I enjoy the Café Capri on Vista, very tasty drinks. I was in the State Street area and decided to try them out… what a mistake! First of all… very very SLOW service. Super long wait with only 2 cars in line. I ordered my drink at the drive thru mic, then had to repeat my order at the window… and they still made it wrong… not to mention it tastes horribly bitter… nothing like the drinks on Vista… and it was just an Americano… how could they screw that up(and take so long doing it?) Fortunately there are alot of coffee shops in Boise, and Dutch Brothers never lets me down.

This place always takes 10+ minutes to make a drink. I won’t go back. Usually people who stop for coffee on their way to work can’t sit and wait forever.

First I would like to say I generally love Capri coffee. The last two times I have been to this location have been horrible! About a month ago I pulled into the drive through I waited about the 5 minutes at the mic and nobody came so I pulled up to the window. The drive through window was wide open and I couldn’t see anyone inside. I searched for about 5 more minutes about to call 911 and the manager came running out of a closed office. So that was fine one mistake we ordered our drinks but the manager didn’t know how to make them they were just gross! So today I give them another try I order at the mic and pull up. The kid at the window had forgotten my order so I told him again paid and gave him a nice tip. When the drinks came they were all different sizes than what I had ordered. Mind you I had told him twice. So I told him the drinks were the wrong size he raised his voice at me and told me he charged me for the sizes he gave me so that was too bad. I told him I would pay the difference if he could fix it he said no. He told me he had customers inside so if I wanted it fixed I would have to come inside and wait in line behind them and pay for a new drink. I told him I was in a hurry and I needed it fixed now. Then he told me goodbye and closed the window. I will never be going to capri again. I will drive across town for dutch brothers kind service!

Solid four star coffee house! This is probably the place I go to most often for a mocha on the go. Decent coffee and prices, combined with always great customer service makes Caffe Capri a solid choice for a caffeine fix.

Caffe Capri is located right on State Street, occupying the previous Moxie Java location(though, much has changed since they made the switch from Moxie Java to Caffe Capri). What I love: They have a drive-thru. Seriously, sometimes I need my caffeine on the fly. Call me overly American, but I love the convenience of satisfying my coffee craving while never leaving the lovely warmth of the drivers seat. They have the most inventive holiday drink menu in the valley. Hands down. Egg nog lattes. Pumpkin Spice lattes. A multitude of inspired Christmas-y mochas and white mochas to choose from(one, in particular – called the Roasted Reindeer, I think – has a taste that’s reminiscent of a warm slice of pecan pie). Truly… it’s a must stop before any holiday centric activity. The service is not only quick, but friendly as well. There is one particular barista – a gentleman – who is always good for a friendly chat while he brews and steams you a cuppa brilliance. The atmosphere – it’s a quaint, quiet little coffee shop… great for enjoying a cup of coffee over your morning paper. What could be a little better: Their coffee can be a bit on the weak side. This HAS seemed to improve since the switch from Moxie to Caffe Capri – but worth a mention. Get to it!
