Great place. Awesome beer and delicious food. Try the poutine fries. A mazing! So good!

I absolutely love this place. The food is wonderful, the service is friendly, and the beer! My boyfriend and I are big on local brew pubs and this one is always on the top of our list for a pint and a bite. Their snake bites are a great app if you’re just visiting for a drink. There are a lot of events and promotions that they run, so check with your server to see what they are currently running.

The Edge has good beer, they have a great wine pour, and the food is yummy. Great place for a glass of wine or beer, a hummus platter, and some good music when they have their live bands. Taco Tuesday is also delicious and well priced!

First visit and I’m in love! Great service, food, and beer. The cheese curd apetizer was out of this world. The«edge fries«are beyond exciting. Beer selection is great and full of options to fit every taste. Hands down my new favorite treasure valley place.

Came here for Happy Hour, and was very impressed with their wings! Their happy hour deal for food is $ 2 off any appetizer. So we settled for 10 wings for $ 12, not super cheap but good. We asked for half ginger habanero and half honey sriracha. My husband loved the ginger habanero(he likes spicy), and I really liked the honey sriracha. My husband had their pale ale. He said it was good. I made a mistake of getting a beer cocktail. I had one that had orange flavoring in it. I would not order it again. It tasted like Emergen-C mixed with warm lemonade. My mistake, I shouldn’t have ordered a beer cocktail. Next time I will stick with beer. Beers during their HH are $ 3 a piece. We will be back for those wings!

The food and beer was excellent, but the server was not friendly and made us feel like we were an inconvenience to her. She didn’t even say thank you to us after she gave us our check. She didn’t smile or even greeted us. I will not come back because of the horrible service!

I had the beer cheese soup and the Korean BBQ tacos, both were excellent and full of flavor. Also sampled 9 of their beers, pretty good beers, the edge lager American style rice beer is too light for me, the squash buckler pumpkin porter has some interesting flavors but not my cup of tea(or glass of beer). Everything else was very tasty, good beers all across.

Boise is almost becoming a mini-Portland with all the myriad brewpubs, but not all of them are created equal. This sort of hipsterish place leaves a lot to be desired, both in ambiance and décor, but perhaps especially in food and drink. They do aim high, I’ll give them that. Appetizers were the best thing. Actual entrée, their take on a Reuben, sounded great, but the execution was a mess and holy gastrointestinal distress afterwards. Beer was ok; I’ve had better, had worse. Operating hours are very strange here as well and this is not a place I’ll be looking at hitting up again, despite pretty decent, if a bit ambivalent service.

So delicious! The edge fries are always the first thing we order and they never disappoint. The Mac and cheese varieties are always amazing and unique and will definitely warm your belly! The beer tiramisu is one of my all time favorite desserts. Oh and the beer… Great variety!

Good brewery and fantastic food. Very much enjoyed the Obligatory double IPA with my Grown-Up Grilled Cheese.

I vacillate between feeling this place is three stars and four stars. I believe that most locals, especially those who consider this a neighborhood spot, consider this place to be a five-star establishment. Thus, my rating of four stars. I think both the food and beer need improvement, but Edge has also shown improvement across the board. When we first came here, we abhorred the beer. Since then, their recipes and/or consistency seem to have improved. They also released Hop Candy and one other delicious IPA that seriously rocked, so I can finally say that I truly appreciate some of their brews. I also feel Obligatory has gotten better or has grown on me. Recently, we were here for happy hour and were kind of blown away. What should have been a $ 45 bill turned out to be about $ 30. Their 14-piece hot wings, normally $ 16(and way too rich for my blood) was only $ 8 and was a very easy-to-justify expense. All of the beers dropped by a buck each, which was also unexpected and awesome. Turned a potential holy-shit-why-did-we-do-that bill into, hey-we-should-happy-hour-here-more-often kind of a bill.

This was a super fun place! Odd location but worth finding it! The beer was AMAZING, we got the darkest dark. The food was great! We went with my grandparents and parents and there wasn’t a single thing we didn’t like. Love the layout and decoration, love the staff, and just over all had a great time.

My partner and I came this evening for burgers and beer and left very full and very happy. We sampled several beers before we decided on the lemon wheat and habenaro cream. Both were delicious but I hoped for a little more bite from the chili beer. While we waited for our edge burgers we were served house BBQ chips, still warm and sooooo good. The burgers were exactly as we’d ordered them(we both had special requests) and the sides(chili and coleslaw) were incredible. The staff was just as great as the food. Very attentive and seemed happy to help. Despite it being a busy Friday night we didn’t feel like we waited long for anything. Definitely come check it out!

Last week was the 3rd time I’d been to EDGE and I always give a new place 3 tries before I make a decision on going back. I must say they passed with flying colors! From the surprisingly good food to the exceptional beer and the service in between, I have nothing but good things to say about EDGE! The atmosphere and ambiance is totally what you would expect from a hole in the wall brewery. My wife and I happened to go in during one of their weekly trivia nights(which was a nice surprise that we will be planning for in the future!) and the friendly feeling of all the patrons and employees was palpable! Some Unilocalers have complained about the service, and to them I say: give people a break! We’re all human and unless the service in continually and blatantly abysmal(which I’ve only found at very few establishments) then give people a break! Instead of writing negative reviews and acting grumpy, talk to the manager and express your concerns. If you still get poor service then you will be justified in your opinion, otherwise give people another chance! I guess what this review comes down to and what most people expect from a brewery is the BEER! Whether you’re a beer newbie and like to stick to lighter wheats, ales, and pilsners, or your a beer aficionado and can’t go without your IPAs and Imperial Stouts then this is the place for you! The wide selection and helpful staff make choosing a delicious beer simple and easy! Can’t go wrong at EDGE!

Food is yummy, their beer even yummier. Service is friendly, accommodating and prompt. Their location is a little strange being right in the middle of a bunch of office parks — so yeah, a little off the beaten path but a worthy destination for an easy night out.

I really love the idea of this place. It feels like a hole-in-the-wall place, hidden away between a number of different business offices. The menu is varied from classic pub food to more contemporary selections. Everything I’ve eaten here has been very good, fresh, ripe veggies and a good balance of flavors. I really enjoy their cob salad and BLT Gyro. The candied bacon is delicious; sweet and a little spicy. That said, service has been hit or miss for me. Sometimes it’s difficult to get the server’s attention to get refills and such. They’re always pleasant, but not necessarily in a big hurry to help. I guess I would say, try this place out when you don’t have to be somewhere after your meal. The food really is good, and I will likely keep coming back to try new things. I’m not a big beer drinker but my friends say the beer is quite good as well.

Things are little hit and miss here. The good: Their beer cheese soup: Quite frankly, amazing. Their chips: delicious. Their«experimental» brews: LOVE this aspect. The Meh: The peanut butter bacon burger: Sounded interesting, just wasn’t that good. Fried Pickles: just not a big fan. I really liked the place, my wife didn’t like the vibe. We went over there late another evening. I had 1 drink, and we split an appetizer. It’s a little harder sell to her now. I think it could be a great place to pick up some soup and relax with a drink with friends after work. I think the worst part about this place, is the location. I tend to think about where to eat by what is located in the area. I tend to forget that Edge is the«mall region». If you are a beer fan, this would be a 5 star. If you are just for the pub food, it is between a 3 – 4. If you like soup, it is probably a 6 star for the beer cheese soup alone. I’ll say that the service is a little lacking as well. I’ve never had as bad experience as what others have said on Unilocal, but it is generally not as snappy as I would prefer. The one time we sat at the bar, the bartender was very on the ball, though. UPDATE — 1÷17÷2015: Got the wife to go back, after the peanut butter bacon burger debacle. She ordered the grown up grilled cheese, and wow, it was delicious. Again, I had the beer cheese soup, which continued to be delicious. We also had an appetizer of fries, and they were in the good category. On paper, it sounds great, but it doesn’t really live up to what it sounds like. I think they do need to put more bacon on items they have the candied bacon.(except for the soup) Dinner was good enough to go from 4 to 5 stars this time.
