Had a great experience with Bayburg Financial. I was purchasing a home with a 100% V.A. mortgage. All the dates, were on time and the amount required for closing was pretty much what I was told when we began the process. It’s always a little stressful when purchasing a house, except in this case the mortgage process was the best part of it. Go elsewhere for your mortgage needs unless you like to be cheated out of thousands of dollars in closing costs. After I got the initial estimate to close I contacted my broker and asked why my closing costs were so high. He assured me that one of his assistants made a mistake and he sent me a new estimate with much lower closing costs.
Fast forward a couple of weeks and after asking at least 15 times for our final costs we finally got it out of them as we were driving to sign final docs. We turned around and went home when the number they quoted was curiously close to the original estimate. I asked the broker about the revised estimate and he said «what revised estimate». When I got home and emailed the revised estimate to him he said «yeah, but you didn’t sign it». My mistake for not signing it but I made a bigger mistake by selecting Bayburg Financial in the first place. I have done over 12 mortgage loans in my life and Bayburg Financial takes the cake as the «worst ever».
