Placed an order. Over an hour later got a call saying«Sorry, we’re closed,. You won’t be getting your order.» First and last time I’ll call this place.

I went to Buskers Burger Bar for a social outing one evening. Sadly, there were no namesake burgers in sight, rather a spread of appetizers were set out on a table for us, and a cash bar available for our group. Getting to Buskers was a bit confusing, as a sign directed me to enter through the neighboring Grand Canal. Our snacks was a rather large platter of salad and a few fried foods that we found difficult to identify. One had corn in it and was a savory sweet thing which I enjoyed. The one we guessed to be jalapeño poppers weren’t actually spicy, so I was convinced to try one, heat wimp that I am. Mozzarella sticks was the last, and that was fine as well. They likely would have been better hot, but they were only warm when I got around to them.

Great burger!!! The most delicious and ridiculous burger options in town, and I must say all very delicious. The portions for the burgers are uncanny to any other joint in town, or at least all of the places that i have had the pleasure to try. Overall, definitely worth a try… at least once while in Boston. Did I mention that the price is also very reasonable? Cheers!

Burgers here are just not good. Meat is dry and the toppings are bland. The mozzarella sticks aren’t cooked well and the breading is not crispy. The clam chowder tastes out of a can and is also not fresh. 2 out of 5 on a good day.

Our plan was to grab a few drinks at The Grand Canal before a Friday night Celtics Game. The place was jammed packed, so they ushered us through to Buskers. Turned out the bar was more comfortable, and has huge plate glass windows looking out into the street, so you can take in some local street action. Didn’t have a burger so can’t comment there… but we did have artichoke dip and it was tasty. Best of all the bartenders were efficient, friendly and made you feel welcome. Really liked the place and plan to go back.

lets just say this wouldn’t be the first… or 5th place I’d want to go in the area by choice. I had a deal and figured would be good for a celtics game/concert when I’m in the area. This past week I went to a concert and decided to use it. Its one of those places that isnt bad– but nothing special either. They don’t have a drink menu… and when you ask if they have wine they say yes. «red or white» «pinot grigio or chardonnay» …needless say, skip on that. I got a turkey burger– it was good with a side salad. Typical bar-like meal. I like the grand canal bar, but don’t know if I’d come back for food by choice.

This is where the Iowa Alumni get together to watch football games this season on Saturdays. They have a selection of decent beers/ciders, and $ 3 Miller Lites(hello college) and some appetizer specials during the game. They let us play the Iowa Fight Song(if we ever score a touchdown!) and put up a bit of Iowa flair. Come hang out in black and gold on gameday — It’s a great time! I’ve only been here for Iowa games and the food is okay and the service is nothing to write home about, but they let us hang out for a few hours and it’s hard to tell who actually wants food and who just wants to lament our defense in their Miller Lite. I wouldn’t go out of my way to get a burger or fries here(If you want delectable burgers go to Boston Burger Company). They seem to not know what they ‘are’. They don’t seem to be a sportsbar, and could use bigger TVs as they’re high up. They’re not an Irish pub and they’re not a trendy club, it’s completely painted black inside with and traditional looking bar. They’re not(yet) a niche burger place as their burgers and fries need a bit of stepping up — I don’t think they’re bad, but not the ‘best’. I’d say they’re all around average with the main draw being the Iowa crew on Saturdays :) The dining room/table setup needs some work — They should switch to all high-top tables rather than have some that are seated. It would make the place feel bigger and allows people to stand at the tables if there’s not enough seats.

We dropped by this place to check out their«gourmet» burgers. We were expecting to be blown away, since it calls itself a BURGERBAR. The burger was AWEFUL. The meat was of the lowest grade… of the type that no one should be subjected to eating. The meat had so much filling that it became quite rubbery. This place should be closed down. It’s an embarrassment. How can a place call itself a «gourmet burger lounge» and serve such disgusting burgers.
