Love it! Excellent selection. Fantastic preparations. Prices terrific. Try the lunch buffet.

There is no way you come here and not find something you enjoy! There is sushi, rice, noodles, fresh fruit, ice cream, salads, off-beat items. It’s a completely affordable and deserving buffet. I have frequented many times as I enjoy the huge range of options.

Don’t waste your time eating at this terrible buffet. Huge selection but most of is inedible. Bland is an understatement… I though my taste buds had died. The girls were good with drink refills, but we tried virtually everything and the best thing I found was the«chicken strips» which were really chunks and not Chinese.

Not so bad, but not so great. Our waitress was quick to refill, pick up plates and also to get us out of there(literally) The food was a hit or miss. Some things were hot and others cold, the sushi was my favorite by far. Oh, the desserts tasted stale. They do have a huge variety of food though, so there is something for everyone if you go with a group of people.

I was surprised how decent the food was here. They have a nice selection of items. Service is ok. Plenty of parking. I would definitely eat here again.

Their food is too heavy, and the servants are really rude. I don’t think I will go back there again, and don’t suggest anyone going there if they want to die from diabetes.

Loved the food but crappy service. The waitress hovered over us the entire time. Taking our plates after we were barely finished, shoving the checks down our throats. It really took away from the experience. She brought our checks really early then kept hovering around waiting for us to pay. We were going to pay when we were finished, like normal people, but she seemed very impatient. We came to the conclusion that she wanted us to pay right in front of her so she could make sure she got a tip. Very awkward and uncomfortable waitress, but again, good food. Honestly though, I had just finished hiking 16 miles without food or whatever, so anything at that point would have probably tasted incredible.

Mr. Hibachi is perfect. There is so much food, and its all delicious. The ambience is so nice. The bathrooms are nice. Fresh sushi. Service was great. My favorite Chinese restaurant in Bloomington so far! Its a little on the expensive side, dinner buffet is $ 11.99 I think? But totally worth it.

It’s a good buffet option for Bloomington but I seem to attract weird dining experiences at Mr. Hibachi. This last visit we have a part of 16 and were seated in a side room. Before we were near being finished another large group of about 25 was introduced to our area and stood in our immediate dining area for 20 minutes before I complained to the host. Not sure if they thought we’d be done soon and could have our table but it was extremely odd considering they held some type of award ceremony while we were trying to converse and eat. The staff did little about the issue. Most of the chicken dishes and vegetables are pretty good at Mr. Hibachi but the rest is sub par. It’s usually not my choice for a meal but it is good(usually) for large groups.

My friend said I really needed to go. So, finally went here and I was not a fan. The food was okay, nothing special. The worst part about this restaurant was my waitress. After we got our drinks, we never saw her again and it wasn’t even busy that night. She was too busy on her cell phone to notice us.

Their food is ok, they have a lot of variety, noodles, rice, different Chinese dishes, ice cream, sushi, fruits, soups, standard buffet, and if you don’t want to go far, this is the most complete buffet you could find in Bloomington, but the foods there are average, not outstanding

Chinese buffet. But no it is not your ordinary Chinese buffet. I don’t eat a lot of Chinese food and not their buffets, but mr hibachi is terrific. Nothing sits out forever on the steam table getting old. It is always fresh. There is a raw table and you make a plate and they stir fry it fresh. Crab legs frog legs. Endless favorites. Spanakopita. Yes, at a Chinese buffet. Puff pastry Philly cheese steak. Crab Rangoon. So much variety. There something for everyone. General Tso, chicken a hundred ways. Big tray of salmon. Roast beef here tonight. 7.99 lunch. 11.99 dinner. Can’t beat it. I don’t get sick after this Chinese food. I was here a week and came here twice.

The good here is average. As they are the only competitive Chinese buffet in town, they provide a lot of American Chinese good and authentic Chinese good, as well as sushi, fried noodles, and American food. Always a lot of people when you visit on weekends, they have more dishes in dinner time.

Food is okay and there are plenty of choices. Many choices of sushi but most not labeled. Tried two but didn’t find one I liked so stopped. The spicy pork was good. We came for dinner but thought the prices high. On top of that they charge extra for beverages. Based on price, lunch would be a better choice.

My first experience at this buffet was incredibly disappointing, I could not believe how rude the staff was. Firstly our waitress took our drink order by pointing to a list and asking, «What do you want?» I asked if they served beer and she told me to get a coke as if I offended her by asking. When the drinks came she slammed them on the end of the table and walked away. I should point out that although it was a Friday night, the restaurant was not busy at all. As for the food, I didn’t find a single hot dish in the buffet. It was like eating room-temperature leftovers. After my first plate I noticed our waitress watching us, staring, I can honestly say it felt threatening. About a half-hour into our dinner she walked over to our table and interrupted my conversation to ask me to pay. She literally asked for my money. Feeling insulted I ignored the check and tried to continue with my meal. Again however, within 5 minutes our waitress came to our table, pointed at the check and asked me to pay«now.» I must point out again that this place was not packed, busy, or understaffed. I handed her my card and when she brought the receipt she stood there to watch me tip and sign. As we left even the hostess stared at us walking out, thinking that this was a different employee and perhaps I had a bad apple I nodded and said thank you only to be ignored and glared at. I’m not sure what I expected. Being a young man in a college town I’ve grown accustomed to the usual treatment when assumed that I’m a student. I understand that many servers reserve their respect for students assuming that they won’t tip. I have never however seen anything such as this.

The dishes has been the same for such a long time, I wish them could change sometimes. But I do appreciate the festival special dishes, they are really Chinese. As a resident that live around Hibachi and goes there once a week, I will give this place a good rating cos it «save my life» in the early days I don’t cook.

I’m not typically a buffet person but Mr Hibachi is by far the best Chinese buffet I’ve been to. It was reasonably priced, the food was flavorful and fresh, and it was a quick way to grab lunch. The dessert options were minimal but I’m not a dessert man. Overall, great lunch experience. I will not be visiting again because the food was so yummy and had so many option that I tried everything on the buffet and now I am stuffed like a thanksgiving turkey! If u come bring an appetite because u will devour a lot!

Delish. I take my wives and my 17 kids here all the time. My favorite is the cream cheese wontons. I just want to crawl inside one of them and live there.

BESTBUFFET on the planet I’d say. This place has everything and that is an understatement. Friendly staff. SUSHI! HIBACHIGRILL!!! I met Rupert from Survivor here! A must visit. You gotta try it. AFFORDABLE! Around $ 8 for lunch. Like $ 12 for dinner

Visited the restaurant a few weeks ago for lunch and found the entrees to be less than hot. Tried again this week and they were cold. Cold soup and cold pepper steak aren’t a good combination. Tried most of the meat entrees and all the same. I believe they open at 11 I was there at noon. The place is very clean service is good and a large variety of offerings however you must like cool or cold food if you are going for lunch.
