Service was very poor. We arrived and saw our waiter only when she asked for drinks and then for the check. We ordered soups and she asked if we wanted them right away or when the other food was brought out and we didn’t see our soup until we had to say, «We ordered soup.» We then tasted our food and it was cold and seemed like it had been sitting there for along time.

Bar service after the first beer sucked. It’s 1 pm, Bartender never asked if I wanted a menu or anything else. The place is busy, but she hasn’t checked on me in 40 minutes and I’m sitting at the bar!

I would’ve gotten more enjoyment from dinner if I would have lit the 40.00 on fire or flushed it directly down the toilet. Service was totally inattentive. The waitress was more concerned with talking to other customers comparing tattoos, swearing and talking about her ex girlfriend that had burned her… than she was giving us silverware, napkins, condiments or drink refills. I can forgive bad service if the food is bearable, but this was just the warmup for one of the worst meals we’ve ever paid for. The wife and I were presented with burgers that not only were flavorless… But also must have been cooked in a Bismarck crematorium. They crumbled apart with every bite and were served with unripe tomatoes and the ends of lettuce. The fries also weren’t exempt from disaster. They were dried out under a long life under a heating lamp, or were fries that resided under automobile seats and armrests. Later in my anger over my money wasted this evening I kicked a puppy and beat my wife(sarcasm derrrr). Thanks Gristle Lee’s.

Dirty tables. Scary looking like in my friend’s drinks. Sub par food. Won’t come back to be honest. Service was friendly but nothing to write home about.

Service here was very friendly, but it was not quality. That’s why they get 2 stars instead of one. However, the lack of refills, and the forgotten salad really put a damper on the one potentially good aspect. The food was not good. My medium rare steak was more like well. My fries were old. The food my coworkers ordered was just just as shocking. The cheese on the patty melt wasn’t melted and the brisket sandwich was burnt and very low quality. I would not suggest this place to anyone.

Brought the family here for dinner last night. My husband ordered the walleye, and it was tasteless as if they added no seasoning at all. The breading on the fish was mushy, and not crunchy like it should have been if it were cooked right. I ordered a steak, and I wasn’t asked how I would like it done, so it came out medium well. I ordered the cheesy hash-browns as a side, and they were gross. They were very salty, and tasted like they were seasoned with beef bullion. They also didn’t seem to have any cheese in them, strange, considering they were called cheesy hash-browns on the menu. We paid almost $ 20 for the walleye meal, and the best part was the fries… that’s pretty sad. We won’t ever go back here, huge waste of money.

Wouldn’t seat us for several minutes — mostly empty tables but there were a few people eating — so we went to the next place.

Went here on our first day in Bismarck since we were already shopping in Kirkwood Mall. My salmon did not actually taste like salmon and had possibly been caught several years before it made it to my plate. My mother and I both had salads and did not like our dressings. It has been a very long time since I have had a meal in a restaurant that was downright gross. Then, because we were still shopping in Kirkwood Mall the next day we went back again… I ordered a burger and onion rings which was good and a margarita that was sickeningly sweet. Obviously came from a bottled mix. There aren’t too many options in Kirkwood Mall. I would recommend sticking to the burgers and sandwiches if you end up here.

Excellent sandwiches and great service. Loved it! Had a crispy chicken wrap and a side salad. Both were great. Wife had a BLT that was a double decker. All food was fresh and well prepared.

I worked next door to this resturant for almost three years, so we tended to order to-go quite a bit and my husband & I have been here quite a few times as well. But all in all, I’ve been less than impressed. They tend to get my order wrong and the servers take forever to come back to your table. As Bekki had earlier mentioned, you have to remind them if you need more of something which is frustrating. Although, I have had some good salads here but other than that. The food hasn’t been that great. I think there are better places in Bismarck if you are hungry. But I’ll admit their bar is pretty good and the bartenders know what they are talking about. So just to go hang out in the bar is good.

I really want to like this place more. It’s conveniently located in the mall, and I like the dark wood and the beer on tap. I visit Bismarck to see family and we usually eat there at least once. The servers always act like they are new, taking a long time to bring things we request or forgetting altogether. The food can be good, I remember having a decent salad with chicken once. My last visit I ordered a reuben which had like 3 slices of meat and very little sauerkraut on it. Very disappointing, especially for the price. I asked for mustard and was almost done by the time she brought it(after a reminder). My mom likes this place, so we’ll likely return… I might just stick with beer.

After a quick trip through the mall, we stopped for lunch. There wasn’t much other choice other that fast food. It was okay. Fries are good, soup was so-so and luke warm. Being a vegetarian, I tend to judge restaurants for how many options I feel comfortable with… very limiting here. I hear they have a decent beer list. Maybe a seat at the bar with a good brew and the yummy fries next time.

This place has been hit and miss for me. There chili is some of the best I’ve had, but many of the entrees are a little bland. The service is usually slow and sometimes even a little rude.

When i go there i usually get the same thing, chicken wrap, since it has never been a disappointment. Get the right waiter/waitress and the night goes by great.

We waited over 45 minutes to get a table to accommodate my brother who is in a wheelchair. This was after 1:00 in the afternoon, the place was not crowded at all. Well, okay, so maybe there are rules and we did need a big space on a flat service. The waitress was terrible. We had to get our own silverware at an empty table. I ordered pasta with chicken and broccoli and asked to leave out the chicken since I am a vegetarian. The rest of our party ordered hamburgers and fries. It took almost 45 min. for our food to come and then they left the broccoli out and left in the chicken! I just picked it out, we were starving by then. The coffee tasted like dishwater. Don’t eat here. There are better choices in Bismarck. Even fast food would be better.

Took my grandmother here. Neither of us got what we thought we ordered and whatever it was it wasn’t good. We decided not to make a fuss and left.

If you didn’t know you were in Bismarck, you could be anywhere. this is a surprisingly nice«neighborhood» bar which just happens to be in the Kirkwood Mall. As with most things in Bismarck, it is not hard to find. Great bar area, friendly bartenders and patrons. As I found in a lot of places in the area, most people will strike up a conversation with you and then continue when they find out you are not from the area. Like I said, I ate at the bar both times but the dining room is nicely decorated and seemed to be full both times. One of the local favorites was a beer and tomato juice — didn’t appeal to me. Good menu and the place stays open long after the mall closes. Looking for a casual meal with some TVs, music and friendly people — go to Grizzly’s.
