This is now one of my absolute favorite restaurants in South Florida. It is one of the few places that does not overly salt their food. I come from a long line of Italian cooks and their Italian food is authentic and fabulous. Their pizza is outrageous. They use fresh, high quality ingredients. They have interesting soda too. We had the birch beer soda, which I highly recommend. For dinner recently, we had gnocchi and escarole&beans, both of which were excellent, authentic and not overly salted. I wish they weren’t so pricey but that is everywhere pretty much.

If you’ve been to Italy, you’ll appreciate this place! Good good, Italian style pizza.

I like this place. Friendly people and a neighborhood atmosphere. Salads are enough for two(and we like a lot of salad), making them a good value. We also love pizza with thin crust and recommend you eat in here to get the full effect of the pizza’s crispy underside. The first time we got carryout and it was pretty soggy when we got home. Sauce is nice and slightly sweet, as it should be. Attentive service and a good experience overall. Would be happy to eat here anytime.

First off pizza tastes frozen, which makes no sense. Second the garlic bread tasted uncooked. And third one of the waiters(didn’t catch his name) actually second guessed me paying for my takeout, which I had already handled with the bartender. He actually handed me my food and wouldn’t let go, as if I was going to steal the food. Next time maybe don’t try and embarrass your customer and you would get our business again. What a joke.

Hit or mis hit good miss service is fair management not good. Kids that don’t know how to manage. Cooks can’t even make pasta 12 $ for a kids lunch portion cold bread manager insulted me for his lack of no how to run a restaurant. Message to the owner. Contact I might call a lawyer. Your idiot manager embarrassed me.

Brought 8 people on Saturday night server Susan was great. Never an empty glass, very attentive to our group(3 generations). Had the veggie bomb pizza(recommended) and skirt steak salad(healthy portion). I will go back again, after the snow birds leave.

Ordered a simple take-out pizza that was borderline RAW. Had to take it home and bake it in the over for 40 minutes. Won’t be going back here ever again. Add it to the list of disappointing So. Fla pizzas.

I have been a fan of this place for a long time but last time I was here we were treated like trash. We sat at the bar and order salad and pizza. We got salad promptly but had to wait for pizza for 50 min until I finally asked to check on our order. Turns out our order wasn’t even entered until 15 min ago! Manager said it would take another 25 min! Really? An hour and a half for pizza? No apologies were given either I guess we didn’t look important enough to apologize to

«White Clam, Peppers, Bacon, and Garlic specialty pizza with an arugula salad and a lager, please!» Unexpectedly delicious. Here was the scenario — I was hungry, had no plans for the evening, and was in the neighborhood. Stopped in sat at the bar and asked the bartender what was good. The recommendation threw me, but I went with it and what a good idea. Ate the whole pizza and salad and ordered another beer. Stop by and embrace a salty, garlicy, and slightly spicy thin pizza. The arugula salad was also delicious and I am perfecting my on mimicked version at home — citrus, shaved parm, boom!

Great oven«burned» thin crust pizza. Big, loud with visible ovens. Feel like you’re part of the process. Strong Caesar salad to start. Staff usually pretty good. Thin crust pizza. Love the standard pizza with just cheese or adding in spinach(I’m a vegetarian). Often get the white spinach and garlic pizza. Fantastic with good strong flavor. Crust is great. Seating outside too. Nice size bar and good set up. Been here a bunch and keep coming back. The clam bacon pizza is a top product too. Just depends on your tastes.

Worst take out experience for the 3rd time. We are done! No more expensive $ 48. Takeout bills for terrible pizza.(I guess it was pizza) To begin, we ordered a white clam pizza which toppings were added that are not on that pizza and do not go with it flavoring wise either. The other was a basic pepperoni and cheese. It was awful!!! My stomach has been upset all night. Hope others see this for their future reference and experience!

Nick’s is my favorite place to get pizza. I haven’t tried anything else on the menu because every time I go, I can’t help but get the pizza. It’s always super fresh and usually ready pretty quickly. Every time I’ve been here, my waiter was always friendly and attentive. Their seating outside is so nice and I love the big table/couch areas for large groups. Overall, a nice atmosphere with great pizza!

Unfortunately, we had delivery tonight and it arrived very black on the bottom and the pizza was so soggy. I’m not sure if this was because of delivery, but it was completely inedible. Very disappointing. Burnt to a crisp. We had 2 separate pizzas. One plain and one with topping. They were both the same quality. Sadly it went into the trash.

Family wanted to try this place. Here is a bullet-point review of this restaurant: — Atmosphere — great. Very beautiful restaurant. Lovely interior. — Service — good. Not great. But serviceable enough. Our waitress was friendly, and refilled glasses of iced tea and water quickly, without having to be asked to do so. — Salad — Cesar Salad was awesome. Fresh shaved parmesan cheese. Italian white anchovies. Absolutely great. — the other food was just«meh.» The white clam pizza was tasteless. I would say it needed garlic. But it needed more than that. It lacked all taste. The regular pizza was the same way. Just«meh.» My wife ordered a chicken parm sub that was equally as tasteless. The big thing that turned me off to this restaurant, that would make me counsel against going, is the bar — one half of the bar sits inside the restaurant. The other half sits outside the restaurant. The side of the restaurant is open to the outside at the bar. People can sit outside at the bar and smoke cigarettes. And the cigarette smoke just filters into the restaurant, and it smells bad, even if you are sitting far away, on the other side of the establishment. I would recommend that the owners close this«open» bar, so that non-smoking patrons do not have to smell, and inhale, disgusting cigarette smoke.

THEATMOSPHERE I can never get a good read on the atmosphere here. It sometimes seems like a family place, other times it seems old/stuffy and at times kind of trendy. Different feel, each time I come. The bottom line here is, don’t come for the atmosphere, because it is a wildcard. THESERVICE Always seems reasonable. They won’t blow you out of the water with their friendliness, but you get what you ordered and served in a reasonable amount of time. THEFOOD The best part, which it should be. I grew up in CT and feel like I am an expert on CT-style pizza. There are a few famous pizza places in CT like Pepe’s Pizza in New Haven and Mystic Pizza(in Mystic). As far as something called«New Haven Style» pizza, I have never heard of it, nor have any of my friends that still live in CT. I can say, there is a CT-style pizza that is clearly different, than NY Style and different that any pizza I ever had in MA. If you want to take a CT-style pizza(or New Haven Style I guess), then this is the place. The crust is thin. Crispy on the bottom and just barely cooked on the top. Your hands get black from the char on the crust, just as they should. The cheese is stringy and difficult to separate the slices. The seasoning is kind of a mystery, but is clearly CT-style that I grew up on. If you come here to eat a NY pizza this is not your place. If you from Florida and think the pizza here is good, this place will change your mind, or you will hate it. I can’t tell you which, you need to try. Garlic bread is good too and you should probably try it. Beer selection is kind of lame. SUMMARY When I want a little slice of home, I come here for a slice. If you haven’t tried a CT-style pizza, you should. Just as you should try a NY-style and Chicago-style pizza. Try ‘em and see which ones you like. Note: There are actually two types of CT-Style pizza. The Italian pizza(which is this) and the Greek pizza. I have yet to find a Greek CT-style pizza in FL.

I have been here many times, many times but today our service is very lacking. Lacing to the point of beyond poor. As a party of three sitting at the bar we asked for two menusI order food. The bartender dropped off one. Then one person in the party ordered and the bartender left. We had to call her back to order for the other two. Yes as you can expect after the second person ordered she left again. Not giving the third person in the party time to order. It’s okay I’ll spend and tip elsewhere. Not to mention the burnt crust So when I leave you the 10% or less tip. It wasn’t about me being cheap but you not providing service. If you think you were too busy the. Add employees.

Who? What? How? I am so confused on how anyone would like their pizza here. This restaurant was right by our hotel so we jumped on Unilocal and decided it would be a good spot to have some beer and pizza. After looking over the menu we ordered out of the Pizza Flat section. This included the Artichoke, Roasted Peppers, & Pecorino Flatbread and the Skirt Steak Flat. I am not sure if it was because we ordered from the Flatbread section instead of getting a Pizza but both of the crusts were beyond belief. Soggy– Wet– Flavorless are all words to describe this ridiculous crust! It wasn’t even cooked all the way through and all the toppings just kept weighing down the pizza to the point you couldn’t even hold it up without holding the whole pizza slice with two hands. The flavor of both wasn’t much at all but I will say the Skirt Steak was better than the Artichoke Flat. Our bartender started out great until she started talking to her friend/coworker that was also sitting at the bar about things customers should not be listening to and ignoring us afterwards. Which lead us to just wanting to get out of this restaurant as quick as we could. An unwelcoming and horrible dining experience that won’t happen again.

I have to update my review. I have now been to Nick’s, no less than 4 times, mainly b/c it’s right by Cigar Bar and after one has a few cocktails, one wants Italian food. one=me PS. While I still feel they are WAY too expensive for lunch, they are right on target for dinner time. I have taken numerous pix so go take a look. We typically sit outside, share a pasta or a pizza and a salad. It’s great, service has really picked up as well. So this place gets a thumbs up from me for DINNER, lunch they still need to work on pricing.

I shared the cappellini four cheese sauce angel hair pasta and a cheese pizza with my husband. We were going to order a large pizza until our server told us that the pizzas are super big and we probably wouldn’t be able to finish the medium. He was right. We ordered the medium and ended up talking half of it home. My husband and I had a difference of opinion about the food. He thought it was wonderful. He loved the cappellini pasta. I thought it was just okay. My husband loved the pizza, especially the thin crust. I thought the pizza was good, but I would have liked more cheese. The service was very good. Our server was friendly and went out of his way to be helpful. My only complaint is that I had to ask for bread to go with the pasta. Our server probably thought that we didn’t want bread, since we got the pizza. The manager came by several times to check on us. I’d like to give this place another try. Next time, I’ll order a different entrée and maybe get extra cheese on the pizza.
