I have been going to MBP in Blaine for over ten years and I cannot believe the poor reviews this business has received. The proprietor and her assistant have always done their very best to accommodate my deliveries here. I find the charges for parcels, including seven very large framed pieces of artwork, very reasonable. If you are mailing parcels it is better to go to the post office in Blaine but for mail pick up for all those Canadians, including myself you could not find a more convenient and reasonable place to do business. Great service from a couple of very hardworking individuals. I highly recommend.

Convenient location, right off the Peace Arch crossing. Seems to be part of a home, used as an office so it isn’t fancy. Does have your own mailbox section to check into on the right side. sell some local artists jewellery. but it’s not a handy location on weekends, they close at 3pm! Nice lady though. reasonable rates, even for Canadian dollar 10%, I can live with that.

I have been a customer for years .I have read all those negative comments about her fees. What do you expect that she will hold your boxes for ever for a ten dollar annual fee. Hannah and her staff are great .I have never lost a box and receive unto 15 boxes a month some months and I am pleased to pay her 2 per box .For those that don’t mind a few minute wait on busy Saturdays then go elsewhere there are tons of PO box places in Blaine.

Horrible service ever. Hanna who signed as receiving our package for a rush Saturday delivery insisted the package didn’t arrive even after we received confirmation via UPS online with her name signed as the receiver. She yelled at us in front of customers as we were on the phone with UPS to find where our important package was. We stayed up to 1 hour finally letting us go to into the back to look for it ourselves in the storage. What a mess back there! No organization whatsoever. Guess what we found it within 5 secs! Ridiculous! 1 hour to finally locate our own package. Closed our account with mail boxes plus immediately. No apologies at all came out of Hanna. Never ever do business with Mail Boxes Plus.

I have been with BMP for around 3 years. I live on Vancouver Island but work in Vancouver. I buy a lot of eBay stuff and also Amazon etc. I used to get most of my packages shipped to my place in Nanaimo or Vancouver but when USPS raised their rates I realized I could save a lot of money by picking my packages up in Blaine. Most of the things I get are either free shipping or $ 10 to $ 20 cheaper to ship to Blaine. Only once was there a mistake on my fees and it was a busy day there plus I had around 14 parcels to pick up, the error was $ 4 and the owner looked it over and immediately gave me my money back. I make money by using their service and also fill up my tank in Blaine to save $ 7 as well! Plus nobody has mentioned that they will throw out all your unwanted packaging as well, no charge. Great place.

Meh. I’ve gone with my friend to pick things up here before … the limited hours to pick up packages drives me insane!

This place is fantastic. You literally could not get a place closer to the border(btw, the Google map here is incorrect, 477 Peace Portal Dr is just off the freeway on the right when coming south). The owner was very clear with me about the fees over the phone when I signed up. I researched a bunch of places in the area and found no others cheaper for the type of service they offer. If you want a regular post office box — go to the Post Office(slightly cheaper). If you want package delivery service, this is your place! Package delivery service is ideal if you don’t get that many packages or if you need a package shipped requiring a signature where a PO box won’t work. There is a $ 10 annual fee which gets you started. Any time you have a package delivered she holds it for you for a small fee($ 2/week for a small package up to 20lbs I think) slightly more, but not much more, for larger packages. This is perfect if you are expecting a package and drive down to pick it up within a week or two. If you want to let it sit there for a couple months, this is probably not for you. If you are shipping yourself a refrigerator or a weight bench, have it delivered to your house why don’t ya. The proprietor is very friendly and straightforward. She is human, if you notice something awry just tell her, she’ll straighten it right out for you with no tension or distress. I’ve never had any issues with Mail Boxes Plus and would recommend it to anyone. Great service, convenient, cheap and friendly.

Vancouver residents often have to get mail from the United States. So this would seem like a tempting option, as it’s right across the border and accepts parcels. Consider another option. This place charges a $ 10 annual fee, which similar businesses with similar prices don’t charge. The business also surprised me with a fee for holding my box. They wanted to charge me $ 14 to pick up two boxes. Then the sales clerk, or possibly the owner, realized she was overcharging me for one that wasn’t there very long. She still wanted to charge me for the storage for another box. I explained I was only told about charges for picking up the box — $ 5 for a box under 20 pounds and $ 10 for boxes over 20 lbs. She insisted I was given a sheet about the extra fees for storage. I told her I signed up over the phone. She ignored me and kept insisting on the higher fees. I said she was accusing me of lying by insisting I received this when I explained I never did. I repeated that I signed up over the phone and she never e-mailed or faxed such a sheet. And I read everything on the Web site. Nothing there about such fees. Well, then se said, «oh, you signed up over the phone. That’s why I don’t like doing phone sign-ups.» Well, FYI Mail Boxes Plus: It’s bad business to essentially call your customers liars. A hostile clerk(or owner) makes this a place I would avoid at all costs.
