I always see this place closed in the Summer but after several years finally got a chance to try their fudge and it amazing. So many different choices and friendly staff.

The Fudge Factory I’d a little known gem of a place in Borrego Springs. Fantastic Fudge and things. Very popular with locals as well as visitors. The shakes are large and tasty with The Date Shake being a favorite and landmark Shake.(A MUSTTRY) With several great smooth and creamy fudge flavors to try it will be a treat for your family when visiting this small tourist town. Be Sure to visit The Borrego Desert Visitors Center For a great experience. Enjoy.

I’m currently enjoying chocolate and mint chocolate chip ice cream here after a morning in the hot desert sun. I’ve been looking forward to this since yesterday(they were closed) and they did not disappoint! The Blue Bunny brand ice cream is delicious. The shop itself is cute and friendly with a few tables inside and out, and they sell other goodies like Jelly Bellies and licorice and cookies, and of course fudge(home made) as the shop name implies. I’m not a big fudge fan, but if you are, they have over a dozen flavors! They’ve got standards like chocolate, peanut butter chocolate, maple, and vanilla, but they’ve also got some special flavors like carrot cake, pumpkin pie, chili mango, orange cream and jalapeño! This is a great place to get out of the heat and enjoy a sweet treat. I may come back tomorrow after my morning hike before I head out of town. Maybe I’ll have the mocha almond ice cream.

Excellent fudge, ice cream and sweets. Loved the homemade cinnamon rolls. Watch Huell Howser in Borrego and then go! The same nice family runs the place.

Jalapeño fudge is my husbands favorite. Lovely shop. Closed Monday’s I think and summer hours may vary. Ice cream is hand dipped. And Julian Pies are available frozen. Nice place and nice people.

Stopped here for a piece of fudge and coffee and left with chocolate fudge, rocky road fudge, mint chocolate fudge, chocolate chip cookies, coffee, Starbucks peppermint mocha, ginger beer(which made for some delicious Moscow mules), and a pumpkin muffin. If you buy two ½lb. pieces of fudge you get one free! They also give samples. Everything tasted soo yummy and the employees were very friendly and helpful. They also had ice cream, candy, pies and other gift items. If I am in the area again I will definitely come back!

The second you walk in you can feel the Mom & Pop vibe. We were greeted instantly by the Mom, the Pop and the daughter. You can really tell that they take great care and pride about their business. We got the Cherry bourbon ice cream, which was good(made by Blue Bunny). The stars of the show was the fudge. They easily had about 15 – 20 varieties. We took home the strawberry cheesecake and maple, and were politely informed that we got a ½ free if you by 1 pound so we also got the mint chocolate. They were all delicious. It my favorite by far is the mint chocolate.

My boyfriend and I visited here this past weekend and the service was awesome. They gave us a great deal on the fudge and the entire staff sang him happy birthday once they found out that it was his birthday. The peanut butter/chocolate fudge was scrumptious! We will definitely make this a stop on our trips to the desert. Delicious!

Located across from The Mall, The Fudge Factory is a fun little place that sells all sorts of sweets and beverages – fudge, ice cream, candies, pastries, coffee, espresso, and more. We enjoyed a pit stop here for fudge and Blue Bunny ice cream before hitting the road for 2 hours to head back to San Diego. The atmosphere is retro and charming. AC inside and the umbrella-shaded deck outside grant reprieve from the desert sun’s hot rays. And friendly and efficient service to boot! What’s not to like?
