I have to agree completely with Simon B. All that is true. However, only one of the massage guys ever pushed me to buy more minutes. If you have Google Translate on your cell phone, it will help you communicate with them. They speak almost no English. When I tried the Translate program, this immediately improved our relationship! These folks will work very hard to get rid of stubborn muscle spasms in shoulder blades, etc. It’s great to be able to walk in and get a massage on the same day you want/need it!

It’s true that they always hustle you to buy more massage minutes and bully you to pay with cash even though they accept cards. It’s true that during your massage their cell phones will ring several times, blaring that breathy trip-hop ringtone in your ear. It’s true that my more expensive personal massage therapist provides me with a more peaceful experience. But I like being able to just walk in, no appointment, and get 20 mins if that’s all I need. And I love their strong hands. God only knows if they are actually trained in this, but it’s so nice to have someone who uses a little strength from the get-go. Today, as my «massage therapist» was twisting my liver and breaking my neck, I thought to myself, «this feels so good, I don’t even care that she keeps flashing my ass crack to all of College Mall.»
