Had a similar experience with bad customer service. There were 5 – 6 people in the overly packed store when a plate fell off a shelf. The owners came running over, causing a dramatic scene and proceeded to glare at me. I was a good 10′ from the shelf and had nothing to do with it but it’s easier to blame the only young person in the store. Their clucking and huffing about the ugly broken plate was enough for me to leave and never go back.

We visited and bought from five Boerne stores today. Jac’s was the only one we felt all items were overpriced, cliché, made in China, and had bad customer service. The female owner ran over when a wooden piece was knocked over after it was placed on the edge of a round table. Like others have said, this place is packed floor to ceiling and not in a good way. She rushed over and demanded we pay for the item. I tried to explain that the item was precariously set and broke based on craftsmanship. She refused to listen, demanded money in front of other customers and her husband(I’m guessing) deferred to her and refused to talk to us about the item. So we bought a 54 $ dollar piece of wood screwed into a black particle board base at Jac’s today(see pics). Congrats to Jac’s for their con artist skills without having a «you break it you bought it» sign.

Look up! This gift store has items from floor to ceiling, as well as many items suspended from the ceiling. For Juliska fans(beautiful glassware, tableware, and lamps), there is a large selection of everyday patterns like Berry & Thread, as well holiday patterns. If you need a hostess gift, there are many cute dish towels, fragranced candles, and small décor. Although you can find some items inexpensively, most of the inventory tends to be higher end.

We wandered into this little gift shop walking around the Boerne shopping district. I’d write more about it, but the apple-cinnamon potpourri smell prompted me to leave pretty quickly. I’m just not that into potpourri. But if you like that kind of thing, this is definitely your place. Lots of colorful and upscale knick-knacks and souvenirs to browse around.
