Okay, now that my anger has a bit dissipated, I should update this by saying that as always, Team Boloco, does listen to your complaints and they refunded me and gave me a couple extra $$ so I would give them another chance. It’s good to know that some businesses do care if you come back unlike *cough* dudley café *cough*

Great little burrito place, at the corner of Boylston & Charles. I had the carnitas… Thai style. Nicely done. I’ll stop in here again. The line moved quickly, and the staff was friendly.

I have always been a big fan of boloco love there food. For the past few weeks I have been going to this location because of its close proximity to my new job and have to say this location is my favorite. The staff is great, quick and attentive my guess is it’s because of the manager Daniel who is hands on, very friendly, quick to greet the customers and has great energy. He and all of his staff make for a great experience and the reason this location is my favorite one.

I go here fairly regularly from work, and find it to be consistent and yummy! Easy to order online, the manager is really friendly and welcoming. Plus, burritos always hit the spot.

For work I travel all over New England everyday and Boloco is one of my favorites especially this location. Fabulous burritos made to order the way you want them and extremely filling. Staff is awesome and I never regret stopping there.

The best Boloco in Boston. The staff is a Joy. Fresh food and healthy smoothies(unless you get the Jimmy Carter shake).

10 days, 2 visits, 2 orders unfulfilled. I like the food, your staff is nice, but with 8 people working to serve 3 customers, obviously there are going to be mistakes. I was even bold enough to order guac this time(extra $$$) and didn’t receive it. kinda frustrating. needless to say, I will have to try my luck at a different location.

Boston Local Company or Boloco is a Boston based burrito and wrap restaurant with a wide variety of toppings and sauces. The service is speedy and the faculty is quite clean. I ordered the goloco which allows you to mix and match all of your favorite ingredients to create a massive burrito or burrito bowl. At $ 8.99 for their largest bowl, the price seems a little steep; however, the amount of food received could be portioned for two sittings. In addition to the burrito bowl, tried the jimmy carter shake with nutella. No extra charge for the nutella and the person making the shake gave us a free mini one! Thanks Boloco! Overall, I am pretty satisfied with the service, the cleanliness, and the food here. Although the prices are a bit more than I’d prefer for a fast food restaurant, I’d probably be back in the near future.

I like to compare all Mexican places to Chipotle because I still find that it’s my favorite despite being to so many other places with burritos. I got their classic Mexican option as a bowl. Overall, I was pretty satisfied as it had a very clean and refreshing taste with the standard burrito components. The rice was too dry though and the portion was not as much as I wanted it to be. I liked the fact that there were many different options so hopefully I’ll be able to come back again sometime to try them because they seemed rather tasty too.

Came here for a milkshake and was so dissatisfied with both the service and quality of food. The employees were rude, service was slow, and my milkshake did not include the primary ingredient… Frozen yogurt… I would have complained but I felt as though the employees would not make me a new one. I will definitely take my business elsewhere.

Everything fresh. More choices than Chipotle. Bright and friendly staff. Met the manager — great and engaging. All told, really a great experience.

Pleasant, simple location; great for people-watching. Fusion burrito options look particularly interesting. The teriyaki burrito that I had was very flavourful, and I will be back to sample the other fusion and regular burritos.

Fun place to eat with good variety, both in sizes and flavors. Similar to other burrito places, but has a unique flavor. Worth a try for sure. A little slow in line but friendly employees.

Boloco is a solid place and worth a try. It is kind of like a chipotle with more variety, but I prefer chipotle’s food. I was very excited that they offered milkshakes, but greatly disappointed when I got mine. I ordered the Nutella shake and it was the consistency of milk. It was not a shake at all. I drank it because it tasted like good chocolate/Nutella milk, but it was not a milkshake as I expected. I also ordered the classic Mexican bowl with carnitas and fajita veggies. It was very good and they gave me a lot of meat. My friend ordered one as well with guacamole on the side. When we got back to our hotel there was no guacamole in our bag so that was also disappointing. Overall just an ok experience.

Tasty, healthy options for breakfast, lunch & dinner — think Chipotle, but with a broader worldview. Boloco’s approach, which is a clever business angle, is to combine Chipotle’s healthy /all-natural /organic take on fast casual with California Pizza Kitchen’s(or Wolfgang Puck’s, if you prefer) tradition-busting approach to ingredients. Which is to say, they take the basic forms of Chipotlized Mexican food(burritos, bowls, etc.), and use them to encompass not just traditional Mexican ingredients, but other tasty flavor combinations from around the world. Which is how you end up with their tasty Buffalo chicken burritos and Thai peanut chicken bowls. On a recent visit to Boston, I enjoyed a number of meals at Boloco. For breakfast #1, I tried the huevos rancheros burrito: eggs, black beans, salsa, cilantro — delicious! I made the mistake of ordering the ‘original’ size(their largest), which was gut-bustingly massive. Picture the kind of burrito that feels heavy in your hands when you pick it up. For me that was too much, but your mileage may vary. For breakfast #2, I downsized to a ‘small’(their middle size), which was still quite filling, and this time got the Truckstop(eggs, thick slices of meaty bacon, cheese, potatoes) — also a winner. The burritos each came with a free coffee, and at less than $ 5 for the combo, were solid values. Later in the day, the Buffalo chicken and Thai peanut chicken bowls were both delicious, with the sauces being spot-on. I like the fact that they let you choose either dark or white meat chicken. The mediterranean salad was also good, and for me, a necessary option to round out the meal, as the aforementioned bowls included chicken, rice and sauce, but were otherwise veggie-free. Service was friendly and efficient, and this location is right on the park, so you’ve got great views as well. All in all, a great combination.

Our one rule for our honeymoon was to only eat at restaurants we don’t have at home. We were looking for a quick bite before we started on The Freedom Trail and saw Boloco, and decided to try it out. I really liked the option of ordering from a tablet rather than waiting to get to the register and one can still interact with the people making the food while the order is prepared. I got the Classic Mexican with chicken and steak. It was very good. One other thing I really, really appreciated was being able to choose portion size! I was happy I could order a small burrito!

Perfect pit stop for a healthy and fast bite. Cute and clean inside with good views of the park. Also nice outdoor seating(see my pics). I ordered from an iPad and had my meal in minutes. Loved that I could customize the order with all of the ingredients(I added lots of veggies) and that they offered variable sizes(I wasn’t hungry enough for a standard burrito bowl but the small was ideal). This is a great healthy spot for the price!

I miss the bowl of free broken chip pieces, the m&m’s, my loco card, but then you come out with a Cheeseburger Burrito?! Honestly«nailed it» on a basic order of ground beef, cheese lettuce and tomato on a wheat rap. See you at 11

If you can’t decide if you want Thai, Japanese, or Mediterranean and love eating foods wrapped in a tortilla look no farther than boloco! This chain can simultaneously satisfy your international food AND burrito cravings with friendly staff to boot! I love the buffalo burrito. It is beyond delicious, but probably isn’t the healthiest choice. The spicy sauce and blue cheese combine for a zesty flavorful extravaganza. The Bangkok Thai is also very good, but tastes bland after all the flavor of the buffalo. Boloco also sells burritos and bowls in various sizes. Getting the mini burritos for meetings, parties, or to feed mini people is a cost effective way to provide a substantial meal or snack without breaking the bank.

Celiac/Gluten-Free Review: My husband and I dropped in for lunch after reading Boloco’s website and their dedication to making food allergy people feel welcome. From the moment we ordered, I was so impressed at how all of the staff were educated about gluten allergies. The Team Leader told me their options(which were a lot!) and made ordering a breeze. I ordered a Big Bowl and was thrilled to know they prepared mine away from the rest to avoid cross-contamination. Delicious doesn’t begin to describe it! Loved my food, loved the service. Chipotle needs to take notes on how it’s done because Boloco is king when it comes to food allergy prep and care!

I must have ordered the wrong thing, because I’m certainly not getting the results some of the other reviewers got. I ordered a carnitas classic Mexican from this Chipotles clone with an international twist. Two words: dry and bland Thank goodness for the Tabasco. Otherwise, I would not have even known I was eating food. I did appreciate the size of the burrito. The eating experience seemed to go on longer than Chipotles. Or it could have been a result of the food being so boring like a movie that I just want to end!

I want to give four stars because they were very polite even though we ran in last night five minutes before they were closing. But I can only give only three. I love burritos and we got one that had a lot of potential to be pretty yummy: mango salsa, fajita veggies, guac, rice, tofu, and more. Maybe it was just because we were rushing, but I hardly found the burrito to be «inspired». I would give it another try, but I would not want to pay $ 10 just to try a lackluster burrito. I wish they offered shrimp. That would make the $ 10 a little more worthwhile.

Like any true Emerson student, I eat at this Boloco a lot. It’s easy, the food is good, and I can get something cheap and vegetarian other than a stupid veggie burger. Also, they’re the only burrito place that has figured out that consumers don’t always want a burrito the size of an infant; they offer varying sizes of burritos! Well, I’ve had a lot of great experiences at Boloco, but I’m writing this after having a bad moment. I ordered what I usually get-a small Bangkok Thai burrito with tofu. It wasn’t until after I paid and they began making my food that they alerted me they didn’t have any tofu. My heart sank – I’d already paid and could almost taste it. «Come on, Boloco,» I thought. «You’re better than this.» That’s when they proved that they were. They were incredibly apologetic, made me fresh vegetables, and gave me a card that said«we let you down :(we messed up big time» and entitled me to a free menu item. Boloco, you have totally redeemed yourself. What a delicious burrito it was.

I’m from Atlanta and after living in Boston for 3 years only to move back home, I wish Moe’s and Chipotle would get a clue about real burritos! Boloco is no joke! This is how a burrito should be made. Fresh ingredients, huge portions, upgrades like guac and extra peanut sauce, free of charge and locations on almost every corner. Top that off with burritos so big you’ll need a fork and food that won’t weigh you down and I’m a happy girl! The Thai peanut burrito with extra sauce is my weakness. I was recently in town for a week and had one every day! You can’t beat their low prices and friendly service for a quick lunch off The Common. Please, pretty please, open a location in Atlanta!

My friend suggested to try this place as we were finding our way to Chipotle, I knew this was a bad idea. I am from California, and we don’t have boloco out there. And you wonder why they didn’t make it out to the west coast… I see review highlights saying they’ve never been a burrito fan until they had boloco… And another review saying it is a good substitute of Chipotle. wait a second… HOLDUP… What in the world are they talking about?! This is the nastiest franchised«mexican» restaurant I have ever tried. I am not even being biased at all. I had no trouble with the staff, because they were nice, but it was the food that made me disgusted. It is definitely not a substitute of Chipotle. You can say this is similar to Chipotle and Qdoba, but the difference is that they offer more flavors to choose from, which is just unnecessary. If the food is actually good, you don’t have to mask it with unnecessary sauces and flavoring to make it taste better. They also offer different portion sizes, but even the original was not enough for me, or maybe it was because I had trouble putting this bowl of nasty mush in my mouth. Well, I am a big fan of buffalo wings, so I ordered their buffalo chicken burrito bowl. I seriously wanted to throw up what I ate back in the bowl. Ok, maybe my expectations were too high, because I expected it to be somewhat similar to Chipotle or what buffalo wings taste like. It was no where near Chipotle or buffalo wings. There was too much sauce on my burrito bowl that it turned the rice into a pile of mush. And when I tried to mix everything together, it looked very unappetizing, like diarrhea. Sorry, to paint such a nasty picture in your head, but please, if you are looking for real mexican food, don’t go here. Also, if you are looking for fake mexican food, don’t go here. If instead, you like unappetizing food, I know a place to go, BOLOCO!
