For being in the middle of a city, this trail is awesome. I have walked parts of it and biked parts of it, but never the entire thing in one go since it is pretty long.

Anyone living in B-​N who enjoys running, biking or walking should be well acquainted with the Constitution Trail. If you’re a visitor, check out the link I pasted below to see where you can pick up the Trail. Currently, there’s over 24 miles of trail throughout B-​N and they are still expanding. There are some really nice shaded areas, especially on the north/​south section that goes through the Illinois Wesleyan and Illinois State campuses. The trail is pretty difficult to negotiate when there is snow on the ground though, so be careful.

The Constitution Trail is an excellent ‘perk’ to the twin Cities and runs around 24 in length. It’s purpose is simply to serve as a casual stroll, or running, biking; whatever! When the weather is right, there are people everywhere on it, and is pet friendly. Excellent trail for whatever your activity should be.

This is a series of asphalt trails running through Bloomington and Normal on old rail beds. Because of the railroad’s right of way powers, the trail is able to cut through the heart of the city with very few interruptions. This makes a great place to run or bike in peace, rarely having to worry about traffic.

Peaceful, woodsy, pretty, convenient. Populated without being crowded. And a great connector between B and N!
