stop and Shop. I stopped in here and for under $ 10 and 5 minutes I had what I needed for lunch for the week. The owner offered me a free cookie while i waited, which was a welcoming touch.
The deli was clean and had a great selection of meats at reasonable prices. They also had a selection of Italian groceries (pasta, olive oil, etc.) that you could put together a great dinner in a pinch. Will be back next time I need a few things to get me through the work week!

Was looking for a good cheap eat before my flight back. Found this in walking distance from hotel and the reviews were great among the other choices for an italian deli. Being from new England and having had known many good places to eat I tried it based on reviews and was a little disappointed in the sandwich… Mostly about the very thin cuts of meat and cheese. Pretty much Subway style. Had the italian sub with the onions peppers mix which was the bulk of the sub really. Bread was OK, place was clean and service was good too. But was really there for a the sub. Was a bit hungry after having a half sub

Great sandwich. Have had the Italian and the prosciutto and provolone. Both have been outstanding sandwiches. Cold cuts are freshly sliced for each sub, pickles and onions are chopped. This is one of those places where you go in and the shop itself is somewhat sparse but they do one thing extremely well. Go here, get the Italian and a crème soda and enjoy. Must try.

I had the Italian sandwich. It was good. Also the servers were really friendly. Only thing that is keeping me from giving it 5 stars was the smell in there. Wasn’t pleasant but I guess it’s probably because of all the meats they have.

I’ve been eating «Italian made» sandwiches my entire life and I am super picky about where I order from. This place came highly recommended to me but I was still skeptical. I recently moved into the neighborhood and had a craving for a prosciutto, buffalo mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich so I figured why not. My husband ordered a prosciutto and provolone sandwich. They were both amazing and we’ve been ordering from there ever since! Their Italian sub is really good as well (no American cold cuts like some other «Italian shops»). I would absolutely recommend them to anyone that will listen!

Good local deli near BOS airport (although the drive there is a little squirrely due to the one-​way). Had hand sliced turkey and provolone sandwich on a baguette — good stuff. Way better than stopping at a Subway for lunch!

This is not a sit down and eat deli! Other reviews did not make that clear and that’s the reason for 4 stars rather than 5. The meats and cheese were amazingly fresh. Owner made everything for us and he was very nice. Sides were homemade and very good as well. He then directed us to a park 2 blocks down where we ate on a picnic table overlooking Boston which was amazing :)

The last great Italian-​American sandwich joint in Eastie. Mostly cold sandwiches, cold cuts and Italian groceries. Tucked away in the Jeffries Point neighborhood, it’s a 5 – 10 min walk from the Maverick T stop.
The new ownership has done a great job picking up where Gerry left off. They treat their customers right and don’t stray from what they do best.

Best sandwiches around! Excellent quality everything & the owner could not be nicer or more helpful. If you don’t know Carmella’s, you have to check it out! Prices are great, too. I love this place!

Just to echo the other reviewers, Fantastic Subs. A great neighborhood store & deli. They always seem to have a daily specialty item up at the checkout counter as well. Today when we stopped in it happened to be pizza & the sauce was delicious. I highly recommend stopping in.

I have to say one of the most delicious subs I have ever had. The bread is fresh and also teh cold cuts are cut in front of you while making the sub… The place has all your old Italian Specialities and must say the cheeses are cut to order for you.
