WAY better than Jillian’s. Better service, tables, and paddles. A bit quiet when I’ve been, but I don’t mind. You should have more tournaments. I bet you’d gain more followers.

I just never have the best time when I am here. Always pretty empty. Lots of empty space where they could put tables so not everyone has to stand awkwardly.

Was ignored at the bar for half an hour with cash in hand. It’s a good concept, and I had fun playing ping pong, but the rude waitstaff make this place intolerable.

Came here for a corporate function. It was your typical sports bar but with ping pong tables scattered on the sides of the bar. Food was relatively good, waitstaff were efficient and overall a fun place to hold an event.

Such fun! My department had our holiday party here. I am in love with the concept: play cornhole, ping pong, and hit in the batting cages while someone’s there to give you a new beer? And there’s pizza? And jalepeno poppers. Yeah, this is fun. Additionally, what a great way to kick the winter blues and pretend it’s summer! The bartenders were very attentive and the servers made sure not to interfere with our cornhole game when serving. My only complaint is that the batting cage area is poorly ventilated and needs a little cool air.

MUSTAVOID… Wow, I’ve experienced terrible service and rude waitstaff, but not like this. Went here with an expired Gilt City voucher — yes, I failed to use the $ 55 value, so I was entitled to use the $ 35 paid value(by Mass law). It took four waitresses and two managers to determine that I could, in fact, use the $ 35 paid value. Note that I worked for a Daily Deal company so I’m pretty knowledgable about the laws here — Brad, the idiotic manager, would not honor the $ 35 paid value for anything but food. THAT’S NOTHOWTHISWORKS, BRAD! So, I played some ping pong with a friend, and when I went to the bathroom, the cute/stupid waitstaff literally asked BRAD«is that him?» referring to me, the guy who used a Gilt City voucher, which THISBARSIGNEDUPFOR. So I said, «Yes ladies, that’s me.» And apparently that offended the manager BRAD enough to ask me to leave. There’s a reason this place is dead, always. It isn’t welcoming, and isn’t fun. Surely another bar will open in it’s place, and if they want to seem friendly, they won’t have BRAD the manager working anywhere nearby :-)

Blazing Paddles mademy trip to Boston. The number of T.V.s in the place makes seeing your game easy, even if you are a 49er fan in Boston. The people working there went above and beyond to make me feel at home there. I went back every day I spent in Boston which was 6 days. The ping pong tables and paddles were top of the line equipment. My hat is off to Nate and Jen and will got here every time iamin Boston.

Avoid this place at all costs. There are infinitely better options on the same street. I went to this place with some friends to play ping pong. After showing us to a table, the«manager» asked for our IDs. He took my perfectly standard, valid, legitimate out-of-state driver’s license and proceeded to rip it in half. No joke. He was so conceitedly sure it was fake, he didn’t even say a word to me. He told my friend he was«an expert at detecting fakes,» whatever that means. I’ve seldom met such an ignoramus. I can only assume that after the police came and talked to him, he acknowledged that he was wrong. But he didn’t even apologize to us afterwards. Needless to say, I will never come here again, nor will any of my Boston friends. This is one of the most ridiculous experiences I’ve ever had in a bar. Truly shameful for the establishment. By the way, if you think an ID is fake, hold it and call the cops. Don’t rip it like an idiot.

We came here as a goodbye party for our job. Some of us are under 21. No one told us that we must vacate if we are under 21. So my company books this place for 80 people. Right when its 9, they kick out over half of us even though we had this place till 11:30. The pizza came out slowly despite them knowing for 2 weeks in advance we were coming. For such crappy pizza, it sure was slow service. But the best comes at 9 when they were kicking out half of us. They literally grab and push my friend out of the bar. It was the most unnecessary thing I have witnessed in my life. Of course, when we confront them, they protect their worker instead of being logical. They failed to be critical and rational. The literally ruined our night. Everyone was pretty unhappy about the situation. They deserve a 1.

I came here on a Thursday night for my friend’s birthday. It was surprisingly very empty, but the Red Sox were away, so that might have something to do with it. I’m pretty sure it was $ 25 to use a table for an hour, which I think is a good deal. The drinks on the other hand, were what you would expect to pay in this area, or more than you should pay for a draught beer. By the time we left we were the only people there, and we pretty much had the place to ourselves(which I enjoyed, but you may not). It was a little odd. But it’s new, and I think it’s a really good idea and will probably become more crowded as time goes on. All in all, we had a really good time.

Had a really good time here the other night! The prices are a bit high for the ping-pong rental but become more reasonable when you split it between a group. Drinks were good too, didn’t try the food but it looked like standard bar fare.

I was lucky to be invited by my bff to go to an event that this company catered some food to. I felt the staff was very nice. I spent some time talking to one of the wait staff and they explained the different choices and was nice. We all enjoyed the sandwiches that were not dried out meat but was juicy and had good flavor. They were like mini sandwiches that I could sample a few deli style. They also offered some delicious fruit choices. If I had a big but casual event but I would use them to cater my food. It was really good. I would even like to go see their restaurant some day it sounds cool.

I tried to book an event at Blazing Paddles today without any luck. When I called to schedule the event, I was told that they don’t take reservations on game days(Red Sox games that is). I assumed they meant that the event can’t be on a game day(maybe because they fill up or something) so I clarified that my event would not be on a game day. Turns out it doesn’t matter, because there is a Red Sox game today they won’t accept any reservations(even if you call at 11am and the game is at 7pm). This is the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard and incredibly inconvenient because the Red Sox are playing the next 3 days in a row so I have no way to book my event.

Don’t lose something in this place. You will be ignored by all of the staff downstairs. The«manager» will not help despite pretending to care, and will instead lean on the wall for hours instead of helping a customer. You’d think the manager would know that the lost and found is right upstairs and to ask them first. Nope! Didn’t bother to look!

It’s an excellent concept, a ping pong bar, but they seem to have a really difficult time actually getting people on ping pong tables. My friend and I arrived at 8 on a Saturday and got a table very quickly. We reserved it for an hour, however halfway through we were told they’d made a mistake and that that table was actually reserved and we were kicked off. There were several other empty tables but we were told those were also reserved. It was a strange interaction and you could tell their reservation system is seriously flawed. It was similar to the seinfeld car rental scene. To their credit they didn’t charge us for using the table we were kicked off of. Hopefully they iron the kinks out soon.

It’s a great concept, and the area is really nice. However, the manager told my friend we could reserve the two«private» tables and there would be no time limit. She planned everything for her boyfriend’s birthday. We called ahead of time to tell them that we would be half an hour late because our dinner was taking a very long time from the slow service. When we got to Blazing Paddles, they told us there would be a time limit(totally different than what was told to her on the phone). We only got the two tables for 1.5 hours, which felt like a very short time considering there were twenty of us and we all had to take turns playing. I was disappointed by their miscommunication. We also did not get any«private» tables as the two tables were out in the open in the midst of the crowd. The plus side is that the waitress was very nice.

Cool new place downstairs in Game On. Something a little different in Fenway. Ping pong tables line the room with a center bar and dining tables around the inside. Feels almost like a sports den or club. I just stopped by for a quick drink and game so can’t speak to the food. Bartender took a while to take notice which was slightly irritating but that was my only qualm. I’d like to check it out again.
