Whenever I’m strolling down the square, this is a place I always stop to see. The gifts are so neat and unique! They’re the type of gifts that make you think, «Wow. This person would like this,» but also makes you want to keep it for yourself. Some prices are a little overwhelming, but many items seem to go to the actual people who have made the crafts in other countries.

Beautiful store with cool items and delicious coffee! I brought my campers in here and they gave them free CDs and were extremely kind and passionate about their shop. Love to see a great local business like this in Bloomington!

–Really love this place. We happened to be in town and decided to check it out. It compares well to the Indy Mass Ave one that we usually go to. I found a beautiful tapestry to finally make some kitchen curtains. –can’t wait!

It’s great to have a fair trade shop in town that I can feel good buying things from. The jewelry is super cute, but if you have sensitivity to some metals be forewarned there are few items available that are nickel free, silver, or gold. In addition to jewelry, Global Gifts carries scarfs, hats and mittens, bags, home goods, music, books, cards, and chocolate. Most of the store is taken up with home goods. The prices are very reasonable. I wish they carried more clothing items as they are often difficult to find fair trade, and I don’t want to support sweatshops.

I love the selection at Global Gifts. I get to rock B.A. jewelry and take care of my white guilt all at once.
The $ 6 recycled wrapper zippered-​pouches are BOSS. And the finger puppets make wonderful gifts. Or you can just keep them for your own yarn menagerie.
Be sure to make good use of the frequent visitor «passport» … they’re easy to fill up and get you a discount when you trade it in.
This is a great shop to stop in when you’re wandering around the Square, especially with out-​of-​town visitors who are itching to buy something. My only complaint is about the zeal of the volunteers that work there. EVERY TIME I walk in at least two people ask me if they can help me find something and try to tell me how fair trade works. I hate shutting down earnest volunteers, but damn, I get it, okay? Management needs to simmer that fire.
