I’ve always loved chicken salad, and it’s really nice that they have so many options. There’s about 15 or even more varieties of chicken salad here. My favorites would have to be the Classic Carol and Kickin Kay-Lynne. I never thought chicken salad should be spicy, but it was actually a nice kick and had bacon. It’s definitely a great atmosphere for lunch, and my only problem is that I wish it would stay open past 5:00pm!

They cater for an event and the Pimento cheese sandwiches was not that good. The bread was a bit stale. They forgot to provide silverware.

I like Chicken Salad Chick. Some people hype it up a little too much for me but… they do have some ok chicken salad. Very cute décor. You feel like you’re in a tea room. Love it! My favorite is Olivias Old South. Its a mixture of eggs, sweet pickles, & not too much Mayo. Perfect. I personally think the Classic Carol which is their original chicken salad can be a little heavy on the mayo side sometimes so I tend to stay away. They have a nice variety of other flavors so don’t worry about a boring menu. My absolute favorite side is the grape salad. So fresh, sweet, & delicious. I could literally eat an entire pint Lol. The broccoli salad isn’t too bad… I always get it to go so I can toss it in my own vinaigrette at home! Overall, pretty quick service with fresh ingredients. Nice staff. Definitely a cute little lunch spot.

I came for lunch with a group of my colleagues. Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the Olivia ’ s Old South sandwhich and the chicken artichoke soup. Yummy, I am coming back.

First time at this location. Because of the area, parking is a little bit of a challenge, but you can find it. Just don’t park in another business’ lot. I was surprised I did not care for the Fruity Fran chicken salad, as much as the others I have had, but it worked out fine, because my husband really liked it, and I liked his Olivia’s Old South better, so we switched. Broccoli Salad and Grape Salad sides were good, as always. They even accommodated my husband, for his latex allergy, which many restaurants will not do. Thank you, for that. I do wish restaurants would all go to a non-latex glove.

I have only been here once, but to find a place, solely dedicated to chicken salad(they do offer deli sandwiches) was just amazing! It is my favorite sandwich since I was a kid, now I have a place that I can get it by the sandwich, or by the Pound! People behind the register were extremely helpful, and made it easy being a first timer here. I will return, had the traditional Chicken south, and it was good on a croissant.

This is a homey chain restaurant that is super cute and clean. The food is good. I love the buffalo chicken salad which is not super spicy but just has a tiny zing. I understand this style of chicken salad is their signature salad but I wish they had a few chunky chopped chicken salad selections. I am not super fond of the pureed chicken salad similar to pâté. That being said, I will eat there again. It was tasty!

I have been a fan of Chicken Salad Chick ever since it opened in Auburn a few years ago. This location does not disappoint! If you go in during lunch hour, do not be intimidated by the UAB lunch rush. The line moved very quickly, and the wait for food isn’t long. All the chicken salads are great. My personal favorite is the Buffalo Barclay. All the food is fresh, and the service is great. All of the staff I have encountered are very courteous and attentive.

After eating here a few times, I’ve decided I really like this place. Excellent menu choices, not just chicken salad, plus fresh sides and not just a handful of chips or fries. Very fairly priced too. Possibly the only thing close to negative I can conceive is some of the flavors of chicken salad seem slightly repetitive with their ingredients. Amazing quality nonetheless.

I have two major addictions when it comes to food and one just so happens to be chicken salad. So you can imagine I was SO. EXCITED. when I heard Chicken Salad Chick was opening a location just a few blocks from my office! I went here for lunch today and must say I was impressed. The restaurant was spotless and well designed. The employees were all very nice, well put-together, and seemed to enjoy their jobs. I came in at 12:30 and the line was almost to the door. However, it moved quickly and there wasn’t a line at all after that initial rush. The menu is pretty simple; there aren’t too many options of anything except over a dozen varieties of chicken salad! For the non-chicken salad lovers, there are a few options as well, but not nearly the options. Both my SO and I went with the trio plate– a tray of three different kinds of chicken salad. I went with the original, the Julie(can’t remember the name exactly?), and the pimento cheese(no chicken). The SO went with the buffalo, the jalapeño, and the Belle. Our wait after ordering before getting our food was about ten minutes. Not bad, but it could have been faster since they just had to scoop the chicken salad onto our plates. The original chicken salad was my favorite by a good bit. It’s creamy, flavorful, and not dripping in mayonnaise. I can see how they built a restaurant chain around it. The pimento cheese was pretty good, but a bit sweet. The Julie was advertised as being very hot, but I think that’s just because of the small chunks of dried peppers mixed in– for the most part, it was actually a bit bland. Every few bites I would get a bit of heat, but it wasn’t nearly as much as I expected. In total, we spent $ 20 for a very filling lunch for two. There were cheaper options available, so the prices were more than fair. I didn’t get a chance to try any of the sides this time around. However, I will definitely be back. Another great Alabama-based chain!

I’ve eaten at this location twice in its first nine days. The food is good — many unique flavors of chicken salad from which to choose, and yesterday my friend had a turkey hoagie that he enjoyed. At this location I’ve tried the Fancy Nancy(delicious) and the Luau Lydia(meh). At other locations I’ve enjoyed the Cranberry Kelli and the Olivia’s Old South too The grape salad rocks, and I’ve gotten excellent reports on the broccoli salad. On the last visit I substituted the Key Lime pie for the cookie. It was $ 1.99 more, I think, and the piece of pie was tiny. Delicious, but tiny. Lesson learned for me. I have two minor issues with this CSC, both of which will probably even out over time. First, it is very cold in there. Yes, it’s awfully hot outside, but it’s uncomfortably cold sitting at the table. The second is that the staff is honestly too darned attentive. On my first visit I was trying to have a serious discussion with a friend and we could hardly get a sentence out without a very polite offer to take our plate, refill our tea, check on if everything is okay, honestly enough to wear us out. The second time it was intrusive but not nearly to the same level. I love the attention to customer service, just tune in a bit more to what the customer is doing first. Sometimes less is more. Welcome to Southside, Chicken Salad Chick!
