Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. My husband and I ordered hot and sour soup, one of favorite items in every other Chinese restaurant, it was SWEET and virtually inedible. The garlic chicken I ordered was tasteless, the Mongolian beef was more like a beef in fish sauce. The egg rolls and crab Rago on had the taste and texture of frozen and then fried food. Service was poor. I felt like I was putting the guy out when I asked for some sauces to add some flavor to my dish. He had no response when I told him the soup was no good. Overall not good on any count.

First and last visit for lunch. We were the only people in the place. Food was average and not much flavor. I normally like Chinese

I’ve been eating here since they opened and were next to the D&B Supply on Glenwood(it was an Ernst store back then). Not that this place was the bomb, there just wasn’t much in the way of Chinese food in the 80’s in west Boise after New China closed at Cole/Ustick. I’ve stuck to the D5 combo, which is the mandarin chicken with fried rice and I sub egg roll for the chow mein. Nothing else I’ve tried was all that great except for the won ton wor. Their lunch buffet is probably the smallest I’ve ever seen. The décor is stuck in the late 80’s and the same Budweiser Christmas pop-up ads have adorned the tables 24⁄7 for the last five years. Nice people, though.

Horrible! We were served on cafeteria plates with dividers. Crab rangoon was really gross. Won ton soup and eggrolls were just ok. Unfortunately, the sweet and sour sauce burned my tongue in that hard to get rid of sour way. We could have had Yen Chings downtown and I wish I canceled our dinner order after the appetizers. I regret the $ 30 spent there.

I second the opinion of canned Chinese food. Do not eat here!

I love coming in for the lunch specials. Mandarin Chicken and Broccoli Beef are excellent.

This is a cute little chinese restaurant next to the northgate theater. There isn’t much in the area, so it was always between this place and the mongolian grill a couple store fronts down. This place was pretty standard, nothing great nothing bad. I recommend their lunch specials. They were reasonable priced, and very quick service. They are used to people coming in for a quick bite to eat before a movie. I recommend the potstickers, mooshu vegetables, and the jade’s special noodles. Also great for take-out.
