Ascend Nightclub

Do not buy tickets in advance as there is no guarantee you’ll be let it. This club caters to the groups of people who show up not knowing who the DJ playing is at all, but are there to buy VIP bottle service.

The venue and place is nice, however the cover charge for the G — Easy event last night was way over priced simply for the fact he didn’t show up until 1:30 and they close at 2. I am disgusted, I paid $ 60 for two tickets to the event which said 10pm and I waited for hours to ultimately be disappointed. I am outraged I paid money for an event that was simply 30 minutes. It was my first and last time at Ascend.

My Saturday night venue of choice. — The renovation is gorgeous, the sound booms, and the screens are great. Dj’s have been great — really enjoyed Claude and Jason.
I think it was a good move to have the nightclub entrance and door in the back. Keeps it more organized with the lines for tables and GA.
Looking forward to more good acts there.

I wish this place wasn’t so terrible, as they bring in great DJs.
Pros:
— Like I said, they bring in some great talent. I’ve seen Snails, Jauz and some other bass DJs here and they also bring in some great house acts.
— The sound isn’t bad.
Cons:
— They used to be pretty chill with the dress code, but after the re-​branding, I saw people turned away left and right. Seriously? You want people to dress up for a bass music show? Rule #1 in business is know your customer. Don’t bring in dubstep/​trap DJs to bring in that crowd and take their money, but show no love to the culture.
— There are 3 levels. The first level is a total joke. Literally no lighting, no place to sit, nothing. It has all the ambiance and production value of my living room… except my living room has a couch and free booze. The second level is the best — but the production is still pretty weak. Upstairs is again, a dead zone.
— The first time I was there (Snails) the crowd was mad chill, but last time I was there (Jauz) the crowd was awful. Super wasted… lot’s of awkward girls teetering in heels not dancing and lots of drunken bottle service d-​bags who kept bothering. Not my scene.
After 4 times of being relatively disappointed, I won’t be coming here again.

The entire nightclub is a tower so you are constantly running up and down stairs like a fire fighter. On top of that you can’t leave the main room because they are always at capacity and if you leave you can not come back — as a result there’s a massive crowd that starts to build in the front door
Security is a mess and violent. I was there and witnessed them screaming and touching people with an unreasonable amount of force. I’ve seen this happen on several occasions.
Lastly, unless u like rolling to dub step in a nobody club with horrible operations, don’t go here.
