Wow! Another fantastic meal at the Redbud. It was crazy busy so we had to wait awhile to get our food but when it arrived it was spot on as usual. Healthy, fresh, and delicious! Can’t go wrong with anything. Chicken salad and pear salad my mom had minestrone soup with her sandwich– yum!

Absolutely awesome! Yes, there will be a wait. Yes, it is worth it! Lavender lemonade and the classic Reuben sandwich with a side of potato salad. The lemonade was the most delightful lemonade I’ve ever tasted and the Reuben was perfect in every way. Staff was polite. Restaurant was clean and casual. Many choices on the menu under $ 10. They also carry every kind of real ale beer that is manufactured, on tap. Totally worth the drive if you feel like taking a little day trip to Blanco!

I love this place! Stopped for lunch with my girls, on a cold Saturday. We got Root Beer, yummy sandwiches, and very good soup. My wife makes incredible soups at home, so it’s hard for me to make a fair review of other soups. I love the Red Bud Café, for a wholesome meal, small town décor, and excellent location. It’s hard to beat the Blanco town square, for a small town experience. The Red Bud is a favorite for travelers like me, and locals too. Very friendly folks behind the counter, who always seem enriched by interacting with my kids. They really love families at the Red Bud. Oh, I almost forgot the coffee! Excellent selections of coffee — regular brews, not those fancy«big city» types of coffee drinks. Good cup of Joe in a small town Café with my kids… You can’t beat it!

Nice café, food was good and decent little kids menu. We had the hamburgers and kiddo had a grilled cheese sandwhich. Didn’t get a chance to try a pastry, but they sure looked good. If you like the retro mexican tablecloths, pop next door to the store and they have about 25 to choose from and are sold by the yard. I brought two for my dining table! Look forward to returning.

Great food, awesome people and Real Ale! Love this place and the atmosphere it has to offer. I currently live in Houston and when I come back to my hometown of Blanco I love stopping at Redbud. The«Blaze of Glory Burger» is definitely my favorite.

Seriously my favorite place to eat when I’m in town. I don’t think there is a place around that can compete! The food, atmosphere and overall feel is amazing! True Texas hill country right here. The lavender lemonade is the best! All of their burgers are great and the salads and sandwiches(especially the Ruben) are equally as good! My favorite– Axis burger w/coleslaw on the side and a lavender lemonade

Sandwich was average white bread, average deli meat, nothing special, not heated or anything. Quich was very good. Service was fine. Hubby was unimpressed, not likely to return.

This is my first Unilocal check in here but not my first visit. This place simply rocks! The staff is ALWAYS friendly and prompt, refreshing. The first thing is this super Blueberry Soda from Maine, appropriately named Maine Root Soda! I don’t really care for soda at all but this stuff is good. My lunch was the Fish Wrap in wheat! A hint of celantro and cabbage and this wrap is tasty. The tortilla chips and Mango Salsa on the side are amazing! Great meal, great place to stop. A Must Do! Thanks for another great meal Red Bud!

The combination of the Redbud Chicken Salad sandwich with the Creamy Potato Soup was excellent! I’m going to get some Snickerdoodles on the way out, as well.

Just another reason to love Blanco. Bacon Bleu Cheese burger is so, so good! So satisfying. Besides the great food, this is the best staff in town– hands down! They are fast, friendly and even when the place is packed, make you feel like you are the only one.

I ordered the chicken salad sandwich. I was big. I only ate half of it. The chicken salad was nice and chunky with good variety of ingredients. I would recommend it. Overall, I give this place high marks. Clean, bright, large with very friendly and attentive staff. They have a wide selection of hot and cold sandwiches, burgers and homemade soups of the day. The prices are reasonable for what you get in portion size and quality. It’s more of a lunch place I’d say. If you are in Blanco at lunch time, stop by.

I’m not sure why I waited so long to try redbud(I’ve lived in Blanco my entire life), but I finally tried it a few days ago. It was good! A friend and I went for lunch and I got the honey mustard chicken sandwich and my friend got the pimento cheese sandwich. All sandwiches get a side, and there are plenty of options, from fresh fruit to chips & salsa. My chicken sandwich also had ham and it was delicious. I would order it again, and I will, but I do want to try their quiche as well. My friend’s pimento cheese sandwich was huge! Like the size of two normal sized sandwiches. The lavender lemonade is refreshing and light. Can’t wait to come again soon! Maybe I’ll get a cookie next time as well, because those looked delightful. We went around 11:30am on a weekday, it never got overwhelmingly busy or loud.

Just happened into this café and thoroughly impressed. The Blanco Burger is excellent. My wife and daughter had sandwiches which were very big and delicious. The Redbud Café will definitely be a future stopping point when traveling this way. BTW… They have all the Real Ale beer options on tap and have a Beer Flight.

After a long day of hunting I drove into Blanco for dinner. Was tired of eating Mexican food or eating at the bowling alley so I uncharacteristically tried the Red Bud Café knowing that it may be a little too foo foo for my liking. Place was very busy but I was served quickly. Everything had a clean look to it and staff were pleasant and attentive. The Reuben sandwich and potato salad side was great! They had a folk band duo live which really made it nice. I will definitely be back.

This is a comfy little spot on the town square. I’ve stopped here a few times visiting from San Antonio and it’s connected to a nice gift shop as well. I had an excellent bacon and blue cheese burger with delicious coleslaw yesterday, I know some folks have commented that this place is pricey, but 8.95 for a burger of that quality was quite reasonable. Also had a piece of cheese cake, they make some wonderful desserts here as well. Not to mention they have 12 Real Ale taps, and it’s fresh since the brewery is less than two miles away. I like the feel and ambiance of this place, what I envision when I think of Texas Hill Country.

OMG. Amazing. Gourmet food in an old little town storefront. Incredible. Had the hamburger with poblano+cheese. Maybe best hamburger I’ve ever had? Bread was incredible, cooked perfectly. I will go back here again and again just to eat this hamburger. The salad with homemade greek dressing, I think, was also incredible. Loved the Real Ale beers on tap, amazing selections. Loved this place at good prices, too.

Situated in the original Blanco Hardware Store in Blanco’s historic square this place doesn’t look like much from the outside, but don’t judge this book by it’s cover. Inside you walk into a open, low key, community centric space. This place is the local pub, café, and market. You can pick up items to go, or sit and enjoy a bite and sip. They serve on tap a full selection of the local Real Ale Brew, or you can purchase 6 packs to take away. They also have some local wines available to purchase by the glass or bottle. The food is made fresh each day with local products, which are mostly organic. They even have Udi gluten free bread that you can opt to have any sandwich or burger made on. They also roast their own coffee beans. Live music can be enjoyed most Friday or Saturday evenings. As both owners are potters by trade, you will find the café space shared directly with the pottery store next door. When we entered we were immediately warmly greeted by one of the staff members. He was a local Blanco resident and super informative and helpful. We went up to the counter and ordered our food, were given a number, we paid for the food and then found a table to go sit at. The chicken salad sandwich was delicious. I am not a big fan of Udi bread, so next time I will just get a naked chicken salad sandwich. Because the sandwich innards were fresh, had a perfect balance of ingredients, and light on the mayo. The Udi bread itself was tasteless and crumbled to bits in seconds. The lemonade was also tangy and freshly squeezed. Overall a great meal for a great price. I will definitely return here again.
