JKB Cakes

Great cake shop! They specialize in wedding cakes and they have examples you can look at in the store. I haven’t bought a wedding cake there (as I’ve been married for 13 years) but everything else is great! What I think sets them apart from major stores is the customer service.
The first time I went in there was because I always see it on the side of the road on my way to and from work. I wanted to try them out so I went in. They have a decent assortment of cakes and cookies ready to go and they also have «cakes in a jar» which you can pick one up as a snack. They were only a few dollars so I decided to get one but didn’t see the sign that they only run credit if you purchase something over $ 10 (totally understandable as a small business). The owner/​chef was very polite and told me I can go ahead and have it and to pay for it the next time I come in for a cake. THAT WAS ALMOST SIX MONTHS AGO!
Today I came in to pick up a cake for my wife’s birthday. I didn’t order it or anything (I know, shame on me) but was able to pick out a nice pre-​made one on display. I asked if he could write something on it real quick and he said «of course» and he walked into the back. 30 seconds later (yes, I timed him) he came out with the cake with the writing on it and it looked like I had ordered it!
I told him to charge me for one of the «cakes in a jar» and he said he remembered when I came in. So I got a three layer cake with filling, custom writing, and a «cake in a jar» for less than $ 20. My wife loved the cake and consequently, I’ll be coming here for all my future cake needs and I’ll be referring people to here as well.
