A cute bar with great live music! My friend and I started out at the Wild Rover and hated it– we needed something more low key, and stumbled upon Buskers. Fun dancing and good drinks!

Staff was ok. Vibe was cool in a dive bar kind of way. Eat there only if your name is Fido, Fluffy or Rex… And even then, for Gods sake, not the nachos!

I’m giving this 4 stars bc this place has an air of propriety in the Celtics-fan-bar district. It has the kind of character you can’t find in the immediate vicinity and offers a business class atmosphere at happy hour/before game time. Timing: A girlfriend and I went for drinks and a bite at 6pm on a Wednesday. This also happen to be a Celtics game day. It was slammed when we first walked in and grew to be almost empty by 8pm. The noise level was fine. We talked and I can’t remember if there was even music playing. Atmosphere: The space is small and clean yet rustic. There are no booths but there are tables you can sit at for 2 and up to 6. There TVs with the game one and even a little loft for a larger group and a personal TV. The bar is a pretty comfortable seat as well. Food: We got buffalo tenders that were fine but a bit sweet and not that spicy. The Turkey burger was decent but the sweet potato fries were amazing! The tuna special was perfectly cooked(rare) and the veggies had a kick to them. Overall, we were happy with the food. Cons: I’d say the downside is that almost all the food falls perfectly in the $ 10-$ 15 range without much variation, even in appetizers. And the bartender was not knowledgeable about his beer on tap. Late night: I will say I have been here near midnight on a Saturday night and there is a jock dance jam. If you want a club atmosphere without a cover, go here late on a Saturday night.

Terrible. What do you want to know? the environment — for the 60 minutes I spent there, I was besieged by the sounds of dance music and Jock Jams. Now I like Gary Glitter and Whoomp!(There it Is) as much as the next guy, but not in a 25% full bar an hour before a Friday night celtics game. The burger — borderline gross, which is concerning for a place that calls itself a «burger bar.» The fries — I mean really? How do you mess up fries? They were cold and flacid like Rafael Palmeiro’s dong on a ski trip. We almost walked out even before ordering when I asked the waitress«What’s good here?» Her response —(after 5 seconds of thinking) «um… I like the burgers» with about as much confidence as one would have who is about to recommend gross burgers to two hungry guys. one other thing — this«burger bar» doesn’t offer the burger selection on «event nights,» which basically would mean any night that there’s something going on at the Garden, which would be the only reason to walk into this dump in the first place. she asked the kitchen if they could allow us to order from the burger bar and they allowed it. lucky us. avoid this place at all costs. unless you’re really, really into Jock Jams.

We dropped by this place to check out their«gourmet» burgers. We were expecting to be blown away, since it calls itself a BURGERBAR. The burger was AWEFUL. The meat was of the lowest grade… of the type that no one should be subjected to eating. The meat had so much filling that it became quite rubbery. This place should be closed down. It’s an embarrassment. How can a place call itself a «gourmet burger lounge» and serve such disgusting burgers.

Food was awful. Had potato skins and nachos… How do you ruin potato skins and nacho’s???

I would say Busker’s Lounge certainly caters to Boston’s B&T crowd(which is tacky to say, I know, but it’s the best way to describe the vibe), and perhaps not the place for dinner(I’m not sure if anyone actually goes for dinner).. . still, the bar food was decent(although they were out of a lot of menu items). If anything, it could be a place to go before games, if you wanted to mix it up. Although the décor is a little cheesy — It’s connected to the Grand Canal next door, where the party starts a bit earlier. ..

It could have been because of all the fist pumping action in the ‘lounge’, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time here. Granted the main reason were the people I was with, but the interesting(read trashy) crowd and the platform to view them all from made the evening much more fun. Oh and the music was fairly decent as well. I wouldn’t touch the food here, and neither would I call this place a lounge. It is a bar with loud dance music — and a fun one at that. Go with people you love being with and you’re guaranteed a good time. Then again, that’s with any place. Hence, the average rating.

Love this place I live over in Charlestown, and everytime I go in I always have incredible service and the food is always great. I would seriously recommend this place to anyone who just wants to stop somewhere to have a good bite to eat before or after the game at the Garden. GO Celtics/Bruins!

The newly opened Busker’s Lounge is likely owned by the same people that operate The Grand Canal. It’s painted black inside, has a cool-looking bar, and mostly amiable waitresses. I’ve been there twice, as I live nearby. Last night, the food was pretty eh, as was the service. The lobster roll up had lots of filler, as in mostly lettuce, scallions, whatever. My boyfriend ordered the filet mignon and asked to have it butterflied, because he likes his steak well done. It came back un-butterflied, as the waitress explained that since it was a smaller cut, the chef didn’t think it needed it to be cooked brown all the way through. Wrong. It had to be sent back, of course. This happens when the request is denied. So, he was starving for another 20 minutes and ate the fries off my plate. We didn’t really get an apology or anything, and that just kinda sucks. Also, the music, which is crap hip hop after a certain time, I think is too loud, and was audibly cranked up to be WAY too loud. Someone cleared some tables from the middle of the lounge, but really guys, no one wants to dance in your space. We may be back since we live close by, just not for steak.
