Could use more antiques but it’s worth stopping by to look through what they have.

It’s 50% flea market stuff and 50% antique stuff. I only care about the antique stuff, and there’s lots of cheaper antiques to be found. You’ll have to hunt, and you’ll have to pick up and move things, but for someone like me – who sticks to things under $ 50 — it’s awesome.

I shop at approximately 10 – 20 different antique malls each year. I always stop when I see a new one when I’m on the road and seek them out online when planning a trip somewhere. I stopped here today and was mostly disappointed. If you are looking for primitives or Americana type items this place will probably sort of fun for you. If you’re looking for anything from the 40s, 50s, 60s, or 70s you will likely be disappointed. I mostly collect kitchen items and furniture from the 50s &60s and found nothing. Not much selection from those eras, sadly. If you are looking for primitives or Americana, definitely stop! The mall next door has lots as well and is much larger/better organized in my opinion.

As in any business of this type(multiple vendors under one roof) you will quickly find your favorites. I appreciate the fact that most vendors in Market Place Antiques know that folks are shopping with an eye for bargains and price items accordingly. Lots and lots of stuff under $ 10.00. Even under $ 5.00 Everything from unusual tchotchkes to books to jigsaw puzzles to eclectic artwork and some good ol’ fashioned junk are found here. The place is fairly large and you can easily find yourself browsing an hour or more while here. The only knock I have is that it’s off the beaten path kind of in the middle of nowhere on Alternate Route 40. Definitely worth the trip though!!!

I’ve been going to this HUGE antique shop for seven years. I always find something, usually too many things! Standard set-up of individual dealers’ booths. Just about anything you could imagine buying, someone has it here. Antique china, kitschy items, collectibles, tools, books, linens, etc. There’s even an antique doctor’s buggy outside for sale. Every time I take out of town visitors here, they end up shipping boxes of things back home. Friendly staff, free coffee, and restrooms.
