I received a brochure in the mail advertising their grand re-opening in October. The gym had been recently renovated and was offering deals on new memberships, so I stopped by. I had been looking to join a gym for the 3 months that I would be living in Boise, and this one was not only convenient to where I live, but also had convenient hours — 24⁄7 — which was important as I work random shifts. The new membership deal applied only to year long commitments, which I somewhat expected, but the owner was able to help me out and gave me what I thought was a very reasonable rate. He was also able to find a used key fob so I didn’t have to drop a lot of money on a new one. As for the gym itself, it is clean and odor free with fresh paint and new carpeting. There is nothing worse than the smell of dirty socks when you’re trying to work out. The large windows help prevent any claustrophobia that can sometimes occur at generic gyms. It has all the cardio and circuit machines you need, as well as an extensive free weight section. I do wish they had a 35# barbell and not just the standard 45#, as my hands are on the smaller side and it can be tricky to get a good grip for lifting. I also wouldn’t mind a straight pull up bar, rather than all angled ones, but otherwise it has everything I need. They have a separate room with non-carpeted flooring for«fitness on demand» classes, or for any use if no one has reserved it. There are a couple of changing rooms as well as two unisex bathrooms with showers. Members appear courteous, putting things back where they were found and taking the time to wipe down any used equipment. It is flu season, after all. To top it off, it’s not a meat market! All in all, this location of Anytime Fitness has great customer service, helpful staff, a welcoming atmosphere, easy to find parking, and all the amenities you need in a gym. I would recommend a visit, whether you’re in town for a quick trip or a part of the more permanent Boise community. It is probably the best deal in town.

The space will be undergoing some upgrades and cosmetic changes to freshen up the place. New carpet, upgraded bathrooms and wall coverings. I believe some of the equipment will also change as well as some of the layout. All good stuff. Expect the gym to be closed for a week end of September. I’m really looking forward to the new changes! All good.

We love the«fitness on demand» classes! They really work your body without the cost of a bootcamp or personal trainer. The gym is clean and people are friendly.

Love this gym. Let me give you the break down of why. 1. Clean! Nothing is worse than a gym that you feel has been used and abused. This place feels like new. 2. Friendly. Staff(Phil) was great at showing me around and helping get a free trial. Way better than most places, usually have to pay for a day pass(8 – 10 $). Who just gives stuff away anymore? 3. 24 hours. It’s hard to find just the right time to exercise. With work, family and sometimes I’m just not motivated at 5AM. Have the option to go day or night and be on my own time frame is perfect. I would highly recommend this gym with holidays around the corner this is the perfect jump start I needed for my news resolution.

First off, I’m not huge gym guy… But Anytime Fitness on State Street is spectacular. Close to home, close to work, the place is very clean and the people that staff the gym during the day are super nice and helpful if you need it. If you don’t, they leave you alone. I wouldn’t hesitate recommending Anytime Fitness to anyone who is trying to stay fit and has a hard time finding a regular time to workout.
