This location has the sweetest and most patient employees anyone will ever meet. I went in for an espresso drink only ten minutes before they closed and they still made it perfectly and with patience. So wonderful.

I was really excited about this place the first time I came in. Beautiful atmosphere with lots of room for studying and an excellent selection of coffees and nibbles– even gelato. However, the handful of times I have been here have been disappointing. The regular coffee is not horrible, but nothing to rave about. The worst is the service. Every time I am here, I feel that the cashier is abrupt verging on rude. You ask a question about the menu items and get the impression you are inconveniencing the staff. I also got a hot coffee after ordering an iced coffee– they were not very apologetic about it– again– it seemed like a huge inconvenience to fix my order. The gelato is decent and the atmosphere is good, but there are definitely better places to go for better customer service!

One of the better Caffebenes(it is a chain, after all). SO much seating and has a very nice, bright & happy ambiance! Love coming here to get some work done, as they do have FREEWIFI. I have never been particularly impressed by Caffebene’s coffee drinks, so I always get their fruity items instead, like the slushies and fruit/ice/yogurt bowls they have(definitely would have to share with a friend though… lol). They also have bathrooms, which is always nice(and they’re clean). I would recommend this to someone who wants a great place to work — doesn’t get too crowded on the weekdays, just kind of on Friday afternoons/weekends.

The whipped cream and strawberry waffle is really good. The yogurt one in my opinion was very bitter. Wasn’t my favorite thing but there are also many other waffles that are amazing It can be a bit pricy for the drinks. My friend got a drink there which was around 6 bucks I believe. Most was ice and it basically tasted like Sprite.

Super cute place with a lot so tables and open space to sit in. They have a lot of different options to choose from. I had the strawberry honey bread and a green tea latte. Both were delicious. I would definitely recommend sharing the honey bread as the portion size is pretty large. The green tea latte tasted great and was very refreshing but I think it is a little expensive for what it is. Definitely would come for the honey bread though.

I ordered an Asian Shrimp Sandwich and a latte. The latte was underwhelming; it either needed more or stronger espresso. I have to imagine their flavored coffee drinks are more akin to flavored hot milk(I won’t be trying any). The shrimp sandwich was decent. They weren’t the biggest or juiciest shrimp but I’ve had worse. The flavors came together to vaguely resemble a phở-type dish, but in a sandwich. I thought it was a bit small as well. Maybe the parfaits are the thing to get here; certainly not the coffee or sandwiches.

Food — amazing. Drinks — amazing. Customer service — amazing. Space — cute, a bit cramped. Location — easy to get to by T, hard to find parking if you’re driving. The pat bingsoo’s here are the best in the Boston area. Definitely much better than paris baguette that is attached to hmart in cambridge. My friend and I got the mango yogurt bingsoo to share and it was totally worth it — its soft, fluffy, met in your mouth, not to sweet, fresh mango chunks, and ice heaven! I am definitely coming back soon to try another one. The misugaru drink was okay. The mojitos are definitely worth trying — it is very refreshing and delicious. The coffee is also very sophisticated and well made. There are also other mini bakery options like bread, cake slices, and sandwiches. Reminds of a fancier panera. I’m coming back for bingsoo asap. You must try it.

Came here with a friend for dessert after what I though was a filling meal. That is, until I saw the size of the mango bingsoo. New to the Korean shaved ice game, I wasn’t sure if I was getting myself in over my head(the bingsoo was literally the size of my head), by the idea of eating mango shaved ice in the dead of winter won me over. DELICIOUS. Definitely should share. We shared between two, but there was a table sharing one bingsoo between six or so people. Beautiful presentation, just make sure to mix up the different layers if you order this! So so good, I’ll need to try more flavors! Also saw plenty of tables full of people studying on here on a Friday night. Gotta come back for the wifi + honey bread combo!

I’ve continued my chase of cute cafes all the way to the Hub and Caffébene definitely meets the criteria I’ve set for kawaii caffeine. It’s a pretty large spot full of tables and outlets with pretty solid wifi connection so it’s become one of my regular spots to get work done. The ambiance is quiet but never stale, with faux plants lining the side walls and shelves filled with books and other trinkets, which evoke a hipster, urban charm. Like everyone else, I was in awe of the massive mango bingsu(Korean shaved ice). And while it’s perfect to share with friends during hot summer days, the chilled creamy dessert isn’t a bad choice in the wintertime either. I’ve also had their other signature item, the misugaru latte. The barista described it as a «healthy oatmeal Korean drink,» which was not exactly the best or most appetizing pitch, but I figured I’d give it a shot. What came out was not what was described at all. I was expecting grainy and earthy flavors, and maybe some grit from whatever oatmeal I was told about, but instead the drink was nutty and milky smooth with hints of sesame. Needless to say, I have now converted to the misugaru. Other menu highlights include the honey bread and the green tea latte, but the real standouts and items worth visiting for are definitely the bingsu and the misugaru — and don’t let the description fool you!

This place is a little bit pricey for its offerings. However, the waffles are good, and the pastries are average. I love that they have smoothies. If you’re dairy-free, be careful. I’ve had to correct and get my latte remade twice here. The best thing about this café is that it’s got a wonderful place for studying, if you’re a student or work from home. It would also be a nice place to catch up with a few friends. I’d say that the best part of this place is the atmosphere.

They have the cutest décor and make the desserts look so good… However looks can be deceiving. The waffles are not fresh, kindof hard and would not recommend. They do have good sweet toast desserts(i think the one i had was caramel). Overall I dont think this would be my go to place when craving coffee or dessert

Had the green tea tower shaved ice. Seriously huge — must share! Nice and light. As someone not too fond of overly sweet desserts, I found it just right. The ice cream and red bean topping give it a nice touch of sweetness. Lots of students here, great place to relax, chat or study.

Stopped by a few times for a cup of cappuccinowhen attending BSO concerts. Location is excellent next to the Symphony hall. Like its cute earthy setting, a bit crowded though given its prime location. Desserts are quite interesting sometimes with Asian fusion. Tried Mocha cake roll with red bean. It was light and fluffy with freshness of Mocha flavor, not overly sweet, very good.

Super cute café conveniently located next to Symphony Hall. Nice space to sit and study for a couple of hours, and is usually filled with college students either working or hanging out. They serve a variety of cute Asian-style desserts. I usually get their bingsoo(Korean shaved ice), which comes in a huge bowl and consists of shaved ice with flavoring, whipped cream, and goodies like red bean or coffee beans depending on what type you order. I like their red bean flavor the best. Its a little expensive considering that you are paying $ 12 for essentially flavored shaved ice, but the overall ambiance of the café, nice study space, and aesthetic appeal of the desserts makes it worth it.

I really enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere and the delicious pastries and coffee :) You should try the tiramisu cake and the waffle with gelato. It was an amazing! And the coffee was so smooth and velvety, I couldn’t stop drinking it :)

Oh my god this place has some of the best desserts. I love the honey bread with the different toppings like strawberry/banana. The first time I went I got the shaved ice with the cheesecake on top and then a taro drink with my friend. So as I was carrying the tray with the goodies I guess the gravity shifted and they ended up sliding right off the tray and onto this innocent student(some of it at least, most of it was on the floor) that was just chilling with her friend. Luckily for me we actually got another one free of charge. It was one of the most embarrassing moment in my life. You have no idea! It’s clean, the environment is very tranquil, and a good study place is available. It’s also located very conveniently outside of symphony station, a very small walk since winter is here as we speak

Pros: –Their waffle + gelato combination is delicious! If you only get one thing here, get this. –Most of their bingsu desserts are pretty good –It’s a nice place to sit and chat or study with friends –It’s also a nice place to go after BSO concert Cons: –They offer some sort of cheesecake in a pan, so I was expecting… a cheesecake. However, that wasn’t what I got. It ended up being a very sweet, sort of dry cake-ish thing. –I would not recommend their New York Cheesecake bingsu(if they still offer that). I ordered it, admittedly, for the slice of cheesecake at the top(that was yummy). But there is something weird to me about eating layers of ice and Ritz crackers… maybe Nilla wafers would be better than crackers? –This place is incredibly popular for students to study, so seating during the day is spotty.

Expensive but awesome café. Got a taro bubble tea which was $ 5.30. It was probably the BEST bubble tea I’ve ever had. Even better than the ones I’ve had in Chinatown. I loved the décor and overall feel of the café. Super chill, very contemporary and practically made for college students to hang out in. Even though I only got one thing here I’m so excited to come back. This might be my new favorite café in Boston. Korean cafes ftw.

Cute café with yummy desserts, espresso bar and freshly made sandwiches. Desserts are giant, enough to split 2 – 3 ways. Enjoyed the coffee bing soo(shaved ice) which has tasty toppings, especially the cocoa rice crispies added great texture and flavor. Had the spicy chicken sandwich with spinach, sprouts, mozz, which while good quality, didn’t care for the white bread as much. Friendly, courteous service, conveniently located directly across from Symphony Hall. Ample seating, good for groups or a laidback coffee date, not too loud.

Very good food — the sweets are sweet, and the savory is savory. Also, excellent hot drinks: the Americano woke me up in a delicious and smooth way. Also, plus points for the interior: comfy and chill, but solid enough to get work done. Perhaps most importantly, the quality of the wifi is very high. No dropped connections and the interwebs load lightning fast: that’s how I’m Unilocaling right now! Great place to stop in for a light lunch, indulgent dessert, or quick pick me up. Prices aren’t rock bottom, but they’re more than fair for the area and pretty much worth it.

After coffee hunting all day I stumbledupon this shop on my way back… Caffébene is a coffee chain from korea. My only regret is having not discovered it earlier. They have a modern space to study with reliable wifi and adequate outlets. I had black coffee and it was brewed perfectly. They are famous for the shaved ice dessert and of course I recommend having the coffee ice parfait. There is also a breakfast special where they give you a small coffee with any pastry item. Caffé Bene is the place to go! Especially when it’s hot! Their strawberry bingsu would probably be the best bingsu that they have since it’s a mix of strawberry and red bean. You could even share it up to three people. The honey breads there are all really good too. Such a cute dessert/café/study place to go with your friends. + they offer free wifi!!!

It’s cozy in here; perfect spot for catching up with friends or studying. The drinks and treats are unique. We tried the coffee bingsu and was surprised by it’s monstrous size, definitely best for sharing. Pretty presentation; we had to Instagram it right away! The ice cream, beans and nuts were delicious but was a bit bland towards the bottom. I would visit again to try the other bingsu, especially the fruity ones!

Whenever I come here, I always order their bingsoo(shaved ice with ice cream and other toppings) and it never disappoints. They give you a lot so you can share it amongst your friends if you want as well. I loved their mango bingsoo as well as their green tea ice cream bingsoo. I usually order something on the side such as their honey bread or other pastries because it usually complements the bingsoo so well. If you are in the area and you are looking for a cool place to just chill, eat, and enjoy some delicious desserts, then no look further than this place!

Food: Caramel cinnamon honey bread. Mango bingsu. Red bean bingsu. So yummy. Definitely come here with a group, the desserts are huge. Would recommend getting a bread and a bingsu! I love the cinnamon honey bread. Perfectly sweet and soft. The mango bingsu is so good!!! There’s a layer of yogurt in the middle and some ice cream on top. I’m not the biggest fan of red bean in my shaved ice, but this was pretty good. Definitely would come back. This place is very clean and seems like a good place to study. Good location down near Newbury street and Northeastern.

Very cute spot! Came in here during winter break. I wouldn’t surprised if this was packed with students on laptops during the semester. The ambience inside was great. Although it was January 8th and they were still playing Christmas music. There’s a large range of seating options and the décor inside is quite homey. My friend and I got the green tea latte and misugaru latte. Both were pretty delicious.(Misugaru was a cereal-tasting hot beverage, apparently good for your health but I wouldn’t be surprised if they added a lot of sugar to this)

Caffe bene has asian inspired drinks and desserts. Generally speaking the drinks were better than the food items. Best drinks: matcha latte, misugaru latte. These were warm, creamy and flavors on point for both matcha and misugaru! Best food: the shaved iced desserts are all really good. These were fairly close to authentic and definitely unique the the symphony/Fenway/backbay area. The Chico more s’more is also a sweet treat. Honey bread items were more of an interesting experience rather than a delicious experience. It really is just a think piece of bread with some fruit on top, which you could make at home. Baked goods: don’t really taste fresh or special. Even the Panera items across the street are better quality. Less good items: The coffee will come with cream and was too sweet. I do love the café environment itself though. This location has great floor to ceiling glass windows to look out at boston. There’s free wifi and plenty of work space to study or enjoy people’s company.
