My 4-star review is primarily for the food. I highly recommend the ribeye sandwich, with like cheese and onions and mushrooms. Delicious. They have reliably good food for a reasonable price in a relaxed atmosphere without the weird commercial-culture ultra-chain experience of a Chili’s or 54th Street. I’ve never had bad service here. The nightlife is gross, and sometimes they BLARE obnoxious music like it’s a club, so no one can hear anyone without yelling directly into their eardrum. It’s the worst. But if you want to go somewhere to catch a game and get nasty on a steak sandwich in your sweats and still feel classier than the other patrons, this’ll due. Clancy’s.

Seems like a good laid-back bar. I giving it 3 stars for now, till I eat the food and hang here for a while.

It was a good olé time at Clancy’s on St Paddy’s Day! The wife and I and the inlaws started out the evening with some green beer of course and a basket of fried pickles which were delicious. I then switched to Black and Tans(Guinness/Smithwicks) and ordered the Frank the Tank burger, I couldn’t resist! The corned beef and cabbage was ordered as well as the Irish egg rolls which were surprisingly good! The corned beef and cabbage was just ok according to my father in law. The best part of the evening was the live bagpipe music! It was a blast and I would definitely recommend Clancy’s for the St Paddy’s day festivities!

Unbelievably bad! This visit was a nightmare for everyone involved. I ordered a fish sandwich and it looked good, but upon further inspection the center was still frozen! The only saving grace were the tots. Then they asked me if I wanted something else, and I said that I would try the Coconut Shrimp(seemingly hard to screw up), but I was wrong again. They brought me 7 overcooked shrimp with NO sauce. I asked for the sweet Thai Chili dipping sauce that they listed on the menu, and 5 minutes later I received some sort of siracha bullcrap that wasn’t sweet and it sucked. My wife lucked out and only got two crappy baked potatoes that seemed like they were cooked last week and the first was cold. Blue Springs Clancy’s really needs to step it up if you are going to serve the same tired all fried menu as everyone else in the surrounding area.

Have been going to Clancy’s for years. The food is always good, the staff does a great job, and the owners are great people. It’s time for a menu upgrade/change. For those that eat here on a regular basis there is nothing new and exciting. Re-invent the menu! You have some competition in Blue Springs now. For the last year we have been regulars at Brewers and have not been to Clancy’s all that much at all. Catch up to the times guys… Bar is always a fun time.

A decent place. The bar staff is friendly and keeps up with you to make sure you always have a full drink. The food is good. Had the Vlancy’s Rueben which had the right mix of corned beef, sauerkraut and 1000 island. Good selection of sides so you aren’t stuck with fries if you don’t want that. Beer is cold and nice selection of taps including the local brews.

You know that bar where everyone knows your name? I hate to say, this is not it. I stayed next door at the Hampton Inn and the first night stay, I met Ernie the bartender at Clancy’s Pub.(The dining side of Clancy’s is an area I never entered). Ernie spoke to me as a confidant and informed me of the happy hour food deals plus the draught beer deals and I bought in. I tried a pint from the leftover keg from Saint Patty’s day, an Irish Stout and found it fantastic(more zest and hoppier than tonight’s Guinness) at $ 3.00 per pint! What a DEAL! Paired with the $ 5.00 mini tacos was good too however, Ernesto suggested the American burger as the Monday Night special and I bought in to this suggestion as he had been good to me so far and I added sweet Vidalia onion rings, a thick slice of zesty, pepper Jack cheese, fresh Jalapenos and I was now hooked with the proverbial line and sinker! Tonight I returned again, sat at the spacious bar that was lined with flat screen TV’s and again enjoyed the local banter of the regular Blue Spring crowd while watching the KC Royals play an away game in Cleveland. The Irish Stout from last night was gone, empty, nada, so I tried the Guinness and then moved on to the tasty Deschutes Pale Ale. A wonderful choice paired with the fantastic, plump, zesty & meaty spicy buffalo wings appetizer that was accompanied with a generous portion of Blu Cheese dressing dip. All together stuffed, this was more than a reasonable meal at an unbelievable low price! As a nightcap I ordered a shot of Jack Daniels single barrel whiskey on the rocks and smiled as I appreciated the warm glow in my belly it created as I walked across the parking lot back to my hotel room. I wish every motel room I called home had Ernie and a Clancy’s Pub a short walk across the parking lot and my road nights would be much easier to endure! Highly recommended to Unilocalers wanting more than the ordinary food AND service!

It’s Clancy’s…a long time staple in BS. A great local pub to stop I with friends for drinks and food. Love the wine and cheese platter but you can’t go wrong with any of their meals either. Love sports? Great place to watch the Chiefs and the Royals with drink and food specials.

After a long day driving, we just wanted to grab a quick bite and pass out in our hotel. Who knew we’d end up having absolutely DELICIOUS sandwiches(fish fillet for me, Reuben for him), French onion soup, and tasty happy hour beers to wash it all down? Great atmosphere too — definitely a pub, but tables are well spaced apart, the bar area is perfectly situated in one corner, and the noise level isn’t bad at all. Service was great as well. Music Bingo was starting as we were finishing up dinner, but unfortunately we were just too tired to hang out. We’ll definitely be back!

A quiet place to come if you go on the restaurant side and not the bar. Fireplace burning in the Winter and if you are lucky you can sit near it. They have a decent salad bar, but excell with the Rubin sandwiches and Fish and Chips.

Delicious food and excellent service! I Love the Southwest Chicken salad and the Patty Melt sandwich. Did I mention that they have 26 Beers on Tap! Great sports bar with lots of tv’s.

i’ve been here a few times to watch Mizzou games. My husband grew up in Independence and several of his friends still live in the area and we are both avid Mizzou fans. It’s nice to watch the games with old friends but the smoke in this place sucks. I’ve got to take off one star for that. Smoking is allowed because there are pool tables in the basement, evidently. Smoking ban? Not here! I’ve had food here over the years, but last weekend I had a Chicken, cranberry and blue cheese salad that was amaziing. And the prices are pretty good too. The drink prices are fair to lower end and the service is really good. If smoke doesn’t bother you, come here. If it does, beware.

This place is okay. Food is mediocre bar food, but they do have good drink specials. I occasionally smoke while I drink, but this place is a little overwhelming even for me. I personally do not like going to this place because it feels like a high school reunion. Nothing special about this place. Nothing really bad about it either. Its just okay. The karaōke nights are pretty fun. They do have a very nice patio in the summer.

The service was among the worst I’ve experienced. I normally start at 20% and work up. I left $.15. She left the check and five minutes later STILL hadn’t come back to pick up the card. I dropped the cash amount without going too much over and left. The food was passible, but in no way made up for the poor service.

It never occurred to me that there was a metro city without a smoking ban… well, other than Sugar Creek. But c’mon Blue Springs! Get with the program! The smoke is the only reason I would rate Clancy’s down, and that’s not really their fault. The food and drink are both good, and the service is great. The first time I was there was with some regulars, but, unless the entire bar area was full of regulars, I saw everyone treated with the same care and attention. The drinks are good, the beer is cold, and I was very happy with my patty melt the night I ate there. And they have tater tots, which automatically elevates them. I will also call out the beer selection as superior, both on the low and high end. They seem like a place that’s willing to try something new, and I appreciate that. The smoke, however, is insidious. I think they have fairly decent ventilation because you don’t really notice it unless someone is smoking right next to you. But once you leave, ugh. If you have any issues with smoke, I’m going to have to steer you away. If you feel like it’s worth it to spend some time in a friendly bar with good food and good drinks, Clancy’s is a good stop if you’re in the area.

An ok place. Nothing too spectacular to mention on here. It’s generally pretty packed about 9:00PM, sometimes earlier, sometimes later. The drinks are reasonably priced and they have a decent selection. It can sometimes get kind of loud and get a nightclub type vibe, so if that isn’t your cup of tea you may want to stay away from here after the sun goes down. All-in-all, you may just want to check this one at a time-or-two before making your judgment, because the atmosphere can change from night-to-night.

It’s a high school reunion every Friday, and is probably the most consistent bar in blue springs as far as the crowd goes… plus how can u go wrong with 6 dollar pitchers. Can get a bit loud if you are trying to talk, but I’m still young so I don’t mind. They also have good food and a great staff.

The neighborhood bar in Blue Springs. Clancy’s is a great place to meet after work and swill a few beers with the gang. Great beer selection, very cool and friendly staff. It’s a bit noisy at later in the evening and can be a bit smoke filled, but it is a bar so… Enjoy!
