Cute little bakery/sandwich shop in the MOA. We stopped by for sweet treats. I loved their french macaroons and truffles. BJ liked his fruit topped tart pastry. Great place to get a sweet treat!

Finding a really good croissant in the Twin Cities has been tough. In my six years here, I’ve only liked two other croissants which were from Patisserie 46 and The Wedge. I’ve only ordered from their baked selections(never had lunch here) and enjoyed everything so far. The coffee is also really good. When I want to take a break from shopping and get a quick snack … this place is a definite.

This place is pretty good. the pastries are ok and the prices are what you would ever to pay for French pastries. this place is probably owned by the same owner as patrick bakery in Bloomington.

My teeth are quaking from the Almond Ganache Cookie which I agree with other reviewers is more like a bar– just in the shape of a cookie. The cookie was all right. A bit too rich for me, but tasty. I like almost anything almond and the chocolate ganache added a good flavor. Just too rich and made me incredibly thirsty. Nice little edition to the mall if you don’t want to load up on all the other food as they have a few good sounding sandwiches and quiche if that’s your thing.

This place should really be called Pardon My Food. Disappointing desserts and food. The only people who will enjoy this place are those who like to pretend they are French or actually think Salut is a good place to eat. My review is based on several visits to both sites in Eagan and Mall of America. I really wanted to like this place as their desserts and food always look and sound mouthwatering. I wanted to like it so much that even after my dismal first experience I went back for more. What was I thinking? I had their marzipan pumpkin which is a special they carry in the fall. Pumpkins should be fresh tasting, slightly sweet yet with a hearty squash aftertaste. These marzipan candies tasted like old, moldy pumpkins left to rot long after Halloween was over. My 5 year-old sister, who loves vegetables and eats bitter melon like candy, spit out her first bite and threw away the rest of her candy. I’ve also had the crème brûlée, and it really should be called crème with slimy sugar on top. The part people enjoy the most of a crème brûlée is breaking the sugar top. Unfortunately the sugar top is soft and slimy, detracting from the flavor of the crème. The crème itself is ok, nothing special to distinguish it from other vanilla flavored cremes. I’ve also tried several different varieties of their chocolate cakes and honestly they all taste the same. Thick cake with flavorless frosting, nothing distinguishing one chocolate cake flavor from the other. The only thing making them interesting is the decoration on the cake itself, but really getting a flake of gold on your cake is not worth the $ 5 you’ll be losing. The food is blah, there is always something slightly off. Like ordering lemon chicken and finding it too lemony. It’s too bad the owner of Vincent A. doesn’t open a french bakery of his own. Minnesota is obviously desperate seeking real French fare but ending up with french fries instead.

I was excited to find this cute little café in the mall near Nordstroms, it was so much better than eating in a crowded food court. They have a decent menu of salads, sandwiches, soup and quiche. I decided to order the quich meal which comes with two different kinds of quiche and a side salad. I had the spinach and feta quiche, and the chicken, tomato and asparagus quiche. Both of the quiches were decent, nothing out of this world. I think they would have tasted better if they had been hotter. I upgraded from a side salad to a cup of their chicken and vegetable soup. I would not recommend doing this. The soup was not great, it was basically chicken broth with chunks of carrot and celery. My mom ordered a sandwich with prosciutto and swiss cheese. The bread was excellent and I really enjoyed the dressing on her side salad. My sister ordered their bean wrap and she also enjoyed her meal. If you come here, I would recommend getting dessert above anything else. They have an excellent selection of pastries, cookies, truffles and macarons. I shared an oatmeal, raisin and butterscotch cookie with my mom and it was excellent(and quite large!). The cookie was soft and buttery and had just the right amount of raisins and butterscotch. I also got an almond cookie with chocolate ganache to bring home and this dessert was the real star. I loved this cookie. It was light and soft and had the perfect almond flavor that was accompanied by rich, dark chocolate. It wasn’t like your typical cookie because the texture was so soft, almost like a bar. I could eat this every day.

We loved this little restaurant. Before our flight out we definitely stopped by, a second time, for a little breakfast. We had a great chocolate croissant, a delicious ham and cheese croissant, a salad and a chocolate macaroon. All were great! We were so excited to have a REAL salad! Not, iceberg lettuce from a bag. With tasty raspberry dressing! YUM! All the desserts looked decadent and delicious, I wanted to try them all but, i think that would require a few more laps around the mall. The location is nice, kind of tucked away. The person taking our order was not the most friendly, but, hey, if its really going to fell like France I guess that’s what you can expect ;) If for some reason I find myself back the the Mall of America I will definitely be back to Pardon my French.

There’s actually a quiet little corner in the mall. The croissants are light, large, and very flaky. A delicious recipe that was brought all the way from France. They actually sell some of the breakfast items across the way in a mini Nordstroms café area. I like that they offer their pastries in miniature, and I sampled a mini Napoleon. It sure is sweet. This is the second one, Eagan seems to be the popular one, but I really liked how serene this location is, at the MOA. Who knew.

Just like the Eagan location but without the drive through. Pardon my french is in the old wolfgang puck express restaurant area and it think it fits it well. They offer plenty of fresh pastries and sandwiches. A great place for dessert after a meal elsewhere in the mall, or even just for a little treat after find good deals too. My favorites are the crème brûlée or the fruit tart. Its so tempting not to stop because all of the sweet pastries and staring at you through the glass cases. plus a majority of the pastries are under $ 5 so it doesn’t leave a dent on the wallet. I have to try the burger that whitney g. is mentioning but for dessert everything is A+ quality.

As a girl that loves steak-frites, this place is great. All the feeling of a French Café in the Mall of America, and my eyes were completely glued to the confection case while I was ordering my Forester burger! I haven’t been able to trek over to the Eagan location yet, but I will have to visit their store as well. Everything was cooked to exactly the right temperature and tasted amazing. I’m wanting to go back just thinking about it!
