Restaurant update: Please read my prior review for full details. My parents continue to shop at this location and had the luxury of dealing with Layla the manager of the store a few months back. It was a coupon by cinnabon on a 6 pack for xyz dollars. I don’t remember the exact cost but really it was like 3 – 4 dollar saving. The manager had the audacity to say that they do not participate with the coupons. After hearing this I wrote to corporate again on how they are not honoring a coupon that was with the Sunday fliers. They must have gotten through to this franchise location because they subsequently«honored» it even though again when we tried to use the coupon there was the canned response until my dad mentioned who he was and how corporate said they need to honor the coupon. I believe business now has gone downhill because they are issuing there own coupons in the mailer. There is karma for you. I still prefer the Woodfield location when possible.

What is there really to say about this place? Oh, I know! «Over priced snack food.» I’m sure that the teens roaming the malls with mom and dad’s money in their pocket are the people who keep this place in business. And I say that with much confidence. My reasoning: One of the reasons I was here was because it was Black Friday EARLY morning(1am or so) and they had a shorter line than the pretzel place across the way. Stupid me, there is a reason for this. The other reason I chose them was because they had hot chocolate on the menu which is exactly what my fiancé wanted who was patiently waiting in line at Sears for us. I was surprising him with some because he had mentioned earlier that evening that he wanted some. It wasn’t bad. I think I paid $ 6+ for a small cup of hot chocolate and some cinnamon sticks covered with cinnamon and sugar. Let me also point out that they pulled these sticks out from their display area where they appeared to be fresh… oh, no no no. This is just how it APPEARS. The woman working the counter took them in their little package and placed them in a microwave. Gross! When I got back upstairs(about 4 minutes later) and bit into one, they were mushy and stale-tasting. Not fresh by any means. They looked like they were made with a flaky-croissant-like dough but they were not flaky at all. Disappointment has set it. They also put whipped cream on top of the hot chocolate without asking which my fiancé hates, but because of the long line, I didn’t want to be the needy lady that asks them to remake it. They really should have asked first. Just because you may like it, doesn’t mean everyone does. I wasn’t really a fan to begin with, so I don’t feel like I have lost anything but my six bucks, but believe me, I am not going there again anytime soon. Blah.
