Beyond satisfied! David came through with more than expected. He went above and beyond with paying close attention to detail on the installation, and placed every camera, and dvr exactly where I wanted them. He even vacuumed my house before he left. He beat everyone else’s prices, and offers a way better product! I would definitely recommend cctvmicro and David to anyone who is looking for a camera system in their home or business. A+

I’ve held off on giving this business a bad rating for many weeks now but I’ve finally had enough of CCTV Micro’s horrible business practices. Please note that with this review, I’m effectively cutting off any further business with them. This will likely be a huge pain in my ass as another camera installer that comes to service the equipment won’t be as well versed with CCTV’s cameras and will charge me for any service issues that should’ve been included in CCTV Micro’s 2 year warranty. Still, the amount of bullshit that I’ve gone through with this company is untenable, so I’ve decided that cutting it off and dealing with a more reputable and reliable company is the lesser of two evils. I have also filed a formal complaint with the Better Business Bureau. To wit: My initial 5 star review centered around Andy Acosta who was a former employee here. Every time Andy came out, he was polite, professional, and extremely helpful. My interactions with him are why CCTV Micro earned our business. Apparently, there was some drama at the company where Andy was no longer employed there and I lost touch with them. However, after a few months post Andy’s departure, the owner David and I got into contact and I agreed on upgrading our 16 channel SD camera system to an HD system. Red Flag #1: David came out for an initial estimate. He assured me it’d be an easy installation which sounded good and I was excited to move forward. I did notice that he bad-mouthed his former employee Andy several times during our conversations. It seemed unprofessional at the time — and in hindsight, a reflection of his business style — but I just figured it was bad blood between the two parties. Red Flag #2: David and Brandon came out to do the installation. The prior camera system was a mess and I will give credit to CCTV Micro for slogging through the years of patch-job wiring that comprised the former camera system and installing the new system. I should also say in fairness that everything seemed on point and efficient in the installation process. At least until David said that there was no master power box in the previous system and that he needed to charge extra for this to install at a later time. I responded by saying that he came out for an initial estimate and looked at the system. As the resident expert, it was his professional responsibility to know what we needed or not and to include it in pricing. We then agreed that the power box and installation would be included in the original invoice pricing. Potential bait and switch averted, right? Red Flag #3: David texts me 20 minutes before the planned follow up service to say he hurt his leg on another job a few days before and had to go to the ER. Thought to myself that it seems strange that a dramatic injury like that merits a call to a client 20 minutes before but we rescheduled a few times and the job eventually got done. Red Flag #4: On Saturday 2/6, I noticed that my one of my cameras in the parking lot wasn’t working and two other cameras had brightness issues. I then contacted David and we agreed on a 9:30am service call on Tuesday 2⁄9. That day, David never showed up — I called and texted him and he didn’t respond. His partner Brandon called me a bit later saying that there was an emergency and David would come out the next day at the same time. I’m beginning to think that I’m getting the run-around. Incidentally, David is very proud of his business page on Facebook so I head over to see if I could find any information. Saw a post from Tuesday 2⁄9 of a smiling David having breakfast with his sons and later completing an install in Ontario: no emergencies that I can see. Like most people, I don’t like being lied to but I put it aside as I needed to get the cameras operational. David later texted me that night to say that he needed to reschedule again. We agreed on Thursday 2⁄11 at 10am. Red Flag #5: 10:00am Thursday 2⁄11 and no sign of David. Called and texted him and got no response. Called Brandon and got the same treatment. Called/texted this morning(2⁄12) again and to add insult to injury, I got the characteristic«Call Ended» notice when I rang his number and got disconnected after two rings. How many more red flags do I need? Look, I understand that there are always two sides of the story but it’s very hard to stay unbiased when 1) this is messing with my staff and customers safety and 2) the degree of unresponsiveness and untruthfulness is off the charts. Doubly so because this vendor deals with home/business security and I’d like to think that a higher caliber of moral and business standards would be needed in an industry like this. TLDR Summary: You are going to get lots of big promises but the run around and lies if you go with CCTV Micro. Security is a big deal for many businesses in this area and I’d highly advise against dealing with a company like this that has been unprofessional and untruthful.

I highly recommend CCTVMICRO, for all your security camera needs. They have a variety of cameras that will meet any of your needs. They also professionally install the cameras, and set you up so you can view them from home, and on the web, and a phone app. I bought my security cameras, and all the equipment to run it from David Grinnell, and Andy Acosta, and they installed everything, and set me up so I can view them from anywhere. I love my security cameras, because we have really clear pictures to help the police capture the criminals. Our cameras paid off the first month we had them. We got great clear video of a man breaking into our neighborhood mail box, and stealing everyone’s mail. Very clear and good quality video and pictures of his car, licence plate, and him committing the crime. We were able to share all this info with the police and Postmaster. Also we use our cameras to keep an eye on our dogs, which has helped us identify which one is doing things they should not be doing. Our security cameras help us feel a lot safer, and they have helped with our neighborhood watch. Also David Grinnell and Andy Acosta are very helpful anytime I have questions, or need help learning anything about my camera system. I am happy I saw them on Facebook, and called them for a free estimate, because the price was right, and the cameras are great.

I would say they have a long ways to go as a company. Dont know if they are insured or licensed. They recently did my warehouse. A few challenges throughout the install and they worked through them. Took it upon themselves to make holes in my roof with out clearing with me first and I let it slide with a verbal agreement that they would take care of the damages when I moved out. «If it was my place I would have probably sued and held them accountable for repairs.» Don’t know if its me because I’m former military and a perfectionist but I would have not dared do something like that. They made a promise to take ownership if issues arose on my exit, we will see when the time comes. The install was average, the quality of the equipment I can not say as I have only worked with military grade surveillance systems. They installed my monitor on the wall. no issues with that. The cost was minimal, $ 4200 vs $ 18,000 I was about to spend but just needed the system for two years. I would say the most sensitive part of the job is the wrap-up and they need to work on that. I had them adjust one camera that I was not satisfied with and they did. Once they left and looking more in depth there are a few that need adjustment. They should be working on that last stage of the job. Sitting with the customer and ensuring the cameras are 100% and so is the customer. They left right after we paid them, they didn’t bother to show me how to retrieve recorded footage or do time lapse. I will have to research the manual and figure it out myself. To sum it up, you get what you pay for and I think I got everything I paid for here. Leverage what the cost will be vs the asset you are protecting. In a commercial application these guys are a good temporary solution.

This guy did work for us in 12⁄2013. VERY sloppy. We had to have everything he did re done by another company — who laughed when they saw his work. Despite David promising many times to come back and do the work properly, he never showed up. I was quoted a price of $ 450, and was NEVER told it would be for a sub-standard job. All of his work had to be re-done and the cost was LESS. BECAREFUL if you hire this company. I took pictures of all the work they did. The pictures speak for themselves.

I am pleased to review this company. I am a very satisfied customer. Three hard working men installed 8 cameras at my home in a single day. They provided a clean install, and kept a positive attitude. They were professional and trust worthy. I will recommend them to my friends and family. I got several estimates before I called them. The price was right and the people are awesome! Use them and you will not regret it.
