Paul couldn’t have said it better! Great experience and Willie is awesome. The ride is so peaceful and the views are amazing! Willie sets you up with a horse that is right for you. Be sure to wear pants and maybe long sleeves(I know hard during Texas summer months), but you do go through some brush so trust me your skin will be grateful. I had spirit(horses name) She is great for a beginner and if you want to go slow. I had to give her a couple kicks to keep up with the group. The other riders had Anna(what a beauty) and Red(could’ve sworn he had a stride, also beautiful). Thanks Willie and Spirit for a wonderful ride and thank you God for the gorgeous day and watching over all of us.

Beautiful and Scenic Trail Ride through the Texas Hill Country! Willie is an amazing cowboy who’s stories and experiences will keep you entertained. His horses are beautiful and broken in for all skill levels. It was an unforgettable and unique experience that will not be forgotten. I highly recommend Stricker Trail Rides and will be back soon!

My 6 year old daughter has recently wanted to try riding a horse, so when Grandpa was in town recently, we decided this would be a good activity for the family. On a Sunday afternoon, we signed up for the 3pm trail ride. When we showed up, there was another party of 3 people — so all told there were 7 of us — for the hour and half ride through the Texas Hill Country. This is run by Willie(Stricker I am guessing). He keeps several horses on the undeveloped property. One interesting item is that most of the horses used to be race horses. I rode a horse that was born in Kentucky as a son of Unbridled. Sadly, «Legalize»(my horse) never made a race due to a lame leg. It is nice that Willie takes care of these aging superheros. He breaks them all in himself and takes great pride in sharing them with customers. Willie led us on a winding trail ride through lots of hills populated with cedar trees. In fact, the cedar trees have overgrown the trail in many places, so be prepared for a bit of «tree love». This is not a ride if you like to run the horses yourself — Willie scolded me when I broke the line. Apparently my horse doesn’t get along with some of the other horses. All in all, it was a good ride and my daughter took to riding like it was her bike. Actually, she rode her horse«Anna» better than she rides her bike!
