Absolutely a great place to chill and enjoy some good food. Staff very friendly and professional in line with the corporate rules but you will enjoy the uniqueness of the stuff here that make this Roy’s location one of the best. Cené is one of the bartender. Well prepared, professional and particularly attentive. Dylan, one of the dining waiter is absolutely unique. He is an outstanding wine connoisseur and very prepared about the menu. Huge menu, great fusion selection but in my opinion definitely to try the Lobster Potstickers, Roasted Macadamia Nut Crusted Mahi Mahi and to finish The Hot Chocolate Soufflé, to die for,… Enjoy this extraordinary Hawaiian experience!!!

This is a happy hour review ! Be mindful you get what you pay for ! We had the lobster potstickers, delicious, ebi roll was quite nice. Now, the ribs used to be so good here, now they are stringy and fatty, I wouldn’t order them again. We asked for a wagyu burger to be cooked medium, well not so, just cook the hell out of it why don’t you? Drinks are ok, but the food is not how I remember it not even from a year ago !!!

The food is so good here, come here whenever we come to our timeshare. Wagyu meatloaf is def one of my favorite dishes. Also, the short rib… And the butterfish! This place has a good thing going on and their happy hour is even amazing… My favorite thing here is the chocolate soufflé, it is amazing and has the most delicious lava pouring out. Well worth it. Honestly, I was a little pissed off as our waiter came moseying over slow as ever when we’re starving of course… And is like super extra and fake with his obnoxious behavior I remember his stupid face from the last time I came here… We go to sit down and he tries put us in a booth which we denied, he leaves us standing in the dining room as he takes his sweet ass time walking back up to the front to see where he could seat us… like I really could have walked out… he’s lucky we came for the food and I would have def not wanted him as our waiter but I think we made that loud and clear as we had a new one. But really Roy’s, some ass like that can ruin someone’s experience luckily it was not my first time here and I know how good the food is…

My husband and I had gotten in the habit of celebrating our last night in Florida on each trip having dinner at Roy’s. We had been going to the Roy’s in Naples but were becoming less and less impressed with what was formerly the upscale, outstanding service there. In fact, on a prior trip, our server ended up being the bartender. We were seated, as requested, at an outside table there, and somehow had the bartender as our server. Service was very disappointing. In one instance, when he had forgotten yet another thing, he actually stated that he had experienced a «brain fart». Seriously, we remember the days when the server would bring individual dinner rolls, repeatedly throughout the dinner, and would refold your napkin if you left the table. This was a nose dive to say the least. The food, however, was always excellent. We decided on this trip to have our departure dinner and birthday celebration for me at Roy’s in Bonita Springs instead. My husband didn’t realize you could dine outside there and, when we arrived, I asked if it were possible to be seated outside instead. Initially, it didn’t appear so, however, Aly, who greeted us, worked some magic and made it happen. We couldn’t have been more delighted. We had a party of four and everyone loved their meal. I had a TNT fish special that was outstanding; my husband had the ahi — a complete hit. Other dishes at the table included butterfish, which is always out of this world, as well as the macadamia nut mahi — always dependable and delicious. My husband was thrilled because, upon request, they serve bread. As it was my birthday, I was asked in advance what I would like and I ordered the pineapple upside down cake, which looked and tasted phenomenal. They even took a photo of us at the table, framed it and gave it to us. The table had been decorated for my birthday in advance. Such a special night! The service at this location was gold standard. It brought back memories of our past experiences at Roy’s various locations(Maui, Kauai, Oahu, Atlanta, Philadelphia, Orlando) which all had outstanding food and service. Going forward, our departure meals in southwest Florida will all be at the Bonita Springs location instead of Naples, where we can assuredly experience both outstanding food and service.

Roy’s «misoyaki butterfish» is my favorite seafood dinner, perhaps my favorite dinner period! Pricy, but worth every penny. I’ve been to Roy’s only a few times, as the closest one is Chicago, 150 miles from home. While on vacation in SW Forida I found the Roy’s in Bonita Springs and made reservations for my wife’s birthday. Roy’s did not disappoint. Relaxing atmosphere with very friendly and attentive staff. For first course, I had the wedge salad & my wife had I had the lobster bisque. Both very good, but the bisque was had more curry than she likes. For our main courses I had the duo of butterfish & ahi tuna, & my wife had the trio of butterfish, salmon, & mahi mahi. We both really enjoyed our meals. I’m glad our waiter recommended rare for the tuna. It was terrific… with a great sauce. Dessert was the melting chocolate soufflé. Again delicious. Now I need to plan a trip to Chicago for dinner, or better yet return to Bonita Springs.

I recommend to go to Hawaii… Ambience subpar, drinks were tasteless, pad thai tasted as if it was out of a can, the ahi tuna poke was incredible salty. I also added 3 shrimp to the pad thai which included an $ 11 addition to the bill. Dessert was very good, pineapple upside-down cake, though when severed the waitress giggled and said the ice cream typically does not look like this(the ice cream was shaped of a male reproduction part). I wish I could make this experience up…

Outside, looked quite fancy. Inside, not so much, but not bad. I was a bit worried. I took my wife out for the Valentine’s Day four course meal special. Most of the food was excellent. A few things, not good at all, but we were able to exchange them for something else, which turned out to be, well, excellent! Service was great(Jennifer). Surprisingly, a Caesar salad, which is standard almost everywhere, tasted different than«standard». It was perhaps one of, if not THE best, Caesar salad’s I have ever had. I am not sure what exactly was different, but keep it up! The dessert was incredible as well. Despite being high priced, I did enjoy it and would go back.

The food was excellent: both presentation and flavor were great. The the service was fine. However, I have celiac disease, the staff were aware and I repeatedly checked that dishes were gluten free. The dishes were definitely not gluten free and I(and my mother, who is also celiac) have been very sick all night and this morning — and I now have to travel all day. IMPORTANT: If you have a FOODALLERGY, stay away from this place. Other Keywords: Celliac, Coeliac, Alleries, Gluten Free

I am a frequent diner at Roys and the food and cocktails are always consistently good. When sitting at the bar in the winter time, bring a sweater, it’s fairly cold there.

A great spot. Very open and lively space with attentive and friendly staff. Great bar area with plenty of seats and an open kitchen area(i like to see the kitchen where my meal is made). I had a mixed green salad which was not over done and was a perfect portion. Nice light vinegar dressing. I had the meatloaf for dinner which was a perfect combo of sweet and spicy. A hearty portion, crispy crust. Mashed potatoes and green beans. Delicious! And i would be remiss if i didn’t mention the pineapple upside down cake. Holy Toledo that was good. Would go back now(and its 730 am)

The service is always top notch at Roys. Everyone is always friendly and attentive. We came here for the Aloha hour & the prix fixe menu. Aloha hour: we got to the restaurant at 500PM and the bar was packed. You have to sit in the bar area for the happy hour deals. There are a few high top tables that are included in the bar area. There was only one bartender, but she did an excellent job keeping up with everyone’s food and drink orders. I highly recommend the Ebi roll as an appetizer. Prix fixe menu: this menu is a steal, for $ 39 you get an appetizer, entrée, and dessert. The appetizers were shrimp shumai and a tomato salad. Both were okay, but a little underwhelming. The entrée was the fresh catch of the day, marlin, and it was superb! It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. For dessert the chocolate lava cake was on point.

Roy’s was a first class experience all of the way around! Come early for their Aloha hour where some of their signature drinks are almost ½ price, at $ 7 each. Although we did not eat at the bar they also had a fantastic bar bites menu! We had a mango mojito, Hawaiian martini and a sangria; all three were fabulous and strong to boot! Once we went to our table service was even better, our sever was awesome and attentive, yet not overbearing. They started us with edamame with sea salt and it was great, we shared the canoe for two and were very happy with that choice. The canoe for two comes with two of each; lobster potsticker, thai peanut chicken satay, vegetable spring roll, Korean ribs and a spicy tuna roll. Everything was delicious, our least favorite was the spring roll and they were still great! For dinner we had the filet and shrimp and the trio, which was three fish, once again we were thrilled. To end we had a pineapple upside down cake with coconut ice cream and a molten chocolate cake. We left amazingly pleased and will be back for sure!

Went here to bring some friends from out of town to a nice dinner. The waiter we had was great! All the other staff we ran into were very sweet and helpful. We had the eboi roll — amazing, and the canoe for two appetizers which features a bone in short ribs(almost better than the entrée), spring rolls, chicken satay

Great gluten free options here, along with fabulous service. I loved the butter fish! And the mocha chocolate dessert is to die for! The first time we went to a Roy’s was in Baltimore and we didn’t realize it was a chain. Now have recommended to several friends as a great option. Worth checking out if you like seafood.

This restaurant has been here for a long time but we just hadn’t gotten there. So we went. It is so good that I hate to think what I missed. I had the trio. Three different fish. I had never had butterfish and I didn’t have to commit to it. Each piece had a tasty little accompaniment. And I got a rice wedge, very cute and trimmed with seeds I think. Husband had halibut and it was great. Served on asparagus and something we couldn’t identify. Lobster pottstecker a were our appetizer. Good. But I’ll get something different next time. I had their 1988 cocktail and loved it. The chocolate volcano was over the top. Staff was great. It is a comfortable friendly place to enjoy good food.

Exceptional! Dinner for five was the highlight of our vacation! Beginning to end, one of the greatest meals we’ve had! Our server, Kiira, was attentive and cheerful throughout the evening. Appetizers of lobster potstickers, butterfish lettuce wraps and Szechuan ribs were excellent(ribs were fall off the bone tender, with a smoky spicy flavor that set the tone for the dinner ahead). My herb crusted halibut was the single greatest piece of fish I’ve ever had. My sons trio was equally good, as was my daughters butter poached lobster. Everything well seasoned, perfectly prepared, and totally satisfying! Chef Jason visited our table, allowing my family to meet and share laughs with this culinary genius! Two chocolate soufflés for dessert were heavenly– with a raspberry coulis and ice cream. A perfectly sweet ending to a perfect dining experience! I’ve never given 5 stars to any restaurant, and gladly do so for Roy’s! We can’t wait to come back!

My friends and I came to Florida looking for stone crabs — didn’t get any; just missed the season, darn :(Instead, we discovered something better… Roy’s misoyaki butterfish! This was better than finding money in your pocket. It was OMG delicious and is comparable to my fave butterfish dish back home in Mass(shout out to Blue Ginger). Dinner at Roy’s is definitely $$$ but so worth it. My recommendations: * Apps: szechuan spiced pork ribs, ahi poke tartare * Entrée: butterfish(obv) or the Roy’s Trio(salmon, butterfish, and mahi mahi) if you like variety * Dessert: pineapple upside down cake with toasted coconut ice cream, chocolate soufflé FAQs: — can’t decide b/t two entrees? they let my friend combine two into one! — good for groups? yep, and they’re happy to separate a large check by individual — special occasion? they’ll treat you like VIP! We were celebrating our two friends’ recent MBA grads and they printed special announcements and pre-inserted them into each of our menus, provided two desserts on the house, and two printed photographs of our group! Overall, my friends and I had a memorable dining experience and will definitely return the next time we’re in Bonita Springs. Just wish there was a Roy’s in New England…
