Okay first off it took literally FOREVER for us to get our food and secondly a young black waitress I think her name was Naome spilled a coke on me and I was wet the whole time!!! I spoke to the manager and he said the meal would be free which we(me and my husband) figured was a nice effort to do the right thing. At the end of our meal(we got milkshakes to go), she told us she’d bring us the bill… only my salad had been taken off. We asked to speak to the manager again. He said why would the whole meal be complimentary? I got up and said because my leggings are still wet?! And he said is that why you got the milk shakes? My husband said no and the manager preceded to take my milkshake off the bill but that was it. We paid and left. Will DEFINITELY not be going back!

Been coming here for years. Waitstaff are always«friendly“Wish they had the chicken pot pie. Today I had the munchies mania appetizer platter which was delicious. Waffle cheese fries with bacon bits, little mozzarella sticks, two sliders. So good. Theyre ice cream is amazing .Mint chocolate chip is where it’s at. This place is the best.

I went to grab a quick dinner and decided to pay Friendly’s a visit since I haven’t been here in a while. Mind you I figured it would be a short visit where I could sit down for a bit and then eat my food so I could get back home to take an important call from overseas. Not only was that not the case but it took over 15 minutes to get me my appetizer and another 25 minutes to get my ice cream. In fact, by the time I got my mozzarella sticks they were somewhat lukewarm. The waitress I got today was named Jennifer(or at least that’s what it says on my receipt). She spent her time talking about her life and school to anyone at the counter who was willing to talk and listen, and I think that led to her not paying attention to her tables. She would chat up anyone instead of doing work. How do I know this? I know this because at a time that the highest number of people in here was less than eight(this place could seat at least 40), I could hear her from my seat and the service was so slow that all I could do was sit there and listen. She wasn’t very attentive at all and it took her 30 minutes to notice I needed her attention. Typically while not required many waiters/waitresses will ask you if everything is okay, but she didn’t bother asking me if anything turned out okay. She asked me if I wanted a water refill after noticing my water was all gone and I said yes, but she didn’t even come to refill my water as I sat for a good 10 minutes. In fact, she completely forgot until I asked her when she brought the check, and she acted as if I never asked. I usually am very generous with my reviews but this visit was a huge letdown. Not sure if this was an off night but it was definitely tied for the worst experience I’ve had here. Probably better off coming at peak hours. Will probably not be back for a while. I expected an overseas phone call and now I will most likely miss it… Oh well. I’ve usually given very generous tips even at that one visit that turned bad, but I couldn’t get myself to give anything worthy of saying«you did a fine job.» I usually tip 40% here(yes you read right) because people are very friendly, but I felt that this person didn’t have a desire to do her job, and she didn’t even do more than the bare minimum to get me my food. It hurts me to write a negative review like this because usually I don’t, but I had nothing good to say about the experience. I was hoping to leave with a smile on my face but would have to say I left quite disappointed. Since I am not coming back for a while I think it’s fine that I paid FULLPRICE for those appetizers even though it was past 8(½ price). Yeah, it was that bad that I completely ignored that fact.

Stopped in to celebrate a run with a few ice cream sundaes. I can’t speak to the food yet as we only ordered ice cream. The Reese’s pieces sundae was delicious. Good balance of fudge and peanut butter sauce. Could have used some Reese’s pieces throughout the sundae rather than just on top. Vanilla ice cream was smooth and creamy and just the right consistency. The Hunka Chunka PB sundae was excellent too. Lots of peanut butter sauce through out with cookie crunch and broken Reese’s cups.

I think Friendly’s is in need of a make over. They all seem so out dated. Even for old fashioned ice cream polar themed restaurants. I get it but the place feels old. Jonny rockets has a old theme but looks cleaner and more up to date than Friendly’s. The service was decent bc i had a good server. I had the endless shrimp and a chicken tender kids meal for my kid. The ice cream sundae was awesome. We really enjoyed everything.

The food here is pretty good. The ice cream is much better. Decent service but the waitress made a mistake with our bill two times and there wasn’t much attention to detail here. We needed napkins and more juice and water, and the waitress took a long time to come back and check up on us. On a scale of 1.0 to 10.0 I give this place a 6.1.

I can’t say this was a great experience. I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I wanted dinner at around 8 on a Saturday and wanted to go some place we wouldn’t have to wait to be seated. It was surprisingly crowded, but it still took some time to be acknowledged that the hostess stand and even longer to be acknowledged when seated. If it’s my first time here and I can look through the whole menu and pick out what I want to eat before someone asks about drinks, that’s not a good sign. I’ve been in busier places where someone at least says they will be with you. My boyfriend finally flagged down a waitress and asked where our server was and she said she’d take our order. Then as soon as she leaves I hear a waiter ask why she took his table. Sure he had never come by but he was right there to complain when someone else helped us. The 2 for $ 20 is a good price although the entrees are limited and everything is fried. I get it’s not going to have as many options as a Chilis with the same offer, but still it was like 2 burgers, a salad with fried chicken, chicken strips, and fried clams. The food was mediocre low level diner food and the service continued to be slow. The redeeming part was the meal came with 2 small sundaes, and the nuts over caramel sundae was delicious. It was just the right amount of salty and sweet and smooth and the perfect way to indulge. Recommendations: Just come here for the sundaes, or buy yourself a tub of Friendly’s in the grocery store. There’s nothing about the food that is noteworthy enough to come back for.

We did the appetizer sampler of onion rings, mozzarella«bits» and loaded fries. Don’t get loaded fries, the cheese tasted like it came out of a can. Really weird & nasty. Just get regular fries. Mozzarella sticks are tiny in size, but there were enough of those. Again, weird. Only the onion rings were okay. I would not get appetizers from any friendly’s again. We got 2 for $ 20 entrees: Chicken tender salad and burger were both good. Especially, the salad was humongous. I would get this deal again here. The ice cream included with the 2 for $ 20 deal was a good size. The kitkat topping was generously done. Food came out slowly even though the place wasn’t crowded(Wednesday night for dinner). Our waitress was very nice and respectful but inexperienced. Joined BFF for a 25% off, and I have to say that the discount brings the price down to meet the value. If it wasn’t for the discount, I would feel seriously cheated with the poorly prepared appetizers and slow speed, and would lower my ratings.

Okay for semi fast food however food was mediocre and portions were small. My friend has the endless shrimp and each request had less and less shrimp. Not very friendly either.

The food here is not as good as I remember it to be, which is why I never come here for dinner! The food is greasy and not worth spending a dime on to be honest. I gave 3 stars only because the ice cream is good!

Weve come to this Friendlys for over 30 yesrs. We remember the clock in the waiting area, the mural on the back wall and the manager Ceasar. Tonight we came for dinner and we asked the waitress about their half price apps which started at 8 pm. She said it wasnt time yet because it was 7:57. We asked her a few minutes later to see the app menu. 15 minutes later after she delivered our meals to our table she looked at us and asked us, «ok, so you want to order appetizers… Now?» Geeez… Where do they get these kids!!! If you go to this friendlys ask for Elisa…

This is a friendlys plain and simple I have minimal expectation of this place. Food was the standard friendlys food we really enjoy their new England clam chowder that never disappoints. Our waitress iness or whatever was the bare minimum of friendly zero personality and only checked on us once after she got the hint that we were pretty annoyed with her performance. She brought out my chicken basket with no sauce and it comes with either BBQ or honey mustard. We asked for no ice in our drinks they came loaded with ice. Lastly she rushed the check over while we were still eating I placed it to the side she then came over and asked how I wish to pay sadly if we do return we won’t have her serve us again

I realize it’s a Friendly’s, and I have minimal expectations, but they really need to do a better job of keeping this place clean. The service is all around disinterested in both the serving of food and just tending to the place in general. With all of the other superior options for food and ice cream in the area, I’m not quite so sure how this place remains in business. Everything is ridiculously slow. Way too slow for food that is basically reheated frozen food. I don’t even want to bring my kids here…

The service here absolutely sucks. I was seated then waited 20 minutes for service and no one came by. We left without eating. The place is pretty dirty.

It’s a Friendly’s…pretty standard. When I go, it’s usually a Friday night with my niece and nephew, and there’s almost always a wait, so be prepared with a backup plan if you don’t feel like sticking around. I find that although the place seems a bit disorganized/hectic and the service time totally varies, the servers are always super friendly and happy to make conversation. Not sure if it’s a management issue or something is off in the seating/cooking/delivering timing system, but I have always been pleased by the servers. I do feel like the prices tend to add up quickly, so be on the lookout for coupons in those fundraiser coupon books, the newspaper, etc. Tips for those trying to eat healthfully: while I find the grilled chicken too processed for my liking, the turkey melt/salad combo is a pretty good option, especially if you get the sandwich with no bacon or dressing(trust me, it’s still salty and cheesily flavorful, and yes, the turkey is processed, but to me, deli meat is more appealing than spongy grilled chicken). Also, the create your own burger option includes Boca burgers, so that is another way to get around eating all the fried stuff. The diet cola is always the perfect fizziness, and while the French fries are never great(dry and not salty at all), the mini mozzarella sticks are like little bites of heaven.

Friendly Definition of FRIENDLY 1: of, relating to, or befitting For years I have avoided Friendly’s, I’ve never liked this chain, even back when we were all less«health conscious» I found Friendly’s offerings antagonistic… It was kid’s night to pick and my sister and I found ourselves off to Friendly’s. I tried to remain optimistic, after all the parking lot for this Friendly’s is always full, that has to be a good sign, no? Friendly’s has probably followed the suit of other places and has probably revamped their menu, right? Spruced up a bit maybe? The answer is no. Walking into friendly’s was like stepping back in time. The place has that«stuffy — crowded» feel that I remember all Friendly’s having. The menu offerings are the same heavy, grease-y options I remember. Kids ordered from the kids menu Cheeseburger sliders and chicken skewers. The presentation was very nice. The cheeseburgers and chicken fingers in skewers. The chicken fingers, were your standard fried chicken fingers, the cheeseburger sliders… Well lets just say was a shade of red I am not accustomed to seeing burger patties be. Glad kids got the«Friendly’s experience» out of their system. Now just have to avoid all Friendly’s advertising(It was the ice cream that brought us here). Will not be going back. Would rather do McDonalds and I am not a McD’s fan either.
