Great place to fuel up and also stay the night, we were cruising the san jaun islands and we had a great time at Blakley, WELOVETHEDONUTS, and at night the locals come down for an ice cream social. Love this spot on a yacht. But has a runway for your plane also. Mikey V

I really liked this small marina. Why did I give them 3 stars you ask? The whole outfit needs a bit of updating and feels a bit like a campground rather than a marina. The staff also seemed real scattered from the moment we got there. I will say this though, they had a barbecue dinner and the burger I got was fantastic! I don’t know how they seasoned it but it was great! It was accompanied by a side of potato salad that was also really good. Be warned that the marina and entrance get real SHALLOW! Watch the tides!

The marina is cute and quaint and the bathrooms appear to be recently updated. They offer fuel and the store has some tackle/crabbing supplies as well as a gourmet coffee selection, burgers burritos, etc. Very friendly staff. Nice idyllic yard out front, and on Friday and Saturday the whole community shows up for burger BBQ. Good beer selection, great people, boats and BBQ. Worth a visit.

The one thing that boats in the San Juan Islands, on vacation for more than a week, need most is the ability to refill their water tanks. A few years ago the Blakely Island Marina’s gas dock decided that they would deny this service. This has nothing to do with the water supply(they water their lawns and provide water at their overnight marina). Like most boaters, I never just«take on water» but always show my appreciation by buying fuel and groceries. Their refusal to provide water can only be construed as rude and unfriendly. I used to stop there almost every year but they can keep their water now(and I’ll keep my money for friendlier folks in Friday Harbor).

Good grief, I used to love the stop in at Blakely to get snacks & fuel, now it’s a nightmare I won’t do again. Last two stops the fuel didn’t work nor was there anyone to help. I think the store is great but was told the HOA oversees the fuel(which they don’t) & the store is separate… figure it out you guys! There is no way you can operate a separate fuel/general store operation… I’m done with you guys until you figure it out. I’ll just continue to Friday or Anacortes

Dear Blakely Island Marina, Thanks for not returning our multiple calls,(via radio AND cell phone), it was great fun crossing our fingers at low tide that we didn’t collide into an outbound boat. And thanks for not having anybody on the dock to greet & help tie up our boat, that was super thoughtful. You are a spendy private island, yet offer lackluster basic service? I don’t get it. –SARA The non-private area brags a small general store attached to nice wash rooms,(available to us smelly boaters). There is also a fire pit, multiple picnic tables, and a covered barbeque area complete with a large brick grill, fridge, and stainless steel sink. The general store offers basic cleaning necessities and toiletries. Cereal and gobs of junk food line the shelves,(being vegan, I don’t recall many– if any– options). There is an ice-cream & candy counter catering to the local kids. Blakely Island is definitely where you should end up if you crave quiet time. The occasional sea plane will cause a ruckus from time to time, but nothing too notable. The scenery is gorgeous; I took almost 200 sunset photos. If you’re looking for wild adventure, keep looking. If you’re looking for silence and solitude, welcome!
