The Greek Salad with the beef gyro meat was delicious. I just missed the onions, and I wish the dressing was more cohesive. I’d definitely order that salad again. It was fulfilling.

Looks like a popular joint … It’s always crowded I dined here a while ago with my husband and daughter and this chatty bartender, Mike(nice guy) comes up to us and asks us if we were from India and what language we spoke and all sorts of questions so we tried to be smart and tell him a language which I was sure he(being an American) wouldn’t have heard… Instantly he turns to my daughter and tells her«bagunnava bangaru» meaning«how are u princess» … Me and my husband had our jaws dropped in awe… Wow!!! All the reviews about how delicious the food is, are true… I recommended spanakopitas.

I used to like this place. I didn’t care for my falafel pita at all. They used a thin pita that fell apart. I thought maybe they got rid of their fresh pitas but there are some pictures of them in other reviews. The sandwich had three ok falafel balls and then a bunch of lettuce. Little sauce. Had to order Greek salad which was also just ok very disappointing and I won’t be back.

I got the chicken kabobs. Really good. Service was decent. What were awesome were the wings! Some of the tables were a bit too close together but place was clean. Prices were reasonable. My friends enjoyed the tapas flatbreads immensely. I would go back. I am not a fan of Greek food, but the menu offers several items if you are like me in that respect.

I enjoyed this restaurant. The waitress we had was very nice and had a positive attitude, which already makes the experience a lot better. The service was quick, and was not a long wait at all. I thought the food was very tasty, but the portions are ENORMOUS. I could barely finish my plate, and when I did, I was beyond full. It wasn’t amazing and mind-blowing, but it is tolerable and tasty. I would give it a 4 star and will definitely come back.

My local favorite until they raised their prices on their tired old menu. There are many other local places with better food at a comparable price point

This place did not disappoint! I was here with my lovely lady and everything was awesome. The waitress was awesome and very helpful. Her nails changed colors which was pretty cool too but that little talk was between her and my girlfriend haha. I ordered myself the Ultimate gyro with fries on the side and I have to say that it was one tasty gyro. I had the combination of chicken and beef and it somehow blended very nicely. The gyro was packed with flavors and way better than I expected it to be! I would definitely come back again! The food was good, the staff was friendly, and the vibe was right. There’s also a bar where people can come in and watch a sports game or whatever they may put on. I thought the bar looked nice.

I was pleasantly surprised by the Ultimate Gyro. For about $ 10, you get a huge gyro packed with meat and filling — but definitely the meat shines. I went for the combo, and the meat was delicious. They also have a pretty strong bottled beer list and about 5 draft, which are enough to get your solid wheat or IPA in.

Tapas is solid in every way. I have been to the West Hartford location countless times over the years, but this was my first visit to the Bloomfield location. The Bloomfield location is definitely more open and they have a great bar area with a few televisions. They also have some great happy hour offerings($ 5 per app) that starts at 4pm. I stuck with my standard order of Greek Salad and Beef Gyro. The salad is delicious and one of my faves. Crunchy iceberg and romaine lettuce with plenty of feta, kalamata olives, and tomatoes. They have pepperoncini’s too… I only wish they gave you a few more. I absolutely love the Tapas Dressing… yum. The beef gyro is as good as ever and the add just enough of thatziki sauce to finish it off. The spicey ketchup served with the fries is a nice touch too. I topped it off with a nice glass of Greek white wine… a perfect lunch.

Time and time again, Tapas delivers outstanding meals. Whether you go for Sunday brunch, afternoon lunch or dinner, you can rest assured that the meal will exceed your expectations every single time. The posted specials are ALWAYS a win. We love the seafood dishes. Everything is expertly cooked and has complex flavors. The cocktails are always perfect as well. Great job, Tapas! Keep up the good work. We’ll see you soon.

I’ve been to Tapas in Bloomfield twice now and I have to say, it’s pretty solid! The last time I went, I was waiting for a friend and the waitress was extremely patient. I had a Groupon voucher that included wine or sangria for both people, and an entrée, which was a GREAT deal. We both ended up getting a bottle of Prosecco(basically champagne) each, and our waitress guided us to get the best possible deal and food with our voucher. Let’s just say she earned her tip! The food was delicious, as per usual — I got their vegetarian chili, which is awesome, and a falafel plate with a side of tzatziki, baklava for dessert(not included in the voucher). I admit, everything I’ve ever had at Tapas I’ve had better elsewhere, but what I love is their massive selection of food. It’s like everything Mediterranean in one place, and all of it is tasty. This place is almost an hour drive for me, but it’s worth it. My friend got a massive entrée plate with salmon and some kind gyro meat. It was huge and she seemed to love every bit of it. Both of our meals came with plenty of pita bread, so you know I was happy camper. I’ll be back soon, I like the casual vibe and kind of dimly-lit atmosphere. The staff is friendly and the food is my jam. Check this place out if you’re in the area, you really have nothing to lose!

Have had lunch here 3 times, the latest of which was today on New Year’s Day. Tapas is located in the Ruby Tuesday’s plaza, alongside a bar, bank, liquor store and a Starbucks. Very easy to get to on the corner of two major roads and there is lots of parking available. Dining room was fairly empty, there was an advertised Jazz Brunch that had two musicians playing live music near the bar. Our lunch included a Smoked Salmon plate($ 13.99) and a small Greek Salad($ 7.99) to which I added a gyro beef and a gyro chicken slice for a buck and a half each. The Salmon plate comes on your choice of onion or plain bagel and it contained a very large portion of sliced salmon –I mean there was a ton of it, making the dish a pretty decent value. I loved my Greek Salad– the small was plenty– a really nice plate of super fresh iceberg & romaine lettuce with feta cheese, diced tomatoes, kalamata olives, and pepperoncinis. I added the gyro slices, and they were both so equally delicious that I can’t decide if I liked the chicken or beef better, Let’s just say that they are both flavorful, moist and very much worth $ 1.50 a slice. Pita bread wasn’t served with the salad, but a small bowl of freshly baked wedges came out on request at no charge. The hostess and our server were pleasant. The server filled our water glasses when needed, and checked on our meal after he served us –two essential behaviors we hope for when we go out. Our lunch ran just $ 26 or so. It was a very relaxing, very enjoyable meal. Definitely an A-OK.

Best Greek salad I’ve ever had! I wish the atmosphere and ambiance were a bit nicer but it’s fun to sit at the bar. There are a few nearby larger companies that love to go there after work so it’s always really busy. Plan accordingly!

I’ve been to the West Hartford location many, many times. I’ve now been to the Bloomfield location three times, once for dine in and twice for takeout. The food is always good and lately I’ve been picking up a beef gyro(with both sauces, try it!!) to go. I LOVE that this location has a full bar and music on Sundays. Takeout has been swift and perfect too.

Ehh… one skewer of chicken for the platter? $ 15 for one chicken skewer??? Seriously??? I ordered a platter, not a skewer. Not to mention the waiter brought my plate out with fries. Then took it back to remove all the fries and bring me back the plate looking half empty… Chicken tasted so bland… Mad sauce tasted like ketchup and duck sauce… ew. The rice was not cooked right. Salad was ok… hmmmmm. I’ll pass next time

We just had an excellent lunch. This place has great Greek food. I had the chicken souvlaki and it was full of flavor. The sauce was so good. Everyone loved their food, and the services was very friendly. The only thing is that this really isn’t a tapas place. I would Consider it a great Greek restaurant bit not a tapas restaurant. Try it for Greek favorites like souvlaki, spanikopita, and gyros. You won’t be disappointed.

This place is so close for work happy hours or a lunch date with a co-worker but is not my first pick for a restaurant. The happy hour specials aren’t that great and it’s like pulling teeth to get someone to acknowledge your presence at the bar. The service is generally slow but this location is so convenient that I keep coming back, so I can’t harp on the restaurant too much. The food is okay. Their hummus plate is delish but they skip out on giving you enough pita so you have to keep asking. I do like their beef gyro and typically skip the fries because the gyro itself is pretty filling. They serve waffle fries which are cooked perfectly and they have a spicy ketchup which is pretty good.

I have to admit, going to a placed called«Tapas,» I had pretty low expectations. It’s like calling your restaurant«Food.» Oh, you serve food here at this food emporium, how delightful. Also, it’s in Bloomfield, so that’s… concerning. Maybe I shouldn’t be so judgy but this is Unilocal so… yeah. I admit I actually found the menu very interesting. I don’t typically eat a lot of Greek– or Mediterranean-inspired tapas, so all of this Greek Salad and fancy dishes were pretty interesting. I got the Muffaletta with chicken, served with Spanish onion and sherried mushrooms on a garlic pita. It was pretty interesting, and a nice combination of tastes, and I have to say, for the 11 bucks, it was a significant amount of food. Plus, for 3 bucks extra, I got a pretty sizable Greek salad, which I also enjoyed. Though I’m not a huge olive fan. Still, that’s my bad, not theirs. However, I had two issues with this place which really took down my overall experienced a notch. First of all, our service was pretty spotty. I waited significantly longer for drinks than I would’ve liked, only to find the beer I ordered was out, and then it took the waitress another 2 minutes to find a menu and let me order another beer. Ehhhh not terrible but not endearing. The kicker, though, was that the booth where I sat is basically where the drop ceiling ends and the open ceiling begins. And it was a hot day. And the air conditioner was apparently dripping. Right. On. Me. Seriously. How long has this place been open? You have seats where people get dripped on by air conditioners? INDOORS? I know it was hot and I don’t expect perfection, but this struck me as a pretty fixable problem. I am surely not the first person to have used their sense of touch to notice this, right? Right? After I told the waitress, she was like oh, yeah, I’ll let them know. Cool. I’ll just sit here. Getting dripped on. Booyakasha. Overall, though, I did have a good time, and the food really is very good and fairly affordable. I’d go back, but I would definitely avoid the booths in the back, if only because I don’t really need the moisturizing. Though I appreciate the thought.

Came to sit down here for dinner – alone – one night; it was snowing, i was starving, and was the only place within reach that didnt suggest i super-size it. I ordered the Fisherman’s platter which was a blackboard special for the night – which included a choice of soup or salad – i opted for the clam chowder. Clam chowder came with pita on the side. It was delicious! No complaints, scraped the bowl clean with my pieces of pita! The Fishermen’s platter was really disappointing. For an 18 buck plate, i expect my meal to reflect the price in quality. What i got lacked such. The shrimp skewer was by far the highlight but didnt have any defining characteristics to hold the dish. The spanakopita, forgettable – prob a warm up something or other from restaurant depot. The crab meat in the clam shell was nearly inedible, and had the strangest consistency. The salmon was cooked perfectly however, i was definitely not a fan of the«ketchup and caper» sauce smothering it. Overall, the place is okay, but i’m sure i could have saved a few bucks, lowered my expectations, and gone to ruby tuesdays next door and be much more satisfied.

I’ve ordered Tapas catering many times in the past(really all for grad school events) but haven’t actually eaten in the Bloomfield restaurant until today. Everything was perfect. We stopped in for lunch after running an errand in Simsbury and were immediately seated and greeted by our awesome waitress.(an older woman — wish I could remember her name!) We started with a half order of the Mediterranean salad platter… and between two people, it turned out to be a decent amount of food, so I can’t imagine what the full platter looks like. Anyway, the plate was heaped iwth hummus, bulgar, vegetarian moussaka, tabouli, stuffed grape leaves, kalamata olives, pepperoncini and feta cheese — served with tons of pita. A delicious starter… or tappetizer, as they call ‘em. I continued with a beef gyro — while I was kinda surprised that they only offered beef and chicken(instead of lamb), the beef was actually a succulent beef-lamb blend with tons of flavor. VERY tasty, and obviously smothered with tzatziki. Nick ordered grilled lamb patties — a mixture of fresh ground lamb seasoned with garlic, onions, dill and Mediterranean spices, served in pocket bread with lettuce, tomato, onions, and tzatziki… also served with waffle fries, which I’m a total sucker for. ALSO — the ‘kicked up’ Greek ketchup at tapas is pretty delightful. Spicy & tangy! All in all — great experience. Service was quick and personable, food delicious, and the restaurant had a nice amount of lunchtime activity.
