the food isn’t bad… but waaay too overpriced. $ 9 after tax for the size of wrap you get isn’t cool. And sometimes depending on the worker you will get a wrap even smaller than usual. less filling and a whole lot of wrap. For $ 9-$ 10 you can get a whole meal in the same neighborhood.

Inconsistent is a word that comes to mind. It is across from my office, so I sometimes go purely for convenience. Generally order the teriyaki bowl, which is decent. Have also had the buffalo bowl which is actually just covered in hot sauce and nothing even remotely close to Buffalo. Today I got a burrito and it wasn’t even edible. Always get white meat chicken and what I got today was slimy, darkish mystery meat. Took one bite and threw it out. Safe to say I won’t be back after that. GROSS.

Just can’t eat another salad or sandwich but want to keep it healthy, light and not break the bank? Boloco it is baby. I really like htis location — the staff are super friendly and efficient, the dining area with its high ceilings and exposed brick is inviting and spacious with loads of seating. The ingredients are fresh and tasty(the grilled white meat chicken is smokey, flavorful deliciousness) and always satisfying. This is a usual on the lunch rotation.

I feel a little silly writing a review of a Boloco. There are dozens of them all within dead-cat swinging distance, and the burritos are all the same. Mediocre and huge. However, this location does one thing exceedingly well: it turns out mediocre, but huge burritos very, very quickly. They’re a stop-in-and-grab-a-tube-of-things lunch spot, and they know it. From cash exchange to burrito retrieval, I believe that approximately 1 minute passed. And it is a decent burreet. It’s no Boca Grande or Anna’s, but it’ll do when i want a flour-encased tube of food.

Was visiting Boston for work and this place is across the street. This place reminds me of a chipotle. We don’t have this place back in the west coast but I was glad I fell upon this place. There portions are perfect for lunch. I’m a small person so I don’t eat much for lunch. They have burritos, bowls, etc. I had a small steak bowl(Cajun) and it was a perfect serving size. And to top it off they are done with your order pretty fast.

The comment seems to have helped. The staff is better trained and more patient. The food is good, and the choices are useful.

I love the burritos but if you’re on a lunch break and need to be back within the hour, I’d order ahead of time online so that your lunch is ready for you when you get there, the wait during lunch is horrendous!

I’ve been to almost all of the Bolocos in the downtown area and this location is by far the best managed(most are about 4 stars, but this locations get the extra star) and have the best floor plan. Nice spot for readers. The quality and freshness of the food is excellent. I especially like the Thai and Teryaki bowls. As to the food, either you like that type of cuisine are you don’t. Watch out for the cookies and shakes — totally addicting.

This is a great spot for lunch. I always get the buffalo chicken bowl. Probably the best tasting morsel of food you will ever have if you enjoy the taste of buffalo sauce. Fresh chicken, fresh rice and a healthy amount of blue cheese(Also celery but I hate that vile weed so none for me). Yum! Order online and get 10% off too… Great deal and the staff is quick and friendly.

Not the best location… ordered a buffalo, there was no buffalo. The essence of what the buritto should be was not there. I think the place is in dire need of an overhaul and/or more staff on hand. They only have like 3 people making the food, compared to the Boylston locaiton which I think honestly squeezes in 40 people back there like a clown car. How about some Bussines Opertions insight here and qualtiy management and throughput? ***UPDATE**** I came here more recently, and my order was correct. I still think this location is a bit stretched in terms of staffing, but I’ll likely be back… we’ll see. I’d still prefer to go to another one of their locations.

Interesting assortment of burritos. Loved the quirky advertising found throughout the restaurant. I found the burrito a little too spicy. I liked hanging out at a table by the window and people watching. I always love free wi-fi. If in the area, I think I’d try them again. Maybe be a bit more vocal about wanting something on the not very spicy side. Definitely wanted to try this the few times I went by, and glad I did(I’m a finicky eater!).

Boloco is one of the pioneers of wraps in Boston. In fact I have been going to their locations back when they used to be called The Wrap. My favorite items are: The Summer Burrito w/Chicken — Not your traditional Mexican burrito but good. It comes with this good mango salsa, other than that you get all the standard burrito fillings. Their wraps can be a little bland but they are a solid choice Jimmy Carter Smoothie — Great smoothie! This is my go to item whenever I go to Boloco. A yogurt, peanut butter and banana smoothie, so good!

I’ve been here a few times when I’m occassionally working in the Financial District/Seaport area. The food is fine. The cashiers are in a hurry, the place is loud, I’m always worried something is going to go wrong and it’s going to be the worst experience in the world to get it fixed. Fortunately, there’s only been an error once — and it was a larger burrito than I ordered, which I was also charged for. But it could have been worse. I’m being kind here, because this place isn’t BAD, it’s just… fine. I’m not going to get into the whole burrito v. wrap debate, because at the end of the day, when all is said and done, who freaking cares? Anyways… The dining area smells like an old, musty basement however. I’ve eaten there twice. Once a few months ago, and once recently. I can’t believe this hasn’t been taken care of. It’s ridiculously unappetizing. That’s my major gripe with the spot. The Boloco fat cats must not visit this location often, or they don’t consider this to be a problem. It’s just strange.

Tried this joke of a place for the first time today and was very disappointed with the burrito and the chips and guac. Especially, since they didn’t put the Guac in the bag. Ordered two Yucatan Habanero burritos and one bowl for me and my co-workers along with two chips and guac, but no guac in the bag. Missing the Habanero salsa on all three. Probably the most flavorless burrito I’ve ever had and the chips are gross and stale, which is probably because they were made yesterday. I wouldn’t stop here again to use the bathroom let alone buy food. This place is a complete rip off!

The breakfast options in the Financial District are plentiful, but really all the same. Most people get an egg and cheese from one of the sandwich places or head to Dunkin Donuts. I go to Boloco and get the huevos rancheros breakfast burrito — scrambled eggs, black beans, salsa and cheese. This is the fastest and tastiest breakfast around. $ 4.50 gets you the massive original size burrito. It’s actually so much food that I have had the staff question if that’s the size I really want. It’s so good, I can’t help myself, so yes I want that size. There’s plenty of room to sit and enjoy your breakfast in peace before heading off to work. The music and local art work is a nice touch too. When you go, grab a Boloco card. You’ll be hooked on their breakfast and you’ll want to accumulate points. After only a few visits, you will earn yourself a free menu item.

I love Boloco because it lets me get Mexican with my friends who hate Mexican. I love the Cape Codder smoothie with any one of their Mexican burrito options. I’m a vegetarian and I don’t really like roasted vegetables so I just go for plain. The tofu is too big and doesn’t balance well. I just ask for extra rice to make up for it. I tried the Yucatan and my only complaint was that the pickled onions weren’t spread out well. This location is bigger than Northeastern but I didn’t eat inside. It was pretty cold with all the people coming and going.

I actually like this place! I wouldn’t go as far as to call this place a Mexican or burrito place… But I LOVED the teriyaki chicken wrap. I found it hard to find a good teriyaki chicken in Boston, so I got a quick fix here. The regular size was perfect(for me) for lunch! The strawberry-banana-honey-soy smoothie was also a must to stay cool in the humid summers. I would actually walk over the Congress Street Bridge in the dead of winter for a wrap from this place!

can someone please explain to me what the hell is so inspired about these wraps. and who gave them permission to call themselves a burrito place??? its a flippin wrap. you know, like the name of the place before they decided to change it. call it a wrap, and i’ll give you 1 more star. but I’m sure you’ll insist on calling it an inspired wrap, and there’s no way anyone who works there is ever inspired when they’re making me lunch. I’ve been told their shakes — especially the peanut butter ones, are good. I can see how one would find their rice filled wraps edible too, but frankly there are sooooo many better options within 1⁄10th of a mile, why would you even bother? what a joke!

I’ve been to the boloco near Northeastern and this location is much better. The waitstaff is friendly and they move quick despite the lunchtime rush. My favorite ‘burrito’: the buffalo chicken, but they make a mean ‘classic’ burrito as well. This spot’s got alot of seating and it is off to the side, unusual for most area lunchspots.
