I won’t go back! I used to come here more then twice a week almost two years ago Recently, I’ve been just ordering pickup and decided to make a girls night and made reservation for Friday night at 8:30 the problems started when we walked in with them losing my reservation. After, they found my reservation(I had to show him my phone to see I had called the Wednesday before) he had to put a table together. we waited over 10 minutes for water(by the way someone who came in after had water before us) the food is ok but I’ll never be back

Just went here a couple weeks ago. Ordered spring rolls green curry and pad see ew and chicken rama for 50 $. It was expensive. Food was flavorless and made without care. This used to be the best thai in the area. What happened? Food was so bad I through away all the leftovers. Sad day in the neighborhood.

The tom yum soup was a little too acidic for my taste. The pad thai could have more flavor. The pineapple fried rice was average.

This place has a nice atmosphere. Very small so I would recommend making reservations. For appetizers the coconut shrimp is my favorite and the spring rolls are excellent! The main dish I got pad thai king sod. So flavorful as well as any rice dish. You can accomodate what vegtables or meats you wish. For the dessert my favorite is the fried avaocado ice cream! The sticky rice is pretty good and filling. I think this is the best thai restaurant in the area.

Stopped in for lunch today at this unassuming spot on the corner right across from the A&P parking lot. Parking is tricky on the street so your best bet would be to park in the parking lot across the street. We arrived at noon and were the first customers for lunch. No one greeted us. Instead we had to poke our head in the window by the kitchen and ask if they were open which was kinda awkward. No biggie though, since, once they knew we were there the service was great. Never felt rushed but certainly never forgotten about either. The place itself is definitely tiny but décor is cute and warm. I had the tom yum soup which came as an option(or salad) with the chicken pad Thai. Only 8 bucks was definitely a good deal for the amount of food I got. Quality was good too. I got it hot and it definitely had a kick to it without being excessively hot. My brother got the green curry and gobbled it up. He said his had quite the kick to it and thankfully our server advised him to get it mild versus medium since green curry itself tends to be spicier. He also opted for the salad with his lunch and also ordered us some lumpia. Yum. Not greasy and filled generously with meat. Definitely an above average Thai experience. Will return for dinner(and reservation) with a bottle of vino.

I liked it. Seems like a big take out place. Food was pretty good! FOOD: My dad and I ordered the Pad Thai(hottest level), which was spicy but not super hot Thai-style spicy like I think my dad hoped. Good overall, but I wish they gave lime with it(I probably could have asked for it but didn’t). We also had a chicken peanut curry(name escapes me but it was the first curry listed on the menu). This was different than most curries I’ve had. Comes with fried chicken and a thicker, sweet peanut sauce. We got the medium spicy and it wasn’t spicy at all to me. I liked it because it was different, but if you’re looking for a classic Thai curry this isn’t it. AMBIANCE: Well decorated. The place is small so it feels a little cramped(small seating areas), but it’s nice. My dad and I were the only ones there for dinner until three other groups showed up around 7. SERVICE: Not bad, but could be a little better. The waitress(which kept changing, I think it’s family run) didn’t realize we were drinking wine out of cups because they hadn’t offered glasses. Very nice people though! TIP: BYOB! Perks of how difficult it is to get a liquor license in NJ.

Finally decided to(with great willpower) abstain from Binh Duong, which is across the street, to try out this Thai establishment. Not disappointed. Cozy, casual little restaurant with an affordable menu — not the cheapest around but won’t cost you an arm and leg either for some decent curry or pad thai. And the portions are generous. The pad thai was heaping with noodles and my red curry had plenty of protein. Both dishes were flavored and cooked very well. I’m a lightweight when it comes to spicy foods and the curry at «mild» was hitting near my upper tolerance limit, but once I settled into the dish it was not problem at all polishing off all that curry goodness. Value-wise, I’d still go to Binh Duong for my Asian noodle fix, but Spice Thai is a worthwhile alternative for those who are really craving Thai food. Parking can be challenging although there is a small strip mall with free parking across the busy street. There is a minimum credit card charge which can make one aggravated as many of the entrees are $ 2 – 3 short of the minimum so if you’re eating alone, maybe get a dessert or something to go.

Good, quick, nicely, priced Thai food. I called in a take out order and they said it would take fifteen minutes, which is about the time it takes for me to drive, so it was great. I like ll the plants outside. I think it gives it a rustic vibe. I hope they keep those around as long as possible. Inside was more elegant than I expected, but very few tables and no where to really wait around if the tables are full. I’d be weary to eat in at a busy time. The flat noodle basil dish I ordered was something new for me as I usually go for pad Thai, but it tastes great and was very filling with veggies, big noodles, and chicken. I do kind of wish I stuck with pad Thai to see how it compares to others. It was a little annoying the credit card minimum is $ 15 which is high compared to others. Good thing I had enough cash. There is only street parking but not on one side. There are side streets and a shopping plaza across the street that should be fine. I will definitely be back to check out some other dishes.

I. LOVE. THIS. PLACE. The best Thai food I’ve had and I’ve been to many Thai restaurants in NY, DC, and NJ. they actually make the food spicy for me !!! Thai restaurants will not make it spicy for me ever ! They think I can’t handle it because I’m American! Update: I go to this restaurant to dine-in and take out. You would think after being there several times and my boyfriend going even more times we would get some sort of consistent service or food. Every time we order the flat basil noodle dish, it comes out different as well as the Bangkok rice. Sometimes its barely spicy but the other night it was extraordinarily spicy. So it’s hard to order to correct spiciness when you don’t know what you’re going to get. We always get Thai hot, but half the time it’s not very spicy. Some more consistency in the cooking of their dishes would be nice.

Solid Thai food in a very cozy, peaceful environment with great service. Came here on a Tuesday afternoon for lunch with a girlfriend. We were actually surprised when we stepped in by how cute the décor was; it would work well for a laidback date night. It is rather small though, and I doubt the restaurant can seat more than 20 – 25 people. We were promptly seated and perused the menu. Weekday lunch specials include a salad or tom yum soup with an entrée. The cost is $ 8(plus extra if you get shrimp for your protein) and the deal lasts till 3pm. It’s a very good deal. I got the Thai salad and Red Curry with Pork. The salad was a simple mix of green with cucumbers and tomato and peanut sauce. The red curry(which I asked for mild) was served with a generous portion of rice and pork. The sauce was deliciously savory and there was a nice mix of eggplabt, green beans, red bell pepper, and bamboo. My friend got the Tom yum soup and the Pad See Ew with Beef. I didn’t try the soup but it had a good amount of mushrooms and other fillers; basically, ot was much more thab just broth. Her entrée was really good. The broad noodles were perfectly cooked with sauce and there were delicious bits of savory scrambled eggs and beef. This restaurant is very generous with their portions of protein. We also ordered a Thai iced tea and a Thai iced coffee. I really liked the Thai iced tea; good flavor, and not too sweet. A regular drink costs $ 2.50 or you can get it without ice for $ 3.50. I thought the regular portion was fine. They don’t overdo the ice so I doubt the extra dollar gets you much more tea/coffee if you omit the ice. Overall we had a great meal and there was so much food I actually took some home. It’s not food that’ll knock your socks off, but it’s standard dishes executed well for a very fair price. The waiters were unobtrusive and the service was prompt and polite. Note: credit minimum is $ 15 and they don’t take Amex. Also, street parking in the front is limited but there are two shop centers across the street so you can park at either one and walk.

I hate to disagree with the raving reviews. Perhaps we came on an off night, but the food was aweful. I tried a basic flat noodle thai basil with chicken… it was interesting having chicken used as a cardboard texture against the molten lava hot mush of the noodles. There was literally no heat or dimension to speak of, just a TON of vinegar and salt. As Chinese say, «Mama must have been mad.» Still, the 2014 Zagat sticker stares me blatantly in the face, so like I said, I hope it was just an off night.

Nice place to date. Ambience is great. I love their Thai iced tea. Chicken and shrimp dumplings pan fried for appetizer were so delicious. I had the best duck roll. My gf and I ordered grilled beef salad and bangkok fried rice for our main entreés. Table area and restroom were clean and neat. Temperature was perfect. Waiter and waitresses are nice and friendly. Great overall dinner experience.

Had a lovely lunch here today with a friend. Their lunch specials are great! I had the Pad Pak with beef, and my friend had Pad Thai with chicken. They gave us salads first. The dressing was a tad sweet but very good. My food was fantastic. The vegetables were crisp and fresh. The sauce was delicious. I’m just sorry it’s taken me so long to try this place because it’s great. Service was excellent, too. Try it, you’ll like it!

I’ve drove by this place a million times and just laughed because it’s like on the front of a house, but I’m not laughing anymore. If the world was going to end tomorrow, I would make sure tonight was spent eating dinner here. This was my first Thai experience and I refuse to go anywheres else because I do not want to be disappointed. I would not think twice to invest in this place if they wanted to expand. It’s a tiny, yet relaxing atmosphere with great service and PHENOMENAL food. I can sit here all day and talk about how great it is, but there’s no need too. Get in your car and go. I could eat here everyday. The prices are even better. Things I’d recommend: EVERYTHING my favorites are: Coconut Shrimp and Calamari Apps Pad Kao Pro Level 7 and Udon Noodles Entrees Thai Iced Tea

Tip: reservations only restaurant It’s a small restaurant with a busy décor, but the food and service is great! We started our meal with the small appetizer sampler and papaya salad. The sampler was perfect for four people to have a little taste of everything. There wasn’t one appetizer or sauce that was bad. My mother in law loved that there was a lot of seafood in the salad(and said it tasted really good) but wished there was more papaya in it. It was my first time trying papaya salad, and I enjoyed it. For our entrées: 1) Pineapple fried rice — good but my M.I.L. thought it was just okay. 2) Pad Thai with chicken — very good, better than the shrimp pad thai 3) Pad Thai with shrimp 4) Pad see ew with chicken — amazing flavor, but noodles were a bit overcooked 5) whole fried snapper — everyone’s favorite dish If you like Thai food, this restaurant is a place you should come try.

3.5 It’s been a while since I had stepped foot into Spice Thai, so I had decided to come here for dinner the other evening. I’m sorry to rip them of one and a half stars from my last review, but Friday’s dinner experience was not impressive. My bf and I rolled in around 6pm with no reservations and were lucky to score a table. We were told that the table needed to be returned at 7:45 for a reservation. We of course didn’t mind. A carafe of water was immediately dropped off at the table and soon enough we had placed our order. As per our usual, we had order the CRISPYWHOLEFISH to share, and to switch things up, an order of CHICKEN&SHRIMPDUMPLINGS. The food was decent this time around, although not perfect. The CHICKEN and SHRIMP dumplings were a bit dry and dense for something we had ordered«Steamed.» Our GARLIC sauce on our whole fish was rather salty than usual and SNAPPER was a little over-fried. Lastly, the BANGKOKDELIGHT dessert, was rather quite sweeter than I had remembered. What really disappointed me most of all that night was the service. There were three people tending to the front of the house that night, a young man, and older woman, and a young lady. We unfortunately had the young lady. She was so unsure of herself and all over the place. I had watched her tend to the table next to us to make sure it wasn’t just our table. First she didn’t remember the types of whole fish available for frying and had difficulty taking down our order without us pointing at the menu to make sure she got it down correctly. She forgot to follow up on how everything came out, but above all, gave us the bill without offering dessert. The table next to us clearly brought in a 6-pack of beer in black plastic bag, and didn’t intuitively think to bring them a bottle opener when she brought them their carafe of water. The customers had to ask for it. What happened to Dawn??? Sorry Rongee.

This was the second time for me at spice. The first time I was not impressed at all. The noodles in the pad Thai were over cooked and the dish lacked flavor. This time we ordered take-out and I had the chicken satay and chicken pad Thai. The seasoning was on point and the peanut sauce was the perfect combination of spicy sweet. I was definitely right in giving them a second chance. Not much parking in the area, unless you use the strip mall parking lot across the street. Restaurant is small and usually not crowded during weekdays.

The only reason why I’m giving this great restaurant 4 stars is because it was pretty cold the whole time I was having dinner there. Perhaps it was because we were sitting right by the window other then that the service has always been great. This was my 3rd time. I of course ordered my favorite pineapple fried rice, amazing. I highly recommend it. For appetizers we had the coconut shrimp and the Thai chicken wings. A MUST try! For desert we tried 3 different flavor scoops of ice cream they were all delicious. The Thai tea is also yummy but It’s also BYOB so be sure to bring your favorite bottle! The bathroom it’s also just as cute as the place, clean and they had a nice candle. Our waiter I believe his name was Chris was super courteous, and helpful when we had questions about certain items on the menu. I will most definitely be coming back soon !
