Good little hang out! Stopped in yesterday the first time! Little noisy — the food is just typical bar food — but the chicken nachos where great! Fair prices for a local hang out!

We have visited this location twice in the last couple of weeks. The first time was on their Monday 25 cent wing night. The place was packed with standing room only seating. The wings were good but not great. This restaurant runs quite a few specials on different days of the week. Considering all the people that were in this location on that first Monday night, the staff did a great job of taking orders and waiting on the tables. It was totally different than our second visit about 10 days later. With friends we had stopped at a couple other restaurants for dinner on a Wednesday night. They were all packed with a long waiting list. However, Johnny Malloy’s had no line and lots of empty tables. After sitting at a table for a very, very long time and being snubbed by one server, we finally stopped another and asked if we were even going to get served. Actually, we were getting ready to leave. Evidently they were short staffed and he was going to get our server to take our order. She never returned. She walked by the table several times and each time turned her head the other direction. Sometimes an explanation is all a customer needs to understand. Instead he came back and took our order. He was very nice even though our order wasn’t quite right. He was also very apologetic for it and we liked him. The pizzas looked good but they were just okay. Our friend’s pizza had a lot of grease in the plate. Only two stars — the pizza wasn’t very good, we sat so long without our waitress even stopping to acknowledge we were there. The dark haired girl with the pony tail was so rude as she tried to ignore us and so unfriendly. Two stars instead of one because our male server was extremely friendly and nice. Food isn’t great and I couldn’t justify an «average» mainly because of the experience on our last visit. It’s a sports bar and the noise of the music was very, very loud.

½/16 if you want to watch the game and drink beer its a ok place, but don’t order any food. the chicken wings & fish and chips were the worst we’ve ever had. Plus expensive.

Tried this place out for the Buckeyes game on a Saturday night. We sat down and asked if we could have the tv in front of our table to be changed according to the game we went there to watch. Ordered a pitcher of beer, it was cold, thats the only thing this place had going for it. Service was complete garbage, and the food was mediocre at best. Skip this place unless your just going for beer, which is kinda expensive anyway. O and they never changed the station for us so we ended up missing the first half of our game, which we went there to watch.

Stopped in on a Sunday afternoon for lunch and the place was pretty packed, though there were still some tables on the patio. They had a big menu, lots of pizza, burgers, bar-type food. We tried the fried macaroni and cheese bites, which were the best thing we got, with a spicy buffalo sauce. We shared a burger and small pizza, both of which were a little above average. The toppings would completely slide off the pizza and the bbq bacon burger had a ton of sauce, though again, both were good. I think we’d go back to watch a game, which was why most people were there, since they have just about every sports game on at a time and TVs all over the restaurant/bar/patio — so you can always find your team! Service was very friendly.

Eleven of us went for a quick snacks and drinks after a round of golf at Bonita National. Bonita National is a new nearby golf course and community just open in 2015. Their Club House is still in the blue print! Hopefully will be ready soon next year? As we enter the pub, we love the Ohio States, University of Kentucky, and Cavs banners. Some of us feel right at home! We have burger sliders, fish and chips, Cod, Pepperoni Pizza, Chicken Quesadilla, and others. One person complained about the fried fish was too doughy but that is his standard answer for fish and chips in last 6 restaurants we visited. Meanwhile another person loved his fried Cod with Cole Slaw! Pepperoni Pizza was made with good sauces, with extra cheese and the Peperoni is great. I personally like thin crusted pizza. Otherwise this is a great pizza!
For some reason, the Chicken Quesadilla was coming out late. Rumor has it that the Mexican staff is not in yet! I can see that this is a great sports bar with great cool beers and very attentive staff. It is probably too early to pass any judgement on food. So for the beer, it is four stars, food at three stars. Need to come back to have a few pints and try more of their Pub food or Geppetto Pizza!

We ate there last Saturday with some cousins to watch the Univ of Kentucky men’s basketball team play Univ Fla in their season finale. I could see 14 flat screen TVs without turning my head! The room was filled with earnest Ky fans in blue and white. Our server was in her third day, was friendly and eager to please. She was familiar with the menu. Charlotte and I had fish and chips, with different sides. I thought the Cole slaw was a little limp. The local craft beer was good. Fish and chips were fine. Had a great time.

After 12 years in the local food and beverage industry I only have so much patience for the ignorance and lack of management presence of a restaurant this place had an entire crowd from midwest take over the restaurant and management just let them have their way with instead of strategically ordering their meals along with that the locals who go there and support the business the entire year are waiting over an hour and a half for a couple of fish tacos that when they finally made it to the table look like a couple of minced two pieces of tilapia maybe 4 Oz at best and they were way under a hundred and twenty degrees at best and if they were a temperature the quality and craftsmanship would be the equal to a roadside taco cart in the middle of route 66. The pico was 90⁄10 onions to tomatoes and a hint of cilantro«pathetic“I mean a place like this that make the kind of money that they make could at least afford to pay a manager that doesn’t have to be stuck in the kitchen cooking or pay to have a real kitchen of trained pros but that would be way too much to ask from the local restaurant owners in this area as many food and beverage professionals around this area will tell you .I will never be back to the stab lishment nor will my friends nor will anyone who asks me about it

Expected a fun Friday karaōke night(because that’s what the website says), but ended up with a D.J. that played only rap & hip-hop. The city’s rif-raf and creeps started coming around 11pm, so we left. This was not a place where you could enjoy yourselves — major disappointment on the nightlife circuit. Rough crowd only welcome.

Great happy hour prices and specials. Pizza n wings during happy hour you can’t beat. Summer specials offer dollar drafts and free pizza. Need I say more? Go for cold beer and good food plus a ton of TV’s that show games all the time. Huge outside bar but I dont care for the smoking so I always sit inside for the smoke free

Ok sports bar. Nothing special, but had good prices. The«wow» wings weren’t very spicy, but had an ok bite. The hot BBQ and garlic buffalo were ordinary. Even somewhat bland.

I’m here now and writing … Ugh… Visiting a friend on Bonita. I do love local pubs, not this one. Bartender doesn’t pay attention and not really friendly. I’m hungry but I’ll skip on food here, since I heard couple of different tables complaining. A lot of TVs, great if you are interested in games. Pretty good selection of beer.

Stopped in today for lunch. Emily showed us to our seat and we started with an order of deep fried mac-and-cheese. Deep fried anything is good in my opinion, and these were no exception. They were good! The lunch special of the day was cheeseburger sliders with a side for $ 7.99. So we ordered 1 of those and a Philly cheese steak with house made chips. When the food came I saw how big the sliders were. It was like eating a burger and a half. Good value. The Philly was good, lots of meat. On Monday nights from 5:30 — 9:30 they have .25 wings, with the purchase of a drink. That is the best deal on wings I have found in Bonita and can’t wait to get back over for them. Also everyday from 3:30 — 5:30 they have FREE pizza if you buy a drink!

After emailing between me and the owner Lori, she sends me a $ 15 gift card or so she says. I had it for about a month n decide to go use it and try malloys out again. I’m an idiot for trusting this establishment. I came during a busy rush and sat at the bar. The bartender was good, got my order and made sure I had a beer when I ran out. The wings finally were fresh, slightly overlooked, but not like they had been sitting under a heat lamp for an hour. When I go to pay SURPRISE that«gift card» was just some B.S pub club card some ridiculous reward card or something. Sure the food was decent this go around but the owner showed to be nothing more then a liar and a scam artist. I truly will never be back and will continue to spread the word via social media. I’ve never felt so stupid in my life but shame on me for giving a local business a shot! Bigger shame on the owner/manager Lori, she is a liar! And I have all the emails and my reciept showing that I basically paid for all the bad expierences here.

Great time and good cheap beer! Not a young crowd but that doesn’t mean it wasn’t fun!

I’m revising my review based on a friend’s positive experience recently and the fact that the owner tried in earnest to correct the issue, including changing the chips and salsa offered on the menu. Since I will not be able to try it again, I felt it was time to remove the 1-star review I initially left.

It’s a Bonita bar. It’s gross with Bonita trash serving and drinking. But if you want a drink at 12 am on beach road. Come get one. Just drink the bottles though. The drafts are sketchy.

Every see the movie«Blues Brothers»? There is a bar where The Band plays its first gig. It is called Bob’s Country Bunker. Concrete walls and floors. Bare bones and chicken coop wire to protect the band from the occasional beer bottle thrown at the entertainment. Well this is Bob’s Country Bunker without the the chicken coop wire. They do have Karaōke so maybe they do put the wire up after we left. Basic place with basic food. One of the better burgers I have had. The service was shall I say interesting? Our little server had a great smile. She was not worth a crap as a server but she did have that smile going her way. So in spite of the server good food always trumps crummy service. One little bit about the crowd. This place is on the edge of where I would take Mrs K. It has that biker bar thing going for it and the fisherman that just got off the boat look. They seem to like to paw the female servers. Not complaining just amazed it still goes on. At no time did I feel not safe just seemed my Polo shirt was way over dressed.

I’ve been to Malloys for lunch and happy hour especially if I’m in the area. This location on the corner has good access to parking. A patio for smoking and corn toss game out front. I like how the patio is setup clear with plenty of seats and tables and bar waitstaff service. Malloys is more sports bar than Irish pub. They have an extensive selection of draft beers. And a wall cooler of international beers. During happy hour they usually have trays of pizza up near the front hall entry. With a mix of visitors, regulars employed and retired. Numerous televisions for sports, and play makers for both trivia and Texas hold’em. As far as the food burgers and wings are OK. And pizza can be hit or miss. Depending on toppings. Bartenders and waitress’s are either attentive or busy depending who you go to and when. I think they have been open for 3 – 4 years and still are working out the system.
