What a rude waitress, the skinny bleached blonde one. she was leisurely folding napkins in the back for 5 mins. When I said hello, she shook her head and said she was doing something. Guess owner does not care hiring qualified waitress…

I’ve only ever had their Calzones(though I hear good things about the tots). In my experience, the Calzones are some of the best in Blacksburg. The food quality is pretty good, decent ingredients. Atmosphere isn’t bad, but certainly nothing special(it’s reminiscent of a Pizza Hut. It tastes good, worth the money. I thought it was timely for freshly made food. I’ll certainly be back.

Honestly, I’d rather have a DP dough calzone after a night out then a giant slice of Benny’s. DP Dough make take longer to bake, but it’s very customizable and always fills me up more than any other pizza place. These Calzones are amazing!

I was really on the border about a rating for DP dough. On one hand it’s just a calzone. On the other its not just any old calzone! My favorites were the Buffalo chicken zone and the construction zone with potatoes, steak, and cheese or bacon. Bonus points for delivering even when there’s a blizzard!

NO! RUDE employees, ridiculous business practices, etc. Apparently if you order less, you get charged more. My kids like one thing on their calzone, that makes it MORE expensive than the others because it’s a substitution. Nowhere is it posted that substitutions even cost anything… What a ripoff. Manager says he can’t change the system. BS, you can always change it… Computers aren’t THAT smart. Lost a faithful customer.

Got the Roni Zoni & added ham. An okay calzone, not horrible and definitely not the best I’ve ever had. Would I eat here again? Probably, but it wouldn’t be a first choice for me.

This place is really good! The do not skimp when stuffing your calzone. They’re always cheesy and delicious. I love the speed zone calzone. I just wish it came with more spinach! I’d recommend everyone got it «hooked up» with the Italian cheese and spices on top. It makes it more delicious.

Excellent drunk food or for your light night study munchies… They deliver too so what more could you want. They’re delicate little dough pocket filled with tomato sauce, cheese, and seasoned meat. What more could you want

Great options, not expensive, and one of the best late night drunk-munchies options in Bburg.

Love this place & all of its employees! If Tim, Nick or Alex is making your food, you especially won’t be let down. Decent prices, great food.

Blacksburg is filled with fast-food restaurants, and DP Dough is one of them. DP Dough serves mediocre food: mediocre calzones and mediocre tots. The food definitely fills you up and is worth a try, but it’s certainly not delicious. The restaurant is located in the middle of Downtown Blacksburg. While the location is favorable when you are on campus, it can also act as a discouragement. Since the restaurant is located in Downtown, the parking isn’t as easy as other restaurants in Blacksburg. Because of such inconvenience, I often end up not ordering from DP Dough. All in all, I give 3 stars based on these factors of my experience: 1. Quality of Food(taste? freshness?): 3.5÷5 2. Quantity of Food: 4.5÷5 3. Pricing of Food(compared to other restaurants in Blacksburg): 2⁄5 4. Service: 3⁄5 5. Cleanness: 3⁄5 6. Location: 3⁄5

The calzones are hands-down, the most savory, succulent food you can eat on a frosty Blacksburg night. Head there right after the Hokie basketball or football games, especially if you need to warm up and want comfort food. Hurry! It gets crowded. Eating at this restaurant is a drop-the-mike moment(drops the mike)

Ok place to eat when it’s 3am and nothing else is open. My only problem is that every time I come here late, I have to wait an obscene amount of time for my food. I’m also not a big fan of how hard around the edges their calzones tend to get. I like fattening, oil covered calzones. These are just too dry.

At some point in my college career I forgot about DP Dough… I’m so glad I rediscovered my love for the best calzone in Blacksburg. Nothing ends my night on a higher note than with a buffer zone and a side of ranch. If you love calzones, you will love this place. Also, I recommend the pesto sticks to everyone.

Calzone was great! I had the Speed Zone. They specialize in calzones with breaded chicken. Buffer Zone and BBQ Chicken are their top 2 beat sellers.

I saw the reviews and decided to give DP Dough a try since everyone seemed to love it. My mistake was just looking at the star-rating and not reading the reviews. Apparently the food here only good when you’re drunk. The tater tots I ordered were soggy and some of them weren’t cooked all the way through. The«cheese and bacon» on them was just sad. The bacon made me think of rehydrated bacon bits and the cheese was just a light sprinkle of blandness. I won’t be mean about the calzone; I’m from Buffalo and have really high standards for my pizza and pizza-like objects. I will simply say that the calzone came nowhere near my standards and leave it at that. Sadly, the best thing I ate were the cheesesticks; pizza dough with mozzarella cheese, served with garlic butter. I don’t think I need to say that I won’t be going back but DP Dough is definitely not for me. Maybe if I were drunk more often I’d love it.

This is a drunk review. After a bar crawl in the Burg, this place had only a small line and it was recommended. I got a sausage calzone. I am 95% sure it was good because I Hasselhoffed it immediately when I got home. Staff was great and price was reasonable.
