I spent $ 9 here for a sushi combo and it was basically inedible. The fish was warm and it tasted like it had already spoiled. While I thought I was getting the special treatment as he was making my food for me from scratch, I realize know that must not sell much sushi(I.e. This fish doesn’t turn over enough to stay fresh.) I will never eat here again nor do I recommend it to others.

Every time I though I was out, those samples pull me back in. When you go into any food court at any mall, the Chinese/Japanese vendors dominate handing out chicken samples on toothpicks, which inevitably draw you in to buy their food. Tobu is a both a Chinese and Japanese food vendor in the food court at the Town Center. The food at both of these vendors is exactly what you’d expect, just mediocre. And even then, every time you eat one of those samples you can’t help, but to be drawn in by that taste. Now I’m not saying that the sample is the only thing is good here, if you enjoy the food court Asian taste, go for it, but my advice is enjoy the sample while it lasts and move on. I always fall for it and order a meal, usually the Chicken Teriyaki from the Japanese side, which is what I recommend the most. The cost for a Chicken Teriyaki meal is almost $ 8.00! Yikes, these food court stalls are hiking up their prices to levels that are getting out of hand. Plus, we added extra chicken which was another $ 1.59, because the amount they give you in the regular portion is just not enough. Tobu is food court 101, an oldie, but a goodie. Pick your own commonly used phrase, because this place is a staple here and if you ever need a quick meal, this is a decent spot for it. Food(B-), Pricing(C-), Atmosphere(B), Service(B-)
