The guys behind the counter are always so friendly ! They never make it uncomfortable or mess up any of our orders and they were welcoming to us for being new in the neighborhood

I love this place! Yes, it’s a little rough around the edges but the sandwiches are fantastic and the person who works there is always very friendly to us. He’s always got his hands full with the locals who stop in for a cheap meal, a place to watch the game or a cup of coffee and yet he seems to handle it all very well.

I just started working in the area, and I needed a quick bite to eat for lunch. They had a good drink selection, various convenience store snack items, plus a small deli. I got the veggie and hummus wrap, which was pretty good, and around $ 5. Service was really friendly, and there are a few places to sit and eat if you don’t have to scurry right back to the office like I did. This will probably be my go to place to grab something quick on busy days.

Great sandwiches, cheap prices! We live right around the corner and are lucky to have such a great place so close. The sandwiches and such are fantastic and pretty unique. It is still a convenience store but doesn’t have much there other than a couple of necessities. The clientele has«personality» considering that there is a halfway house training facility across the street. The owners are really nice and know how to manage certain clientele diplomatically.

I really like this little deli and convenience store. It’s well stocked with quality products for a shop its size, close to the businesses and residences in the SOWA neighborhood, and the sandwiches on its creative menu are quite tasty. I just finished the French Quarter(Boar’s Head Cajun turkey, pepperjack, horseradish & veggies), and it was delish! They also have breakfast, served all day. But what’s even better than the food is the super friendly service. My first time in the shop, one of the employees noticed me looking around for a menu. He was on his lunch break but he put his sandwich down, jumped up, and found me a menu behind the counter before I could even ask. My second trip into the shop, I already felt like a regular. If I’m not already, I’m sure I will be soon.

This place closed. Although, I am quite happy it’s stayed a convenience store and deli. When I was growing up in the South End we broke up our shopping between the Syrian Trading Co, Tony the green grocer, the local bodegas(mostly Morales), and Bostonian Market. The Bostonian market wasn’t anything spectacular, it was just a locally-owned convenience store that had a better selection of boring white people foods. But before the South End had Foodies and all these food boutiques, Bostonian Market filled an important niche providing products you couldn’t find anywhere else back when the South End wasn’t quite what it is today. I’ll miss you old girl. Four stars for nostalgia.

It’s a little corner store, cramped, with a good deli in the back. Sandwiches are good, prices are decent. Nuff said.

Bostonian Market has steadily nourished me for some time now(I work in the neighborhood). The sandwiches are yummy and reasonably priced, and the guy who owns it is really nice and we’re BFF even though we don’t know each other’s names. I should also note that this institution has helped me discover crazy NBC game shows I would otherwise not know existed, because that’s inevitably what’s on the TV.

the bostonian market has the best sandwiches ever! it’s pretty much a corner store with overpriced items but the deli area is good!
