Kitchens By Ambiance

Terrible experience getting a quote for a kitchen remodel!
Ambiance was one of four remodelers we were getting a quote from. Designer/​salesman (Dan) claimed to be an expert with years of experience & was far superior to other remodelers = was not the case. His drawings & designs did not match up to what we requested, my wife was working & not in attendance so his standard reply was that was what your wife requested = again was not the case. Dan was not receptive to making changes, his drawings were proprietary (not available to bring home to check dimensions, etc.) Sign the contract with a deposit and I will provide you with a set of drawings to review but at that point if changes must be made there could be an upcharge or not be done. I already have two sets of drawings from other remodelers which were stamped «not to be copied or used without consent of originator» so I certainly did not need another set — I wanted to check his measurements for accuracy. Dan = «If other companies gave you drawings they are crazy & you are a jerk for asking for a set of mine.» Me = «Stop the name calling, even thou I am disabled I will come over the table & smack you. How do you expect me to describe to my wife the layout you are proposing without drawings?» Dan = «That’s your problem» This company is selling cabinets that are available at the big box stores so they should be offering superior design skills, etc. but that is not the case. Dan claims to have years of experience in design but based on our experience his claims are far from accurate plus he really needs a much improved personality to deal with the general public.
We will have NO PROBLEM choosing from the other three remodelers but be careful working with this designer/​salesman & company.
