I try not to go here, this place is simply too expensive :(But I guess that’s to be expected, since they are located in the middle of the BU campus. If I do have to find something to eat, I know I can find a bunch of healthy options here: Sabra hummus, baby carrots, fruit, etc. Also, they are now stocking a whole range of vegetarian/vegan macrobiotic dumplings and noodle salads… those are tasty, but will set you back $ 6+. Bottom line: I will come back, but only if I can’t avoid it.

Things are definitely overpriced… but you cant beat the selection. Lots of juices– a surprisings selection of food, coffee galore… even a salad bar. Its like a 7 – 11 on steroids, and somehow everything is fresh and free of dust! Great late hours too.

I’m a bit biased because when I was at BU I lived right near this particular Campus Convenience for three years, so I’ve been in there at 10 pm(or 12 pm or 2 am) countless times buying snacks to fuel my late-night studying(or as an excues to procrastinate my late-night studying for just another 20 minutes.) As the biggest(and my favorite) of the Campus Conveniences in the area, it has a huge selection of convenience items for sale. It’s basically divided in half. One side of the store is completely stocked with treats: ice cream, cookies, candy, Peppridge Farm, chips, drinks, and microwaveables. They also have a full selection of magazines, and are usually stocked for what students need at any given time of the year(hangers during move in, medium-sized boxes and packing tape during move-out.) The other half of the store has everything else you might need: tissues, toilet paper, light hardware and sewing supplies, toiletries, stationary/school supplies. They also have hot drinks and food(although BU students should note that the coffee and hot chocolate is EXACTLYTHESAME as the kind they serve for free in the dining hall.) Campco is definitely overpriced compared to Shaw’s or CVS, and I wouldn’t recommend using it on a regular basis or to buy all of your things, but it’s got a better selection, better atmosphere, and is astronomically cleaner than most other convenience stores. It’s great for emergencies and munchie runs, and students who absolutely must buy everything using Convenience Points. I do recommend Campus Convenience for things like cable wires and ethernet cords– they’re so much cheaper than Best Buy or Radio Shack that I now check Campco and B&N at BU out every time I need a new cable. They do change their hours during the summer as does everything around college campuses, so don’t rely on them to be open after dinner between mid-May and Labor Day weekend.

Wow, some of the stuff at this place is SERIOUSLY overpriced. However, I suppose you are paying for convenience, but really, just walk half a block down the street to CVS and save yourself some cash. I would not recommend buying most of the stuff in this place because there is an insane mark-up. Don’t bother with the stationary, pens and pencils and other school supplies. Also, do not buy your deodorant, laundry detergent or other common household products here. Like the previous reviewer mentioned, they are just taking advantage of the BU students living in the Warren Towers dorm at 700 Comm Ave who can buy this stuff using«convenience points» paid for by mommy and daddy. Please, just go to CVS. However, this is a reasonably decent place to get a cup of coffee, a soda or other things that are more reasonably priced and are truly convenience store items. I normally stop in here for a coffee(not the greatest, but cheap) and Diet Dr. Pepper. They do have a crazy selection of sodas and juices, so if you, like me enjoy the harder to find sodas like Diet Dr. Pepper, Diet Schweppes Ginger Ale and Diet A&W root beer, you will find them all here. Also reasonable prices on snacks like chips and candy bars. Some advice to my BU people, if you want to save cash, treat this place like a convenience store not a grocery store and stop wasting your parents cash on small little bottles of $ 8 conditioner.

When a single Gala apple, probably trucked in from no less than 100 miles away, costs $ 1.25 it doesn’t take a genius to work out why BU students are rumoured to add 15 pounds in their first semester. It’s because people like Campus Conv are busy ripping them off left and right on anything that is perishable and therefore also healthy. ~~ Spare a moment to weep for our future ~~ Beyond that, this is the store you dream of if you are looking for Vitamin water, Snapples and various Coke Zeros. They have them in monumental numbers. Two stars for two things. 1. Fresh coffee 2. The friday Clam Chowder… rumoured to be one of the best in the city(yes, you did just read that secret).
