After having some pretty terrifying experiences with dentists and being referred to Dr. Eades by my boyfriend and his family, I was both hesitant and skeptical that this time would be any different than the last half-dozen dentists I’d seen. The consultation was painless and the staff friendly – welcoming even – but this did nothing to assuage my fears, though I did feel a little better prepared for what might happen. Bottom line is this: I need a lot of dental work. Cursed with bad genetics and bad choices in my youth(smoking, bad dental hygiene – the works), my mouth *should* be made of solid gold by the time I’m finished putting money into it. That said, each visit I make to the dentist requires more than simple fluoride treatments. Much, much more. Since that first visit, I’ve been twice to Dr. Eades’ office, and each time I continue to be amazed that an experience with a dentist can be so painless. I’ve had a total of three teeth pulled here as well as a handful of fillings, and as I write this one day post-appointment I’m not in any pain, nor am I dreading my next appointment. It’s very nearly enough to make me emotional, I’m so relieved. Each appointment I make with Dr. Eades requires at least an hour of driving on my part(from both Terre Haute and Indianapolis at this point), but I would easily drive over twice that for an experience with a knowledgeable dentist that doesn’t leave me feeling violated or sore for a week afterward.
