Gonna start by saying that I’m not anywhere near an elite connoisseur of steak but I looooove steak medium rare always haha I had the filet mignon and my boyfriend has this hUge round thing that looked like a bark(hey, I told you I wasn’t an expert) It was GREAT — the service and interior and the food all of it. We tried this bacon appetizer(I think it was called woodsmoked or something close to that) I also got their fries bc why not. Of course the fries were great too The waiter always kept an eye on our table and filled our cups constantly! The waiter also took care of our desserts when he found out it was our anniversary. For my filet mignon, I ordered their bigger size and although that alone would be small for me, the larger steak + the appetizers and their BREAD(it’s actually worth the hype it’s so simple but so addicting — try not to eat more than one batch so you can finish your entrée) got me so full I couldn’t finish the steak. Their chocolate cake is HUUUGE and my boyfriend had bread pudding which he really enjoyed. I really loved everything about here. I had one more thing to check out before I left that night and declare it one of my favorite restaurant … The bathroom! Call me weird but their bathroom was also beautiful! 1. Their bathroom stall doors had doorknobs and 2. Their paper towels are these thick, luxurious-feeling napkins hahahah it was great

We’ve eaten at this restaurant several times since my last review, and it never fails to impress. However, this most recent visit went above and beyond… My wife and I went back to Boston this past weekend to celebrate our wedding anniversary and had dinner at Abe & Louie’s. I made the reservation several months ago, and spoke with Nic, who promised to take care of us. And boy, oh boy, did he! We had a nice, large booth with just the right amount of privacy. We were wished«Happy Anniversary» multiple times, by multiple people. My bone-in ribeye, prepared Pittsburg Medium Rare, was OUTSTANDING. The potatoes au gratin were the best we’ve ever had. My wife’s salmon was perfect. The salads and other sides were just right. Our waiter, whose name I can’t recall(he shared with us that he was Moroccan), was first class. Then, just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, they surprised us with an on the house dessert, in honor of our wedding anniversary. This continues to be my favorite restaurant, period. While there are some good steakhouses in the Nashville area, none come close to Abe & Louie’s.

The staff is fantastic but the meal was very underwhelming. Three of us got bone in filet’s and we were very disappointed as the meet had no flavor at all. We ordered one of their lobster dishes to share between a few of us and the lobster meat was incredibly dry. Would not return to this one no matter what the reviews might say.

Everything is great besides their steak sauce. Hopefully they’ll get A1 one day. The steak is perfect! Exactly what you ask for. Nothing more nothing less.

If you’re looking for an exceptional steak with flawless service, look no further. I have been here twice, once with my husband and then was so impressed, I brought people from work here and both times were fantastic. When I went with my husband, we made a reservation for 7:30pm during the week and were seated immediately upon arrival. We opted for a Malbec Reserve which was excellent along with the massive porter house for 2 – this thing looked like it had been charred on an outdoor grill with a perfect sear and supreme medium-rare center. We then opted for the blue cheese mashed potatoes and steak fries for sides. To end the meal we had the key lime pie which was absolutely delicious. Too much whip cream for my liking but the key lime part was super yummy! For the group dinner– I made a reservation same day for 9 and we had a great table upstairs which allowed for some more private space and allowed us to be noisier. We loved the tuna tartar, crab cakes, wood-fired bacon with blue and most of us ordered their surf and turf special-8oz filet and lobster though the waiter said we could choose from a variety of seafood options if desired. Others ordered fish dishes which everyone loved and then we had a variety of desserts. The cast-iron chocolate chip cookie with ice cream was stellar and others raved about their crème bruele, chocolate cake and espresso martinis. Service was impeccable. We had a nice semi-private table upstairs and service both times was very friendly, made great recommendations and was super fast. This place has got it down and delivers.

Overall not bad not great but not bad. Let’s start with parking, don’t drive use public transpo, über or something like that. There is valet if you chose to drive. Have a reservation! There was a couple in front of us who did not have a reservation and the next opening was at 9:30, ours was at 7. We were able to get a seat at our RSVP time unfortunately the table sucked! It was right on the end of where there was major traffic! I got bumped, hit, knocked in the head by purses, etc. It truly sucked! But I did not complain because I did not want to ruin the moment. On to the food, I had a bone in porterhouse blackened. I don’t recommend it blackened. The steak was prepared to my liking however, not the best cut of meat I have had particularly for $ 50. I was not impressed with the quality of meat. It had a lot of gristle, where you chew and chew and it does not go anywhere. The side dishes were very good, lobster mac and cheese, asparagus and some kind of potato dish. We also had two bottles of wine and 6 glasses of Champaign along with two deserts, peach pie and crème burle. Service was okay but not great. Overall it was okay but not a 5 or 6 star. Maybe if I was not in the middle of traffic and getting run over I would have felt a better. The bill for 4 people was $ 500 not including tip. I think it is worth visiting and making your own judgment. Your experience will not be horrible; however, for what you are paying it should be without a doubt excellent. Eye-candy really did not have a chance to check that out the environment is not set up for that.

Impeccable service, perfect steak, and oysters the size of baby fists. The slab of bacon appetizer with a red pepper relish melted in our mouths. Even the blue cheese garnish was on an elevated level. Much more intimate of an experience versus the other massive steakhouses in Boston.

The atmosphere is absolutely excellent from the lighting to the décor and music, though the occasional trail of cigarette smoke will make its way inside. We ordered a Lobster Savannah and a Ribeye steak. The steak was well cooked but plain. The Savannah on the other hand had the expected taste but was very over salted, to the point I couldn’t enjoy the sauce after a few bites. We had a side of spinach, again quite salty, and potatoes au gratin which were on point. They do provide huge portions, as the two of us took a full meal out for leftovers from the two dishes and sides. For the amount of food, at the prices they charge, I would be fairly satisfied if the food wasn’t amateurishly over salted. I expect better food than this as compared to other pricier restaurants I’ve been to(two in FL come to mind) who had a very similar lobster dish done 3x better for the same price.

Ironically, my favorite was the free starter bread!!! It was delicious… like really delicious! Standard caesar salad and mashed potatoes, great prime ribeye(I am not an aged-steak-expert but I don’t think it is worth the price) and finally well made key lime pie! Server was excellent!

My husband and I went there to celebrate his birthday. The service were excellent. The staff were friendly and attentive. They gave my husband a free cake with candle for his birthday, which were a nice surprised. This is best filet mignon we ever had. So tender and flavorful. We can eat it with just a forks. Their baked potato comes with seperate toppings so you have control of what and how much to put on top. We had a perfect birthday celebration thanks to this restaurant.

Texans know a bit about steaks, and I can honestly say that I was disappointed in Abe’s bone-in New York Strip. First, there wasn’t a piece of meat less than $ 50 and their imported beef from Australia was over $ 150 for 6 ounces. Secondly, I assumed the steak would be great at those prices, but mine was dry and tough. I ordered it medium, but it still tasted dry and it was a bit tough to cut into and to chew. The sides were really good, and I did share a bite of the ribeye and filet. Those cuts of beef were much more tender than mine. We sat upstairs and the noise level was unbearable. I had to ease into people just to hear what they were speaking, and the waiter literally had to shoutout the specials so we could hear. It’s hard to imagine that a fancy place like this overpriced their steaks and does not do something about the noise level. Maybe the downstairs area is better, but if coming here for a date then bring the bank and a set of ear plugs to enjoy your evening.

Went to Abe &Louie for my belated bday. The bread here are insanely good! Whaaat… they added brown sugar in melted buttered rolls this time. Had one too many, i ultimately am full before my Eggs Benni Trio(steak, lump crab, lobster) came. Eggs…perfectly pouched center w/not too heavy hollandaise… one on each english muffin. It came with red potatoes w/onion n red peppers. During brunch, this was the 2nd time i ordered this. Have to say, I enjoyed it better the 1st time. The seafood seems fishy n steak shrinked in serving size. My friend had steak n eggs. It came with same potatoes n english muffins. The steak is a good size strip… about 5−6in. Looks juicy. I’ll order rhat next time. Brunch is a bit pricey… but i would pay for steak at Abe & Louie anyday n at anytime… cos it’s worth it!

I won’t lie. I’m not above occasionally liberally deeming businesses the coveted 5-star review status that maybe haven’t quite actually earned it. But holy hell is that not the case here. The place was extremely posh and had a very old yet distinguished ambiance to it. The staff was extremely friendly and personable. We started off with the excellently baked yeast rolls. They were salty yet light and fluffy to perfection. For appetizers we had the wood-fired bacon, tuna tartare, and baked clams casino. The bacon was by far the crowd-favorite, especially when sandwiched between a loaf of the aforementioned heaven rolls. For a cocktail I had the darkened peach martini which was tasty but still packed a punch. For dinner, while the steaks here are all pricey(nothing below $ 40 and the menu peaks at about $ 200) you definitely get your money’s worth in both quality and quantity. These are primo cuts and are expertly cooked to perfection. Splitting the del monico(topped with delicious melted blue cheese) was more than enough to leave me feeling full. For sides we had an amazingly decadent lobster mac and cheese, brussel sprouts, and sweet potato. The obvious drawback for this place is the price. But at the end of the day, years later looking back on this meal I’ll definitely be remembering the excellent cuisine and time spent with family, not the price we paid for it. Go here and bring loved ones.

Came here for a work dinner and we were pampered from greeting at the front door to leaving after the meal. All 3 of us order their Prime Ribeye and we were not disappointed one bit! We got the sautéed green beans and potato has as our sides. Green beans were delectable, while I wasn’t too impressed with their potato hash, it was okay! We got their cocktail shrimp and it was really good! I like how they give you cocktail sauce AND horseradish separately so you make it how you like it! The waiter gave me some melted butter because I rather that on my giant seafood than cocktail sauce. Our waiter was super friendly and definitely had fun with us. We had a great time, and we would for sure come back to Abe & Louie’s!

Nice old school style steakhouse that has excellent selections for brunch. Service was excellent, and so were our dishes. I ordered the Trio Eggs Benedict, which includes a crab cake, lump Maine Lobster meat, and 4 oz. filet mignon. Eat of these items were used to create a version of egg benedict. All three varieties were served. The Trio Eggs Benedict was excellent. However, 2 of the 3 eggs were poached perfectly. But the last one, with lobster meat, wasn’t executed properly as the egg yolk was overcooked to the point where the creamy center had harden, so it was not as pleasing to the taste.

Mimosas on white tablecloths, what more could you ask for? Abe & Louie’s is Breakfast at Tiffany’s in Boston — waking up to brunch in a steakhouse, can’t go wrong. Excellent service, classy ambiance in a beautiful setting, reasonable prices to boot. Convenient Back Bay location perfect for weekend shopping. My friend and I enjoyed the lump crab benny and potato bacon omelette with onions, gruyére, chives — unique and tasty. Complimentary bread puffs were a tasty treat — served with warmed brown sugar sprinkled on top, literally addicting. Caught a glimpse of some very serious bloody’s at the table next to us, for those who fancy bloody marys. Service was outstanding, prompt and attentive. Think I’ve found my Back Bay brunch perch — will be back!

This seems to be an old favourite in the back bay. Most Bostonians I’ve talked to know of the place, and highly recommend it. I ended up here for both dinner and brunch, but somehow didn’t get any steak so I can’t vouch for them. My contacts will let you know that the steak is very good here. It seems pricey but pretty fair for a good chunk of meat. As for other dishes, I am more impressed by the sides than the salad. While the basic salad was decent, the veggies were not the most flavourful(guess I’m too spoiled by them Californian stuff). The sides offered are very heavy on the starch side, but you can’t really go wrong with having some mashed potatoes or Mac n cheese with your steak. The brunch stuff seemed ok — I think the dinner is perhaps a better deal in terms of quality and price. I didn’t get one of the fancy items and stuck to the basic meat and eggs) my favourites!!), and it really didn’t leave much of an impression. I didn’t hate it, but I sure wouldn’t have come here for the brunch alone.

MUSTMUSTMUST stop by if you’re in Boston! This place deserves a 5 star rating! I’m from Dallas, TX where people sure do have high standards for what is considered good steak. I was disappointed with a lot of steakhouses in Boston when I first moved here, but now I know I’ve just been to all the wrong ones. I came here last night and had to rave about this place on Unilocal. We were a table for two and we ordered: Drinks: One glass of Rose Appetizer:(Complimentary) butter bread, Crab cakes Entrees: Bone-in Ribeye and Filet Mignon Sides: Sautéed Mushrooms, Lobster Mac and Cheese, Sweet Potato Fries Total: $ 180(Not including tip) Pricey meal, but is expected when going to a fancy steakhouse. I’m not afraid to say that each bite was worth every penny. The highlights were the Filet Mignon, Lobster Mac and Cheese, and the bread! Oh the bread! Complimentary bread sometimes is the deciding factor for me because oddly it’s my favorite part of the course. The dinner rolls were touched with just enough butter and salt on top. We went for a second round. They were that good! My Filet Mignon which I requested as medium well was perfectly cooked. It wasn’t dry at all and very juicy. I recommend asking for the house made steak sauce! The lobster mac and cheese was the most surprising dish. While it was considered a «side,» it was priced $ 27. Luckily, the dish was worth it. Half of it was lobster! I was expecting some sprinkles of lobster here and there, but the amount/quality of lobster the dish had was amazing. YUM! NOTE that the portions here are HUGE except for the appetizers! Next time I’ll be ordering 2 side dishes instead of 3. We took 4 boxes of leftovers to take home. Make reservations ahead of time because it’s popular. Wish I could come here every week! :)

Aperitivos exquisitos. La carne de calidad y cocinada al punto exacto q se pidieron. La langosta en salsa de quesos estaba deliciosa. Es bastante caro pero la calidad es superior
