I hurt my back moving, and being new to the area, I didn’t have a Chiropractor, so I looked to Unilocal for help. There were nice reviews for a Chiropractor husband/wife team in my area that specialized in Upper Cervical care. Since my problem was in my upper back. I made an appointment thinking I would get relief from an adjustment that day. I arrived for my appointment. I was welcomed by a very nice receptionist. The wife Chiropractor gave me a nice tour of the office and rooms. I finally made it to an examining room and received my «muscle tension» scan(semg) and Thermal Scan given by the wife Chiropractor. Then I met with the husband Chiropractor and he went over the results of the scans and then I had my x-rays taken. I asked if I would receive and adjustment today, he said«no» and that he needed to review the x-rays first. I was led back to the desk and discussed insurance coverage for x-rays etc. and made an appointment for my next visit, which would include an adjustment to relieve the pain. The said to allow 90 minutes for the next visit. I arrived for my 2nd appointment, still in pain and looking forward to finally having an adjustment. I received a friendly welcome from the receptionist and was given a referral form, so they could contact my family and friends. I noticed the chairs were set up differently than before. There were two of us in the waiting room and the husband Chiropractor came out and greeted both of us. He gave us a 30 minute presentation on the benefits using a Chiropractor. «Hello, we are already here.» Wow, that was a waste of a Doctor’s precious time. He asked if anyone had any questions, I said«yes, I do. Will I have an adjustment today?» He said«Yes you will!» We laughed, and I thought to myself, good, because I think I’ve already got way too much time invested and no relief in sight! Anyway, I was finally led to a room by the husband Chiropractor to go over my x-rays with me. Upon review, it revealed that I had problems with the curvature of my neck, but he didn’t say anything about my upper back where I’m having the severe pain. Ok, here is where things went really bad, really fast. He said that it would take 44 visits over 12 months and 5 progressive assessments. Bottom line it would cost me $ 2,030 above what my insurance would cover, and I have pretty good insurance. He said I could pay in full now and receive a 15% discount. I couldn’t hide my shock as to what he was telling me, he kindly pointed out that we could set up a monthly payment plan of $ 169.16, all I had to do was to sign on the dotted line! I felt like I was sitting in a timeshare sales pitch or being sold a used car. It was the strangest experience. At that point, I realized there was no way I was going to sign that paper and that I could no longer trust these very nice doctors. I felt like I had been«had» and was incredibly disappointed. I left without an adjustment. The office is great and the doctors are very kind. He did give me the names of two«traditional» chiropractors. I did not go to either of those. If you have the money to receive treatment here, they will probably take very good care of you — although I wouldn’t know. It was a complete waste of time, nearly 4 hours. The next day I went back to Arc of Life to get my x-rays and received treatment from another Chiropractor, Dr. Douglas Halsey in Bonita Springs! Dr. Halsey is fantastic and affordable, I would highly recommend him.

I don’t really know what to give for a rating. The guy was friendly and professional. But I had purchased a Groupon thinking that he looks at the entire spine, and in reality he focuses on the top two bones only. Not what I expected.
